Clipping both into her hair and twirling briefly, Kris took in a deep breath. She loved this! If only it could always be Star Fest! The Wynaut in her arms trilled a bit at the spin enjoying it for the fleeting moments that it occurred.
It was only thereafter that Skye’s words rang in Kris’s ears and she realized at some point he had pulled out a camera. The girl beamed quite a bit, nodding her head once. “Sure!” As stressful and uncomfortable as glamour shots could be at times, she loved them, really. She loved the idea that she was a part of something, a bigger something, something that could last as long as the digital age itself!
Clasping the hem of her ruffly skirt, she gave a small one-armed curtsey to the camera ready for Skye to snap a couple of pictures. Thereafter, she eased up and twirled again, flashing a brighter smile. The Wynaut in her arms was starting to get dizzy, but he was seeing stars finally so! This made more sense given the festival’s name. Calling softly, he threw out his ear arms now and again as if to add to the scene.

After a few more adjustments to the camera it was finally ready, he waited until she was ready and took a few snaps. He pulled the camera back to see the snapshot appear on the small screen, this one came out really nicely. Skye tilted the camera to show Kris how it came out.
"Looks really good. What do you think?"
She looked pretty excited now, this festival must be like the best thing that has happened to her. It kind of has been the best thing for him too, things have been on the up and up for him so it was really icing on the cake to have something new and exciting to do. As they began to venture again they finally passed one of the various food sections of the Festival. Auxiladora squaked and started moving around excitedly.

Leaning forward to look at the picture as Skye showed it, Kris slowly smiled. “It’s cute!” Of course it was cause she was cute! But aside from that, Kris could earnestly say she liked the picture which was something at least. She eased up some after that before following Skye onwards through the festival grounds.
Kris’s gazed bounced here and there drawing over the numerous stalls and stations again. However, as she walked, she became more and more aware of the thoughts around her. The low hum was becoming a gentle roar, and her stomach twitched and did a flip flop at it. She barely registered that Skye was being pulled under a gentle call and tap of her Wynaut pulled her focus back to reality. H-huh? Blinking a couple of times and looking around, she watched as Skye was pulled by the Spritzee.
“O-Oh, yeah I could eat,” she answered shifting the Wynaut to her shoulder and walking over towards Skye. Looking up into the stall the Spritzee had pulled Skye over to, she looked thoughtful for a moment drawing in all that was there. “I guess maybe sausage on a stick would be good…” she mumbled to herself looking back to Skye. “What are you getting?” The Wynaut was less hungry but interested to see what that good smell was anyways. His ears swayed as he let out a small cry again.

Kris seemed to be distracted by something although he wasn't sure what, maybe it had to do with the buzzing in his head again. Either there was another skilled person around them or...Kris was using her powers? But he hadn't seen her do so. Curious. His mind wandered away from those thoughts as he considered what to eat. Well he wouldn't be able to eat out in the open like this. No no, that would be an awful idea. He could imagine the chaos that would follow.
"Ah maybe I'll just grab something to bring into the observatory."
If they found a nice dark place to sit he could eat under the cover of darkness and no one would notice him. He looked at the choice of snacks. Something sealed would do just fine. For Auxi, Skye found some homemade pokefood yhat actually looked very good. Skye got that, a snack pack for himself, and the sausage on a stick Kris had asked for. He held outthe stick Kris while Spritzee was digging into the bag of pokefood.
"Hey, hold on there. You don't know if Wynaut wants any or not."
Auxi looked at the wynaut. <Hey! Do you want some? Its really good!>

No no, that would be an awful idea.. An alarm bell went off in Kris’s mind, and she froze for a moment before looking slowly back to Skye. O-oh? Her gaze flickered over the profile of his mask before glancing away again. She… realized she really didn’t know what was under that mask or the story behind it. Not something you have a lengthy discussion of on first meeting, yeah? Still, the thought that Skye thought he was so ugly twisted around in Kris’s stomach.
Snacks, snacks, right. That worked too. She took the sausage on a stick as it was handed to her, a little surprised at Skye ordering but not having enough gal or will to question it. She took a bite and found it pretty good anyways. “Thanks,” she spoke briefly pinching off a bit for the Wynaut who was now staring up at her. The latter frowned. That didn’t taste as good as it smelled, hmph. Unfortunate. That other thing smelled good though! Looking up to the bag of Pokefood, he ushered out a small cry in response. <Yes!>
Kris giggled a little and shifted the Wynaut some so that he could get a couple bites in as well. “What do you think?” the returned noise of happiness said it all. “I’m glad~!” She took another bite and allowed her gaze to flicker off towards the observatory again. It wasn’t too far off now, just a little further and over some rugged terrain. Liggs was all like that, thought. It made it pretty neat.
Speaking of which. “Have you been to the underground part fo Liggs yet?” she asked.

Skye watched the Wynaut take a bite of the sausage, it made a face akin to utter dissapointment. Skye snorted a bit, and made sure to move the bag so that the pokemon could reach for some food. Auxi was still taking some bites here and there, being more cognizant about the other pokemon that was eating. From the corner of his left eye, he could see Kris staring at him for a brief moment before quickly looking away. Huh. He wondered what was that about? He ignored it as he didn't want to ask about something that was probably nothing.
However it would be Kristina to bring something up as she asked about the underground part of Liggs, Skye immediately shook his head.
"I've been to the tunnels but I haven't explored anything else. I heard there was like a gym underground, that must be pretty interesting. What else is under there?"
He shoved his snack into his bag and hoisted back up on his back. He looked at Kris very curiously now.

As Skye shook his head, Kris blinked before slowly nodding and looking forward again. “There’s actually a whole city down there… just like up here. All kinds of shops and houses built down there.” Had she not grown up next door to Liggs in one form or another, Kristina might have had trouble believing it herself.
The offer, however, had her smiling a bit. “Maybe after we go to the observatory?” Later into the night maybe or on a different day even? “The stars don’t shine like this all the time…” She’d hate to be underground during the comet’s passing heh. She was a celestial body herself, after all! Kind of sort of~
“I used to go into the Underground more when I was little. Dad always had work around Liggs when he wasn’t in Faraday.” She was never entirely sure how far his business spread, but it always felt like… all over Veria, really. Guess one had to be when banks were part of the business. “I haven’t really been since I went away to boarding school for a while.” A while being more than several years heh. “But upper Liggs has the stars!” she emphasized again before giggling.
Kristina Vasiliev earned: A Stardust! A small pouch of dust said to have scattered from the stars. (Sellable for Φ30) A Lovely Geode! There are sparkling crystals inside, but what kind? (Turn into the Gem Trading thread to receive a random Gem.)
Skylar Tenebrose earned: A Starfruit! A soft and juicy fruit bursting with nutrients. It's so good for your Pokémon it can be substituted for 1 evo point!
A Very Unstable Stone! Said to have crashed to earth inside a meteorite, it seems to be trying to take the shape of a Mega Stone, but which it will become is anyone's guess. (Turn into the Gem Trading Thread to receive a random Stone.)

An underground city? That sounded really cool actually, he imagine how it might be like with homes strewn about on cave walls or maybe its litterally exactly like the city above but made in stone? It could be very well normal but too many movies tends to create an unrealistic standard. It looked like Kris like the idea of going, but only after the Observatory. That was fair, she was probably looking forward to the practice anyways. He nods and begins the treck to their main obejective.
Kris was right about the stars though, Skye looks up at them for a brief moment. The stars have never been clearer than they have been this week, something Skye attributes to the comet passing. Perhaps because of the festival people weren't using man made light as much to get a better view of the comet and thus, the skies tonight were absolutely luminescent. Skye looked back to Kris once more, very intrigued. It was the first time she brought up anything specifically about herself.
"Yeah, I want to get some pictures of the comet as it passes, but after that we really should go. I'd love to see what it looks like down there."
He pauses for a moment.
"Also I kind of want to see what you're doing for this small show. Even if its just practice, it must be difficult to come up with performances for the themes."

Kris smiled a little as her gaze flickered upwards to the sky above. She had been away from home for so long, but every time Bal’s comet passed, she’d look up at the sky and be reminded that Veria was partying heh.
Yellow eyes cascaded downwards again and flickered to Skye as he spoke. “I… could show you some of the stuff I’ve worked on..” she slowed a little clearly thoughtful now. “Both for the show and Appeals and Performance round of the contest…. I can’t really plan out the Battle round but…” She wasn’t sure how much she wanted to show Skye. There were prying eyes that could just as easily swipe her ideas and mangle her hard work, but the prospects of showing someone aside from Kiran what she could do was….
Fishing out her phone, Kris flicked through her numerous clips and reflections of different parts of her practice. “This is… part of it,” she handed over the phone showing some of the work she had set up for the Appeals contest song that was already also clearly written by this point. The practice was much rougher than the eventual polish Skye would see at the contest, but there was the basic idea right there.

Skye watched Kris dig for her phone and swiped through a couple of things before showing him what she had so far. He looked through section carefully as he didn't want someone here to take Kris' ideas and use them in the contest. She worked reaally hard on her pieces and he would've hated to have that hard work all go to waste. He handed back her phone quickly once he was done looking through it.
"Well it looks good so far, I can't wait to see how it looks at the contest."
He stopped once he realized they were really close to the Observatory, he was interested in seeing it up close now. His glaze ascended up the building, wow this thing was much more bigger than he anticipated.

An uncertain look warmed into a bright of confidence across Kris’s features as Skye spoke. “It’s going to be great,” she proclaimed about as strongly as she could. If she spoke it enough times, it had to come true, right? Right.
It was only after that, though, that Skye mentioned they were there, and Kris’s eyes actually flickered forward again. Ooooh. Without a second thought, Kris clasped Skye’s hand and started inwards pushing passed the glass doors and into the large section of hallway that led to the telescopes. Numerous people were standing around looking at the various items and collections from space behind glass, but Kris had a very specific goal in mind right then. The biggest telescope was open to view the sky with that night, and she wanted to see through it at least once.
And unfortunately, so did a small crowd of people. A line was already there by the time they got there, and for a few seconds Kris’s features fluxuated between discomfort and uncertainty. She… did want to see it but she didn’t want to stand in line 8T.

Before anything else was said or done, his hand was grasped by Kristina's and she all but dragged him inside the building. He followed closely behind her as she darted for the telescope room, not interested in anything else. Skye looked back at the other stuff, it looked really cool actually. He hoped they could have time to look at them before they left. Once they stopped he looked back at her to see the mixed emotions on her face, she was looking steadily ahead of to the largest telescope. He noticed how long that line was looking.
"Oh no, looks like there's a line."
He looked back at Kris, she looked like she really wanted to see the telescope but something was keeping her from going. The line, obviously.
"Uh do you wanna look around and wait for the line to shrink or do you want to wait?"

As Skye practically voiced her thoughts, Kris frowned a little more. Yeah. Yeah there was indeed a line, a pretty long one too if considered with such an impulsive nature as she was to have. Yellow eyes flickered back to Skye as he spoke, and a sort of pensive look drew on Kris’s features for a moment. Wonder if we could just pay them to leave… Dad had done that before, but he always had wads of cash on him. Kris had a credit card and a couple of solid bills, but it was nothing that someone would find impressive given the atmosphere already.
Chewing the inside of her mouth, Kris took in a slow breath. It was fine, yeah? Yeah. “We can look around a bit in the meantime… I guess,” she answered with a small shrug, trying to be as nonchalant about it as possible. Her eyes escaped from Skye’s and drew around the observatory to the numerous displays that she had missed during her beeline for the telescope. “Oh—“ There appeared to be a rocket ship model on display alongside numerous technical things that had a vaguely spacey theme to them. Wandering over to it for now, Kris allowed her gaze to draw over it slowly. This was… actually kinda interesting…
