Alterna City Aquasphere 17:10 After squaring off the deal with Kouji for a Growlithe egg, Thomas immediately decided to become one of the first customers of the Aquasphere. And once he was armed with an Aquatic Ball, he brought out Bubbles the Azurill, who hopped onto his shoulder immediately, before the two would head off into the lower levels of the Aquasphere. Thomas was informed of the rules about capturing any of the Pokemon residing here: no violence. With Bubbles at his side, this would hopefully not be a problem for the teenager, as she was a very friendly Pokemon.
But just to be safe, Thomas brought someone else along. Thomas released the creature from their Pokeball, revealing a pink and cream-colored Pokemon with floppy ears and a fluffy coat of fur. Pulse hugged his trainer on sight, causing Thomas to hug him as well, before the two of them would continue through the Aquasphere, holding hands as they looked around.
Thomas knew exactly what he was looking for in the Aquasphere. The only question at this point was actually finding the Pokemon in question. Thankfully, he didn't have to worry about hostilities from any of the residents, so long as he didn't threaten them. Bubbles was at least good for making friends of Pokemon.

As the trio made their way through the Aquasphere, they would find themselves crossing through an open area with plenty of perches. Though none of them could reach the perches themselves, they did see something perched up high above. It was a familiar white and blue bird, something native to the Hoenn Region.
A Wingull was watching down on them. Thankfully, the creature seemed to be relaxed at this point, and not willing to engage them in any sort of combat. But then, it was to be expected due to the nature of the Aquasphere. Pulse the Audino smiled at the bird and waved at her in a friendly manner.
The Wingull did her best to wave back to the fluffy Audino, before flying over to one of the other perches, closer to where there was food being dispensed for the flying-types within the Aquasphere.
The trio continued on while leaving her to get her meal.

The group had continued through the Aquasphere, heading down to the lower levels. As they were traveling down the stairs, they could see something swimming by them. It was a familiar sight, a small mudfish. Thomas had seen this creature in his travels several times, and its evolved form being used in many battles he paid witness to.
As the group walked down the steps, it was clear that the creature was following them, curious about the visitors to the Aquasphere. What it didn't know was that this trainer was one of those who had donated Eggs to the Aquasphere in the past, responsible for some of the Azurill and Slowpoke in the facility.
Pulse was the first to wave to the mudfish, greeting it with a friendly smile as usual. The Mudfish acknowledged the wave, trying to find a way to wave back at the pink and cream-colored creature on the other side of the glass. Finally, he managed to imitate the motion with his tail.
After that, something else would catch the attention of the Barboach, leaving the trio to continue onward.

As the trio continued through the area, they would eventually find themselves approaching a cordoned off area of the Aquasphere. A sign mentioned that something was in there, that whatever it was, they were taking a risk just by passing the warning sign. Thomas looked to Pulse and Bubbles, who looked at him worriedly. Thomas recalled them to their Pokeballs in order to keep them safe.
He would then bring out a familiar face, something he brought along just in case something went wrong on his travels.
Ripper looked at the trainer, cocking his head to the side, wondering why he was brought out of his Pokeball. But when he saw the sign, he shrugged. If there was going to be a fight between him and something dangerous, he was certainly all for it.
Once the duo passed the barricade and saw the isolated tank, Thomas knew he hit jackpot. Inside of the cell-like tank was a Clauncher, one who looked rather angry. The sign alone told Thomas that this Clauncher had some issues, possibly being a violent Pokemon. While this was out of place with the otherwise peaceful residents of the Aquasphere, and would potentially drive off visitors, this was perfect for Thomas.
“Ripper, if I’m right about this one, he’ll be perfect for our team. Of course, using violence is still forbidden, but I figure you could persuade him to join us. Arceus knows he’d be better off with us than rotting in isolation.”, he told the Scyther, who grinned in response.
Ripper walked up to the tank as the Clauncher focused its piercing gaze at the gigantic mantis. However, what really struck the shrimp was the fact that the insect approaching him wasn’t at all phased by his glare, and neither was the human accompanying him. Even if they wandered in here by sheer accident, it seemed like they wanted something with him anyway.
Though Thomas couldn’t understand what either party was saying, the two would be able to understand each other as they spoke.
<“Yeah, what the fuck do you want?”>, asked the Clauncher.
<“Come now, I just want to talk to you.”>, replied the albino Scyther.
<“Well, isn’t that something? Most of the residents and visitors in this shithole don’t even want anything to do with me. And anytime I get into a… dispute… one of those asshole humans pulls me from the population and pops me into the fucking thing.”>, the Clauncher told the Scyther.
<“By dispute, you mean a fight.”>, Ripper continued.
<“Yeah, most of the others in this thing are a bunch of fucking crybabies. Hell, even my own twin fucking brother is whipped. It isn’t helped by the fact that people running this shitshow enable that bullshit.”>, the Clauncher ranted.
<“Well, there’s your problem. You’re a violent individual forced into a peaceful community. As long as you’re here, you’re going to be stuck in that tiny tank. If they haven’t already put two and two together, they’ll keep you locked up in that thing, for the good of the population, they’ll say.”>, Ripper told the Clauncher.
<“But I have a proposal for you.”>, Ripper said to the Clauncher.
The Clauncher’s looked up at the albino Scyther. <“I’m listening…”>, the Clauncher told Ripper.
<“If you come with us to the outside world, not only will you not have to deal with the residents and employees of the Aquasphere any longer, but you get a life of adventure, and lots of violence. You see, my master here has a grand goal to hunt people down. And in his plan is a Clauncher, due to the capabilities of your species. And so far, you’d be perfect for the role of the pissed off Clauncher who gets to rain hellfire down on the sorry bastards who had crossed him, making them all suffer for their actions. Not to mention that he could help you unlock your full potential, turn you into a proper killing machine. We all get to hunt for our own food, of course. My master isn’t too bothered by violence and brutality…”>, Ripper explained to the Clauncher.
<“So I get a ticket out of this dump, and I get to fuck bitches up? Tempting, but I gotta make sure I'm not just going from one dump to another. Tell me about your master...”>, replied the Clauncher.
<"Thomas is alright, actually. I met him back in the Johto Region. At the time, he was traveling with a tall gentleman, and I was itching to get into a fight myself. Needless to say, I ended up picking a fight with Thomas and the man, with the boy taking charge of the battle. Surprising, considering that I expected the man to jump into the fray. Now, get this, the boy decided to come at me with some tiny ass bug, a Joltik. Being the wild fool I was back then, I attempted to simply splat the bug and demand something bigger. But turns out that tiny bug was a proper engine of destruction, I couldn't hit the little bastard to save my life, and he managed to bring me down like a little bitch. I was hesitant to leave the wild, I was afraid that there was going to be some sappy junk about friendship, love, and kindness abound, the stuff I heard about when travelers came through the area. But he trained me up to be a better killing machine, and even allowed me to hunt for my own food. If you want, I can show you some of this training.>, he continued.
The Clauncher grinned. <"Let's rock.">, he replied as he launched a Water Pulse at the Scyther. Without Thomas even needing to order him to do so, Ripper simply performed a slicing motion mimicking that of a Swellow's tail motion on the ball of water that managed to destroy it and cause it to dissipate harmlessly. The Clauncher continued, launching a volley of these attacks, to which the Scyther would match them by destroying them with Aerial Ace.
Eventually, the Clauncher resorted to launching a rock at the Scyther mid-air. He knew this was dangerous for the flying insect, and wanted to see how he'd react to such a move.
That was when he was caught off guard by the Scyther rapidly thrusting his blade towards the rock. As if his blade hardened like steel, the thing shattered mid-air, harmlessly exploding into tiny pebbles. He didn't know how he managed to do that, but the Scyther pulled off the closest thing to a Bullet Punch he could muster. The thing was that it was effective in that it managed to shatter the rock that could've otherwise dealt serious damage to him.
The Clauncher continued to test his reflexes, launching whatever rocks he could get at the Scyther in an attempt to throw him off guard. But each pebble was met with the same steely "punch" that shattered the first.
<"Not too shabby, if that was your master's training that gave you such moves, then maybe I could get on board with that...">, the Clauncher said to the Scyther.
<“It’s that, or spend Arceus knows how long in what equates to an isolated prison cell, possibly dealing with whatever they use to attempt to make you more palatable for the general population, if they even bother, it’s your call though.”>, Ripper said to the Clauncher.
Now the Albino Scyther would wait to see if the blue fish would accept their offer to join them in their rampage.

<"The choice between staying in this dump, and getting in on a life of violence ain't no choice at all. Tell your master to take that Pokeball he got for capturing the denizens of this place, and catch me in it. If you aren't lying, then I'd be better off with you and Thomas than with this hellhole.">, the Clauncher said to the Albino Scyther, almost taking no time before telling the mantis his decision.
It wasn't like Ripper and Thomas were going to take no for an answer, however, as this was the Pokemon Thomas had ventured to the Aquadome for, and his violent personality being an unexpected bonus. This would make it easier for him to condition the shrimp to be used against his enemies. Best of all, it seemed he and Ripper were getting along nicely.
Ripper turned to his master, and nodded to him, signifying that the Clauncher was ready to come with him. Thomas wasted no time in taking the Aquatic Ball, and tapping the Clauncher with it. Due to his willingness to join him, a single shake is all that took place before the familiar sight of sparks briefly flashing through the mechanism told him that the Clauncher was all his.
"Excellent, you'll be a fine addition to my crew...", Thomas said to the Clauncher as he left the Aquasphere, his goal having been completed.
Now all he needed to do was wait for Kouji to get back with him on that Growlithe egg.
