"God DAMMIT!"
Slamming her new metal hand into the side of the game machine, Mia jolted a little as the screen blurred, but thankfully she wouldn't need to replace anything. That was the 5th game she'd lost in a row and she hadn't had a win since she got here! What made her think it was a good idea to pick a fighting game to spend her money on again!? And why with someone? She was seething through her teeth as her purple eyes turned sharp, slowly turning to the kid that was a little jarred standing next to her, easily half her height and the kind to have a backpack and a backwards hat.
"...S'just a game lady. Geeze."
"Yeah well if you knew who I was you'd know why this pisses me off." She groaned a little as she crossed her arms with a huff. She was the fighting gym leader who couldn't play fighting games, leaving her with a little grumble under her breath. "Fucking shoryuken..."
"My mom says that's a bad word." Her eyes shifted to the kid again, less sharp but clearly a little frustrated with him...ah she couldn't stay too mad. She lifted his hat and ruffled his hair, plopping the cap back on his head the right way, and holding out the roll of coins she'd brought to play the arcade games. "Oh er...hey this isn't a Pokemon battle miss, I don't-"
"Ah I'm done playing anyway kid. Consider it a little prize for being a good kid and not rubbin' it in my face."
"Heh...thanks miss. I'm gonna go play the old mario karts!~ Wanna come?"
"Heh, nah I'm good." Mia smirked a little, watching the kid get excited to have some more change to play with and waving them off as they went, taking a long breath to calm herself down, and lifting her jacket off a stool she'd left it on nearby, hooking her arms into the shoulders, getting her right arm briefly stuck since the knots she'd been putting the jacket in had left the right sleeve permanently creesed and a little awkward to push through. She'd still came here for a good time while she was in Sinclair, and she was gonna get one...she wouldn't like the library...maybe a good meal...? Oh hey wasn't there a gym leader here?
She'd never challenged the other gym leaders, but she liked to think she was the best...heh...maybe she could get the chance to prove it now...
Riding the elevator up to the gym floor, Mia walked out into the greeting area for challengers. She could hear the cheer of a crowd as someone seemed to walk out, head low. "Heh, tough luck in there?" He heard a mumble from them as they pushed past her to get into the elevator, narrowing her eyes...the fuck was that about...? Rolling her shoulders back she tried to ease herself up, get rid of the tension she was carrying from that street fighter game and walk up to the front desk.
"Hey er...you get challengers like that a lot?" Even when Mia beat up challengers or refused them the badge for not fighting they never seemed to leave that pissed.
"Ah, our gym leader has a special rule...some can find it unfair."
"Huh...well I'm sure I can handle it. Let 'em know the Liggs champion~" Yeah she totally ranked over Damian no matter what bird boy said "Is here for a challenge...~"
"Ah of course...would you liked an audience or a private battle. This isn't a special luxury, all players are given the choice.
"Oooooh. I'm gonna want an audience.~"
