Horizons is officially CLOSED. The board will remain accessible as an archive, but staff has moved on. If you're looking for a new Pokemon RP, try Lucky Strike or any number of others.
Welcome to Veria!
Pokémon Horizons is an expansive RP driven by member-planned plots and regular site events more than any singular site-wide plot, meaning there is always something to do and always room for new ideas.
From classic Pokémon staples to simple slice-of-life to grandiose encounters with Legendary Pokémon, there's a little something for everyone. We've been open since December 2015 and are always eager to welcome new friends~
Arcadie had bought a fossil. Her other Pokemon were still fairly confused by this behavior. Well, Ficelle wasn't, but the Drifblim rarely showed much emotion and he had been with her the longest and therefore understood her strange desires and antics much better than most of the others. So the blimp-like Pokemon was carrying her to Liggs.
The girl had done her research. While she had no qualms about paying to have a fossil revived, she found that this professor's work also gave the Pokemon a move that could only otherwise be inherited by a parent. There was a whole lot of other articles talking about this particular thing and how interesting it was that the revived Pokemon were still able to create eggs and blah, blah, blah blah. Arcadie didn't care so much about that part. What she did care about was the Morgause Laboratories.
As they approached the building in question, the girl observed it as Ficelle brought her right up to the door, at which point Arcadie stopped him, thanked him, and returned the Drifblim to his Pokeball before she entered the lab. Patting her messenger bag gently, she felt the fossilized Pokemon and nodded her head with a smile. To cover why her behavior was strange: she was a fanatic of Ghost-types, with a secondary appreciation for Dark-types. Why she was making such a great effort to revive a Rock and Grass-type... was easily guessed by her Pokemon, but they still thought it was weird. Even her Treecko thought it was strange!
"Hello? I'm hoping to revive a fossil," she'd explain to the air as she stood in the lobby.

Michiru sighed as she finished feeding some of the pokemon she’d been taking care of for Alanna, she wasn’t exactly a breeder or a rancher but sometimes taking care of the pokemon that stayed at the lab was a nice little chore to pass the time and gave her assistants a bit of a break. She hadn’t been getting out much lately and so smaller jobs were a way of breaking up her time, in addition to her little ‘dates’ with Alanna and some minor photoshoots with some cuter visitors and assistants.
She patted a cute little Vulpix and finished up, running over the daily paperwork for her research and reports, making sure everything in the lab was up and running and they were giving their best assistance to passing trainers. They’d as always been getting a lot of fossil revivals lately, she supposed it was natural that more people came to her for her expertise in reviving ancient pokemon rather than random beginner trainer tips though.
Speaking of which, she heard the camera for the lobby go off and heard the voice calling, not bothering to glance up to see who it was at first and just heading out. The blank white wall of the lobby opened up in front of the visitor and entered into the lab proper as Michiru stepped out, straightening a wrinkle in her lab coat in the process. She looked over the clipboard for her reports before nodding softly. “Alright, I think we can get that done for you rather quic-“ She looked up and her eyes widened.
“That dress…” She said with clear excitement despite her continuously deadpan expression. “What a lovely gothic Lolita style…” She lifted the hem of the skirt casually, perhaps a bit to far as she examined the cloth. “Elizabethan style… no, Victorian, how wonderful, so ornate.” The professor mused, always being a sucker for a cute girl in an elaborate outfit. She loosened her grip on the skirt and cleared her throat, composing herself slowly. “P-Pardon me.. yes, let’s get to work on you.” She chuckled softly, extending a hand for the fossil as she led her back into the lab.
The girl had just stood there patiently, ready to listen to a bit of an excerpt regarding procedures and such. That is, until the professor was fawning over her dress. If it was lifted too high, Arcadie actually didn't pay it much mind. She was covered even underneath, after all, and if someone was appreciating the design of her clothing, she wasn't about to complaing. Once Michiru gained a bit more control over herself, the girl just smiled.
"No need to apologize, professor. I appreciate the reaction. Not many can appreciate the fine details of my dresses. I make most of my clothes myself, by the way." Following after, she pulled the Root Fossil from her bag and handed it over. "If I'm not mistaken on which Pokemon this fossil is from, I'll be getting a Lileep. Are there any pointers you can give me on that breed? I usually focus on ghost-types, so... a revived Pokemon will be a bit new to me." Normally she'd prefer the dead stay dead... She found them cuter that way, generally.
