All it takes is one looks at the outside of the shop to know what's inside. Small wooden shelves show off flowers and beneath them wooden boxes of fruits and nuts on sale. On the window, the words Welcome to Star Flower Grocery. Peering through the windows a wide variety of plants are on display to the left. On the right one can make out the wide variety of healthy fruits, berries and other orchard grown produce.
Upon stepping inside just to the left sits the cash register manned by the most unusual employee. An old gnarled wooden hand gives a wave to all who enter. The trevenant looking quite happy and content to just sit there. His fingers tapping in the prices and checking people out with a practiced ease.
It was easy to see this place was both human and pokemon friendly especially when one sees two playful pokemon entertaining some children in the middle of the store. A houndoom and vulpix making the children laugh and giggle as their parents do their shopping.
In the far back left corner one can see a blonde haired man talking about bouquets with a woman. His smile genuine as he suggests the variety of plants on display. To the right one can see a psyduck eyeing a child as he wanders the aisles. Her stance defensive as though ready to attack. It all felt oddly relaxing just stepping into a place filled with laughter and mostly friendly pokemon.
"We can deliver the bouquet as requested," Brent said smiling finalizing the deal on the flowers. They used a delivery service just down the street for all their immediate needs. The contract gave them a decent discount though Brent hoped in the future to maybe get more help and do the deliveries directly through the store.
Still with the recent health craze going about a place like this sold more produce than flowers on any given day. It was nice though; Brent had his greenhouse out back and lived above the shop everything was right where he needed it. If someone asked him but a few short months ago where he would be he wouldn't have known himself. So it was good to have roots down and the freedom to work the place as he desired. A part of him was still partially anxious though; wondering if his father would ever stop by for a surprise visit. A part of him wanted to impress the man who rarely ever spoke to him.
Brent carried on his duty writing down the order and date in a notepad. He'd sort them all out later, place the delivery truck orders and work on building them according to when they were needed. He pocketed the notepad and began wandering around the flowers checking to make sure that none had wilted from the day before. Presentation was everything with flowers. If people saw wilted ones they would think the others were bad as well. His eyes roamed the different colors intent on picking out the bad.
