Mission name: Back in Action Participants: Mia Kearney Catching?: No Spawning: 4 spawns of a general 'situation' with a trainer to battle. Just one fully evolved Pokemon per trainer. The situations can describe the place Mia finds the goons, describes one of them escaping. Gimme a car chase at the end if you want too!~ Mission details: OOCly this is primarily an excuse to expend some energetic muse, and to put Mia right back on her feet ICly- During Mia's absence a few cheeky folks thinking they could get by without one of her beatings have started to build their numbers together, and with no Pokemon left to train, Mia is eager to let out the full force of her gym back on them. Reward: Depending on how she handles the case, a Mod can decide if the League will deem Mia ready to be informed of how she lost her arm. No reward otherwise.
Riding her bike down towards the shadier parts of the city, and even then, underground, it wasn't easy to even tell the difference, Mia was sure as she could be that the guys who'd been trying to claim some "protection money" from the small business' nearby were held up in here, and feeling like she was back on her game, Mia was excited to see if she could pull off some damage here...no. No damage. She was calmer now just...take 'em out, hand 'em in, maybe get a bit of fun out of it too...yeah. Yeah that sounded better. Just needed to keep a strong head on her shoulders and do this right.
The sound of the motorcycle moving down the streets would rouse some individuals from their dens. A couple of honest folks stepped out to watch and wave before rather quickly disappearing back inside for their own safety, but before she even got to the end of one street, a couple of men seemed to be gathering. Hunched over, hands in their baggy pockets, they were a stereotypical sight if not for the clear red bandanas on their arm, a marker of the gang they'd been swept up into.
"Yo it's Kearney," one of them, a younger member, whispered loudly. "Guys we should-"
"Shut up Bobby, we know who it is," one of the other young man snapped. "And we ain't afraid of a little girl with a mech arm." The two other ones in this particular posy agreed. The younger member frowned. His gaze flicked around before a step was taken back and he set a hand on the back of his neck. Eh, he was the last on the totem pole. He could just… run if things got hairy, yeah?
The one who'd just spoken whipped out a Pokeball and released a rather intense looking bird.
Tossing her helmet back to land nicely on the bike, hanging off one of the handlebars, Mia gave her hair a light ruffle as she moved closer to the three little goons, recognizing the red band from what she'd heard from the little businesses she was supposed to be helping out with this today. So they knew who she was well enough, but they were also a little cocky. Mia had to hand it to them, they knew what pokemon to pick for her...long range, ghost type. Mia at least had to hand it to them, they had a good head on their shoulders.
"Little girl eh? Man I'm taller than you!~ Get over here and say that!~" With a confident smirk, she shook her head and snickered as neither of the leading goons seemed immediately eager to rush over and take her on. So she was coming to them? Fine. Bringing her golden arm forward, she pulled her pokeball out and tossed out her Toxicroak, Jack taking a second to register his surroundings before locking eyes with the owl archer. This was for him?~ Oh this'd be fun. His eyes shifted back to Mia as she adjusted her headphones, humming to herself as she picked out a song from the ipod on her Bicep.
"Bitch you listening to tunes!? You think we ain't worth your attention?"
"Nah.~" She replied pretty chill. If she was gonna stay calm, she needed to keep her mood up anyway, so what better way than some tunes. With a nice song picked out, she settled into the meal and lowered herself forward, hunching over a little as she loosened up, trying to take on a pose she'd gotten from a combination of Saitama her Infernape, and, surprisingly, Niso's more wild style of fighting. If she stayed loose like this, it'd be easier for her not to put her full weight behind an attack while still staying unpredictable.
The two goons, realizing she wasn't about to back up, rushed forward with their Decidueye providing back up, pulling back an arrow as he took aim not for the Toxicroak but Mia herself, firing off the brown leaf tipped arrow, only for a blue and red blur to snatch out out of the air, Jack croaking with confidence as he leaped over the head of the Goons and began to rush for the Decidueye, forcing it to focus on him specifically. The Wild motions of a sword dance as he advanced aided his evasion, but the odd strike still hit him. Thankfully as a poison and fighting type, little the bird could fire on an arrow could actually deal it much harm, and with his toxic thorns filling up, he was ready to deliver a strong punch and finish this quick!~
As for Mia, with two on one she was liking the odds, dipping back and away from the first swing, and whipping around, keeping her arm loose and letting the centrifugal force of her spin (see Damian she could use big words too) push her arm out, striking across the Goon's face with a back handed fist that luckily wouldn't hit the same power as if she'd thrown a real punch. The other Goon rushed in to follow up and nearly managed to get at Mia, but the fluid stance she'd adopted had her shifting out of the way of the punch like a leaf swirls around a strong breeze. A more well aimed punch took out the second goon as she delivered it to the gut, and before the first could get back into the action, a swinging kick under his legs knocked him off balance, and a foot to the chest let him know it wasn't the best idea to be getting back up.
With Toxicroak, the Decidueye could recognize how close they were getting, clicking his beak and rearing back to launch into a run. If he could get off a strong brave bird it'd easily finish off the reckless Toxicroak, but before it realized the distance had been cut between them with a sharp, fast bullet punch, followed by an uppercutting Poison jab to finish the bird off. Mia looked beyond the pokemon and smirked at the last Goon in the distance, watching him briefly debate himself before turning and running.
"5...4....3..." Mia continued to count down in her head before gesturing for her Toxicroak to cut down another alley, rushing for her own bike and kicking off, riding fast to give chase, but trying to make sure the goon had enough space to run for back up and let her catch the rest of the gang.
The youngest member of this trio had indeed turned to run, pretty fast given what was at stake and how Mia seemed bent on chasing. Unfortunately for him, as he turned a corner, he'd bump into one of the more menacing of the group. Before Mia could even get to him, an ear wrenching scream echoed down the alleyway. A body dropped, and as Mia came around, she'd see a rather menacing sight. Well, this one was certainly unhinged. "Yo lady," he chuckled with this toothy grin. "Thanks for gettin' rid of those slackers, but you better stop now."
And he's got a nasty friend

As Mia rounded the corner to find the bloody clawed thug, she was at first a little stunned, the gut reaction she had actually one of brief panic. Suffice to say she still didn't fancy her odds with things that could probably take her 3 remaining limbs down to two...all the same of course she steeled her nerves and put on a confident smirk, sauntering forward and shrugging casually as she faced the punk.
"I'm gonna take it from the fact you ain't wearing brown pants you don't know why I am."
Mia grinned as her referance seemed to fly overhead too, shrugging it off and continuing nonchalantly. "Oh you know, people dress for what they expect. I dress in yellows and golds cause of all the glory and praise I expect to recieve, meanwhile you shoulda went for the brown pants cause you're 'bout to be shittin' yourself!~"
"Heh...yeah...course I am." Winding up an arm, the thug rushed forward as his Pokemon did, Mia quickly throwing out a pokeball to the side to take on the Rhamparados while she ran in to take on the guy. Despite that gut instinctive fear from experience, she powered through it with a strong, Mia brand Grin as she threw out her right arm in the path of the claw coming down upon her, the thug expecting to rip her apart, only to come out with a stunned expression of his own when his claws were stopped by what he'd expected to be flesh beneath the sleeve, only just now noticing the metal finger tips coming through Mia's glove.
"You're...you're that gym leader!?"
"Damn right I am!"
Throwing her arm out to knock away the clawed hand, she rushed in with a jab to his gut with her flesh hand, following with a rough grab of his hair, dragging his face down into her knee and slamming it back up against his nose and chin, grinning wide as she heard a satisfying crack, but not wanting to overdo it, she used his dazed state to pin him beneath her, throwing the claw off his open hand in his dazed state and looking over to see how her Heracross was doing.
The bug fighter was doing quite well, having met the raging rhamparados with a heavy strike of it's own horn and making the two of them slam into eachother, surprisingly of equal match of horn against skull. With a strong upward toss of it's horn, the cheeky little Heracross flung the hefty rock type into the air, falling back into a brick break to the gut.
The man may have beeb down, but he was not beaten just yet. He struggled a bit between Mia and the ground before finally releasing yet another Pokemon. Hah, who cared just a single Pokemon around now a days anyways?
I guess the cycle of cutting things continues or something.

Watching the Gliscord burst out and take out her Heracross, Mia was oddly surprised. "Well that's...oddly a first..." Her distraction at the mere fact a random thug had more than one pokemon, she was letting the thug under her get enough room to kick her in the abs, staggering backwards with a pained expression and glaring through her narrowed eyes, lifting her arms up ready to fight as she got back into a fighting position, the thug adjusting his metallic claws.
"You still wana go?"
"You know it lovely~"
Gritting her teeth she looked between the clawed thug and the Gliscor, dodging a swooping attack from a Gliscor and lifting her arm against a swipe from the man's claws, cutting at her sleeve in the process and leaving her a little annoyed. "Fuck...I actually liked this jacket..."
Tearing the rest of that sleeve off to reveal her metal arm in it's fullest, she popped off her panel as she dodged another attack from the Gliscor, throwing out her Rhyperior to meet it, the Pokemon spawning in midair and slamming down hard on the flying Pokemon, leaving Mia with her own opponent, sparks flying off her arm as the claws scraped along it, wrecking the paint job and maybe actually calling from some re-inforcement work when Jazz got a chance. Not that it wasn't hard enough, more just Mia didn't want permanent scratch marks on the thing.
"Right that's-!" About to clock him with her metal fist, she bit her tongue lightly and resisted the urge, dodging another strike and jabbing his nose with her flesh hand, dazing him and sweeping a leg under his to put him on his back. "How you doing Rhyperior?!"
The Rock titan swung his hefty tail against the Gliscor, holding a wide smile as he seemed to take the glider out.
Now down and out for good, the man seemed to pose no threat thereafter. Instead, from the corner of her eye, Mia would see a fierce looking young woman with a bandana around her mouth looking more annoyed than anything else. "Really, Frankie?" she growled looking then at Mia and swinging the baseball bat off her shoulders. "Arceus do I have to do everything around here?" Fishing out a Pokeball, she also released a Pokemon.
A final adversary!
