ACTIVITY CHECK!
Welcome to Horizons’ eighth Activity Check! To explain how we handle ACs to all the newbies and refresh our older members: Activity Checks are held once every 3 months, and look for certain requirements in the time frame since the previous Check ended until the current check ends (Feb 28 - May 31), meaning everyone has until the end of the month to squeeze in some posts if they've been busy or having trouble with muse lately.
We look for activity per character, and requirements vary a bit depending on how long a character has been around (we're more lenient on newer characters) and if they hold any special positions. Be sure to look over the list below. Standards are listed from highest to lowest priority, so if the first few cover all your characters, you're good; you can go ahead and skip down to the form unless you're just curious~
The post count asked for is total In-Character posts during the 3-month time period for the character. For instance, most characters are asked for 6 posts, which is an average of 2 per month, but can be spread out in any way. "One and done" threads like Swarms count, but only for up to half of a character's quota.
Characters recently un-archived count as having been "approved" during that timeframe for the purposes of the AC.
Note that we never delete accounts. Characters who do not meet the check are simply archived in an effort to mark them as "not currently active and available to RP", so that other players can more easily see who is around.
And that's it! Simply fill out the template below. Do not post as each of your characters, just be sure to @tag all your characters in your one post, from any character (or a staff/mod account), so everything is consolidated for each member. Thank you!

{More Notes About Archiving}As always, please keep in mind that archiving a character does not mean giving them up forever, and most characters can be revived at any time!
In the case of limited positions, like Gym Leader types and psychics, there is a chance of a slot no longer being available by the time you get both the time and muse to play them again. However, aura and psychic slots have not been filled since the cap was raised to 20 (Psychics have gotten close, but of course any archived mean that much longer until it's filled). You also have the option to "seal" mental skills for a time (Aura Users can keep some very very limited passive Sight at most) if you can justify it in-character, then have your character re-acquire them once slots are open.
In the cases of Gym Leaders and Professors, the character can always be revived without the position, being a dedicated type specialist or researcher without the official League association.
As such, there is little to no risk of not being able to get the character back. We simply want an accurate look at who's active, and in the case of Profs and GLs to open the positions to people who can make more immediate use of them, if possible.
That said, if you do have characters archived, please note: Characters willingly archived cannot be revived for at least one month (this applies at all times, not just in the AC). Characters archived due to inactivity can be brought back at any time. In either case, though, you may only bring back one at a time.
When seeking to unarchive multiple characters, you must either wait one month between revivals or hit 10 posts with the previous unarchived character, such that you either work your way back up slowly or prove you have enough muse flowing that you can handle more already. This is not meant as a punishment, of course, just to help ensure no one gets in over their head and gets overwhelmed, so the RP has the best chance of remaining fun for everyone!

CRITERIA
- If, at the end of the AC, it has been 1 month or more since a player has logged in at all on any of their accounts, all of their characters will be archived unless they've posted an absence notice. This part doesn't look at posts, this is just a simple "are you still here at all" check before anything else. Assuming one meets that:
- All players who have only one character are automatically safe, as long as they've logged in, even if they don't post in this thread. If you need to drop all but one character, please be sure to let us know which you'd like to keep.
- Similarly, all players with multiple characters have one "Freebie Slot", which can be used for a character you haven't been very active with lately but really do want to try to do more with soon. You must post in the AC to assign your Freebie Slot to use it.
-- Freebie Slots cannot be used on League class characters or Team leaders, but can be used on those characters if their positions are dropped. (Ex: having a Gym Leader retire to live as a Civilian or to pursue a new career as a Breeder, etc.)
-- Freebie Slots cannot be used on a character you used the slot on last AC. (This caveat does not affect players who only have one character.) - For characters approved between April 1, 2018 and May 31, 2018:
These characters are automatically safe, as long as the player has logged in recently. (New League characters are still subject to their normal check upon creation to secure the position, but that's a separate ordeal.) - For characters approved between March 1, 2018 and March 31, 2018:
Gym Leaders, Professors, and Team Leaders require 6 posts per character.
All other characters require 3 posts per character. - For all older characters:
Gym Leaders, Professors, and Team Leaders require 12 posts per character.
All other characters require 6 posts.
And that's it! Simply fill out the template below. Do not post as each of your characters, just be sure to @tag all your characters in your one post, from any character (or a staff/mod account), so everything is consolidated for each member. Thank you!
