Due to the natural floods now surrounding the area, wildlife has pretty much grown out of control and there is more greenery than concrete remaining in Old Pahala. Most of the buildings that have been overrun by nature have had their foundations worn down due to the passing of time—and unless one values their life, they wouldn’t come near it. All the same though, thrill-seekers and exploration groups make a living by going through the Olden part of the city; and in some areas the floods are shallow enough for people to walk on—while other areas have waters running so deep that boats are required.

The Privateer Tower, found standing tall above the rest of the abandoned structures, has been established as the one ‘neutral zone’ wherein explorers, traders, and tour guides alike can meet without fear of being mugged—or worse. The place has its own charming appeal—and people have been coming and going through the place as of late.
