"It's alright," Lucie spoke as she stood back up, dusting her knees off as she did so. Hiroto and Miyuna--what a pretty name, did it mean something in another language?--seemed to reach an understanding, and a promise blackmail for ice-cream to settling things. Good. Her eyes were soft and warm looking between the two of them, then back up to Hiroto properly with a small shake of her head. "I don't have children of my own...but my parents were pretty busy themselves growing up. I think the most important thing to do in these situations is remember how you felt to be a child in the same situation. It helps to understand how they're feeling. Though I guess I have a bit of an unfair advantage there." She chuckled quietly and left it at that.
Since the "serious" conversation looked like it had ended, Pear came bouncing up, the sound of maracas following him as he moved to be by Miyuna's side again. "Maaaaaar?" He tilted his head and pointed towards the berry trees. Seemed that somebody had been having lots of fun with their new friend. Lucie wasn't too surprised. Prickly Pear liked new people, especially those close to his size.
"Speaking of friends, it looks like you made a few yourself. Hm. Maybe you two can visit my farm soon, as another father-daughter day?"
Prickly Pear looked like he was about to learn Fly and zoom around the train-car we was so happy. "MAR! MARACTUS! MAR MAR MAR!"

As Lucie spoke, Hiro felt a little too shell-shocked that she would continue to effectively call him out to really react at first, but the audacity of inviting them over in nearly the same breath finally pushed him from ashamed embarrassment into rage. How fucking dare you presume to know my life. He had been a child in Miyuna's situation, raised by Mom and grandparents and occasionally uncles and he never felt neglected. He'd loved always having someone around and knowing Mom was doing great at school and-- yes he'd been a little shit when she started dating but A) he was older than Miyuna by then, and B) it had been awful of him and he'd like to think Miyuna was less petty and rebellious than he'd been.
No, it wasn't quite the same. Mom was a better parent and Hiro knew that. He knew he was shit without the reminder, thank you. What an absolute--
"That sounds fun!"
Hiro kept a pleasant expression through everything, and smiled a little sweeter. He couldn't know Lucie was an Empath who might feel the dissonance between his emotions and his expressions, after all. "We'll think about it~ You said it's in Alterna, right?"
"That's right down the mountain~!" Miyuna piped in.
"Mm-hm. We'll be sure to look it up later. For now, we should probably get going though, mm?"
"Awww. All right." She waved. "Bye, Miss Lucie!"
