Adriana stood up as the subway pulled to a stop, at the next station. The town in question was one that she had been most excited about visiting. Those whom she knew, called it a ‘Winter Wonderland,’ due to the fact it seemed to never stop snowing. She had also been told that it was a beautiful, although low populated sort of place, perhaps due to the climate.
Thankfully, Adriana had been pre-warned about the climate around Aleal City. Thusly, she was dressed in the warmest coat she could find as well as an oversized scarf draped around her neck and tied at least twice. Today, her hair was tied back into two ponytails, although hidden under a bobbled hat ad her hands cloaked in thick gloves which made it difficult to grip onto things well. But, at least she was warm. It seemed her partner, Squirtle seemed to be greatly opposed to the cold temperature was refusing to leave the warmth and safety of her Pokéball.
Albeit by herself, Adriana followed the few people who too, left the train at the Aleal stop, onto the station floor. For a moment, Adriana looked around, shivering slightly. Even with the mass of warm clothes she was draped in, it was definitely a different climate than what she was used too.
“So, where to go, now,” she considered, checking a board which had a map of the town pinned up in the bottom corner. She pondered for a moment, rubbing her gloved hand against her chin, as she concentrated. She left her bag at her feet as she looked up at the map, almost too lost in thought to realize what would and could happen next.
Without her notice, without her even realizing anything – someone had reached down and lifted the bag from beneath the girl's feet and edged backward into the flowing crowd. A long and wide smirk appeared from beneath a balaclava.

Mia had been in Aleal with Vesta visiting their cabin together. What had meant to be a nice little getaway from all the wedding plans had turned into a rather tense weekend doing nothing but. Mia had never really gotten the idea of marriage to begin with, so this whole thing had been a bit of a boring ordeal for her. Why did it matter what flowers they had? Why did it have to have a theme? Why on earth was Vesta obsessed with getting a non-white wedding dress? Somethng about her not being pure enough or some other bollocks, either way Mia just wasn't interested, so as Vesta dove into her plans Mia had just been hanging out with the dogs in the livingroom and, occasionally, going out for some fresh fire wood.
Now she was heading back on her own, Vesta had made it clear she wanted to stick around to get some calls and plans done away from Liggs' more bustling atmosphere, and that was fine, and fair. Mia just wanted to get back to work though, get a good challenger if she was lucky and clear her head of all this monotomy...
Heh...Monotonous monogamy. Good one brain.
Either way, she decided to hit the station, her Staraptor didn't like flying in the cold much, and while Liggs' high climate meant she was used to some chilly weather not all of her Pokemon were so lucky. By the time she got to the station she'd even unzipped her coat, letting it hang loosely off her shoulders, her thin orange sweater hugging her body underneath.
She was just reading one of the schedules on the above-head screens to see when the next train to Liggs would be when something caught her eye, a man bending down towards the floor...was he...? Oh. Oh that little shit. Inching back away with the young girl's purse, Mia, as bold as ever, wasn't about to let that go unnoticed. Behind the young girl she'd hear a very heavy 'CLUNK' sound as the back of the crook's skull met with a half-strength swing of Mia's arm, using her forearm rather than the fist of her right.
"The hell you think you're playing at!?"
The crook, staggared, easily dropped the purse and looked back at Mia. Mia could tell pretty quickly he was one of the few outside Liggs who knew her by sheer reputation and he quickly turned to run, only for Mia to reach out and yank him back by the hood of his jacket.
"Oh no ya don't!" Tugging him back and grasping his arm, Mia held his opposite shoulder and pushed it forward as she pulled his arm back. She wasn't usually a fan of grapples, but she'd learned through enough law suits that it was better than brutality...sometimes.
With the crook wincing and whining, Mia made sure she had the girl's attention with a soft whistle (as if the commotion hadn't gotten her attention already), then dipped her head to the purse on the floor. "That yours little lass?"

Adriana turned slowly, her eyes wide as she blinking in a befuddled sort of manner. Many things seemed to have happened at once.
At her side, a man dressed in a large black duffel coat, a bandana which cloaking a majority of his face from view. He was being held in place by a girl. A rather remarkable girl.
For one thing, one of her arms had been replaced by something that wouldn’t have looked out of place in a sci-fi film. She has a mane of hair which fell to her lower back, which made her appear like a fierce lion. Adriana blinked again and took the bag which was being held out to her. “Oh yes. That is my bag. Thank you,” she said. She slowly put two and two together, the man she was holding had been trying to take her bag and this girl has stopped him.
Panicking, quite suddenly, Adriana looked down in the depths of the bag. From deep within, she plucked out a single Pokéball and held it up. The surface of the ball glinted in the lights that surrounded the stations. “Glad you’re doing okay.”
Meanwhile, the man had clambered free of the girl's grip and had fallen back a few steps. He was holding the back of his head, a few tears in his eyes and a fierce unresolved scowl across his face. “I’ll teach you,” he growled, pulling a Pokéball of his own from a pocket of the coat. He threw it up and it burst open. From the stream of white light, a large Pokémon appeared.
The Pokémon was giant and scorpion-like. It had large claws attached to a purple and black segmented body. A large tail that ended with another claw like protrusion clanged against the station floor. “Gettum’ Drapion. Make her regret messin’ with us,” he said with a scoff. The large scorpion moved forward, long claws clinking together. The Drapion's claws glowed with an ominous white light, it raising them above its head. The Drapion fired a burst of white orbs trailing green streams of light at the opponent from its claws.
Several of the Pin Missiles flew towards the girl, some at Adriana and others few up into the ceiling. The surrounding crowd of people began to move back, some panicking from the sudden battle that had flared up. Most running towards the stairs whilst others ran towards their trains. “Watch out,” Adriana cried.

Once she had her purse back Mia gave the guy a hard boot as she let go of him, staggering him and sending him on his way. Not exactly on duty today she was willing to let him go off with that as a physical warning not to try something so despicable again. Seeing the girl had her Pokemon in the purse only pissed Mia off more and she was tempted to go after him anyway, but it seemed he wasn't exactly willing to take the easy way out either. With the Drapion taking the stage her eyes shot a little wide and she moved between the young girl and the large Pokemon, putting her left arm out behind her as she held her right fist tight.
"Heh, sometimes you guys just don't know when to quit huh?~" Even with the pin missiles, Mia stood strong, the large spikes devestating the subway like any strong Pokemon move would, Mia gritting her teeth as they luckily seemed to narrowly miss her body. "Stick behind me okay?"
Pulling her metal arm up infront of her, Mia rolled up the sleeve of her coat and popped open a small panel on her forearm, taking out a Poke'ball and enlarging it to it's full size before tossing it out just as a second Volley of Pin missiles were sent flying their way. The red flash of the ball giving form to a large red lobster Pokemon, Crawdaunt!
"Crawdaunt, Ice Beam!"
The Water Pokemon gave a cry to confirm the order, shooting out a stream of ice to the ground before it, ice pillars shooting up where the beam struck and impeding the advance of the Pin Missiles as they lodged into the thick ice. "Now!Crab Hammer!" "Crawdaunt!" Rearing a claw back, it shined with a bright light before rearing back forward, wacking hard into the ice wall it had made, shattering and firing the ice shards and caught pin missiles right back at the Drapion.
