--- | They spent a good day of rest in their hotel room recovering from the other day's Skorupi attack. Now that he was effectively healed up and ready to roll, as well as his team, they were out and about again. But despite their energy, and Hunter's positive air, there was something else in the air. Something worrying. So while they walked along, Hunter had dialed his uncle, checking on him and making sure things were ok. As it turns out, uncle was also feeling it, and decided to check up on them too.
If he didn't find what he was looking for today, he'd head back to Aleal for a bit to stay around his uncle. He knew how he could get when this feeling came over them. He got so paranoid, so scared. It showed in his aura and it was heart breaking to know that after all he's been through, he's still going through it in his mind, despite his best attempts to hide it.
Sighing after hanging up and securing his phone into one of the pouches on his leg, Hunter looked down at Barium and pursed his lips, shrugging. They were gonna stay in the low lands this time. Trying to avoid any arduous rock climbs while they had this feeling. "Lets just stay on our guards. Alright everyone?" Osmium and Barium had a pretty good inkling on why both masters started acting this way, Iridium, meanwhile, felt a little out of loop until the psychic cat woke up long enough to explain what's going on.
That gave Iridium good enough of a reason to be even more on guard today than any other day.

--- | Well, today was a good a day as any to have bad feelings, it would seem. His eyes tracked a Drapion shaped aura coming towards them, shoving other wild Pokemon out of the way as it made it's way straight towards them. Right before it jumped down the hill, in front of Hunter and them, Osmium must've felt hostile intentions and blasted the Drapion with a quick Energy ball, and an annoyed sound. Hunter couldn't blame him, he could see where that idea could come from if that's what it was about.
All his Pokemon jumped to the ready as the Drapion stood up, recovering from the mid-air strike. Osmium though, grabbed Hunter's attention as he started to glow. The changing aura did hurt his head to watch, yes, but at the end, he wound up more dumbfounded than anything. "Well, that's convenient.... buuuut. you can't ride around in my jacket anymore. You'll choke me." They both wound up shrugging at each other, only to be shook back to reality by an angered roar.
"Don't interrupt others! Iridium, lets finish this for good!" He'd use Osmium in the fight, but the pokemon type match up was far from favorable. Watching his dragon step forward, an angered growl leaving her throat, he gave her a smirk before looking back at the Drapion. Yea, no, it wasn't going to skitter away this time. Not if it wasn't going to learn it's lesson from a half beating. As much as he hated over kill, it seems that it was necessary in some cases.
Uncle always said that some Pokemon, like most dragons, only learned the hard way. "Iridium, Dragon Dance." He commanded calmly, taking a deep breath now that things were, likely, going to get a bit wild. This was an Axew up against a fully evolve Pokemon. Wild Pokemon were relatively derpy though, it seemed. As Iridium started up her little dance, the Drapion charged forward, one arm drawing back and striking her with Knock off. Luckily, she wasn't holding anything. Win win.
"Dragon Claw!" Strike it physically while it was close. The Drapion hissed angrily as the claws struck out at him, but he didn't back up. Instead, a very familiar sounding noise came from the Drapion, straight out at Iridium. Of course it still knows poison sting. "Dragon Pulse!" He didn't like using that attack in this close of range, but it'd help get rid of the needles being fired and have some knock back power, hopefully.
In which it did, which was good enough for him. The Drapion growled at the team across from him while it was doing something to it's claws? He wasn't going to sit back and let it happen though. Taking advantage of the knockback, Hunter nodding to the Drapion again. "Dragon Pulse! Don't let up!" Range was where Hunter felt at home, it gave him ample time to read movements and call the next move, such as now for example. He couldn't exactly see the attacks, only feel them. As the Drapion was struck by another attack, he heard the same damn noise as before, another barrage of Poison sting while it pushed forward, stomping closer to them.
Too close for comfort, Hunter motioned his arm at the Drapion, feeling his heart jump into his chest as Iridium was visibly panting. "Move in! Slash!" Something different, but it was already too close. Taking advantage of her small size, Iridium ran up to the Drapion as soon as the Poison sting came to a halt, slashing at it's chest with sharped claws and tusks until it backed up once more. "One more Dragon Pulse, aim for the chest!" She'd deserve a break after this, that was for sure.
He felt the air move once again as the Dragon Pulse fired off. It sucked having such a limited resource on attacks, especially special attacks, but they'd have to settle. As a gargle left the Drapion's form and it fell over, Hunter quickly stepped over to Iridium, kneeling next to her to check her over for damage. Barium's tail moved slowly, side to side, and Osmium's head tilted as they also took a note of the dragon's condition. She was fine, not poisoned, just scratched up. Thanking whatever guardian Pokemon was watching over him for his pokemon not being poisoned, he picked her up, arms wrapped under her and started walking once more, his growlithe leading the way.
"Well. Hopefully he stays down. Didn't expect him to come back like that." Hunter commented absentmindedly, mostly to his self but to his Pokemon too, boots crunching bits of sandstone under him as they moved along, auras beginning to move once again now that the explosions and rampaging had settled down.

--- | Hunter continued forward with Iridium in his arms still. She seemed to be resting up just fine, and he couldn't exactly pour energy into his channeling to help her out too much, but what little he had been trickling had done the trick it seemed. She appeared so much more rested, but was still reluctant to be put down.
She did decide though, that she wanted down just as Hunter picked up on an underground aura coming to the surface. "Iridium, now is not the time to fight me on this." he sighed out, eventually having to put down the flailing dragon before she wound up accidentally hurting her. He was just worried about her, and it showed on his frown as he watched her bolt forwards towards the emerging Trapinch. Gritting his teeth, he relaxed a bit once he took note of Osmium's posture.
So long as the Trapinch didn't get aggressive with them, he'd be ok with this. It was what he was looking for, yes, but at the same time, his uncle had warned him of what they could be like. He watched as Iridium walked up to the 'boring' Trapinch, only to walk away smugly, angry that it hadn't reacted to her approaching. Instead, it just stared at Hunter, mouth half open, resembling some kinda stupid grin.
His attention was snatched as soon as Osmium's ears twitched. They didn't react fast enough and it wound up getting all of them caught in some sort of pit like terrain. It wasn't too sharp a slope, but Hunter had to fall back onto his rear and really dig his feet into the earth to stay where he was. Feeling rocks bite into his hands, he looked around at all his Pokemon's auras, and by the looks of things, Osmium had the best footing there. "Agh, geez. Osmium, can you battle it?"
Gathering Barium under one arm, he pushed him up into his ruck sack. As he gathered Iridium, he watched the Trapinch at the bottom of the pit stare at him still, mouth still half open. If he didn't know any better, he'd think it was dead. Once he had his Axew in his rucksack, tucked next to the Growlithe, he began blind climbing his way out of the slope.
When he reached solid ground, he quickly let his Pokemon out before standing up to turn to Osmium and the wild Trapinch. ... had it just tried to use it's ability on them? If so, it did a bad job, and he couldn't complain about that. He watched the two pokemon stare at each other as they... he had no idea what they were doing. They were just having a stare down. Furrowing his brow, Hunter put a hand to his chin and decided to join in on the stare down. "Attack it, see what it does."
He suspected it to attack back, but it'd be better than... whatever it was doing. Maybe it was waiting for them to make the first move, gah, hell if he knew. The noise that left Osmium though was a new one. Unable to pin point exactly what move was used, he assumed it was a new one ... oh right, his uncle told him that Kadabra learn Confusion after they evolve. Duh. That must've been what he used, and it obviously had enough of an effect to trigger the Trapinch to finally make a real move.
Tilting it's head some, Hunter listened as he heard a beam char- his thoughts were cut off when the air around him shifted and whatever the Trapinch just used knocked him onto his ass with a yelp. Osmium was also caught in the blast, letting out an annoyed sound as it got back up from where he had landed next to his master. "What in the heck was that?! Are you ok buddy?!" He quickly asked, head whipping over to check on the Kadabra next to him. There was no way that was a Hyper Beam. He tried to rule out the other attacks his uncle had taught him, but that just felt like a lower powered form of an attack that uncle griswold had shown to him. "There's no way it just used Hyper Beam. Right?" He had a mega hard time believing this, could you blame him.
"Well, if that's what it did, then quick, Energy Ball!" His Kadabra had given him a nod after he had asked if there was no it was Hyper beam. He took it as a confirmation that yes, that Trapinch did just try to blow them to oblivion with a powerful attack, but that also meant it'd need to recharge. So take the opportunity to strike while it's weakened. He continued listening to the sounds of battle as Osmium struck the wild pokemon.. still in the pit, with a Energy ball, knocking it down, but not out.
Without hesitation, he reached into the pouch where he kept the empty pokeballs and threw one towards the aura trying to get up at the bottom of the pit. He didn't want to risk having his pokemon's face blown off by another Hyper beam, much less his own. Lower form or not, that was still a powerful attack to just throw around.
