The afternoon sun painted the lake water surrounding the marine tube of Alterna’s Aquasphere in a crisp yet fluctuating cyan. The ever-shifting light drew a lattice of blue and white across the crisp white tiles that led further down the tube. Sitting on the rows and rows of benches that traversed the area, Luke watched the water and the incredible amount of marine life in it move slowly. I could get used to a place like this… It was quiet, relaxing, and unstressful. I bet Orion would like it too… Maybe he’d ask him if he wanted to go next time. He had been busy doing something else today, however and well… this was a meeting after all.
What exactly Professor Sequoia wanted to do in the Aquasphere, Luke … wasn’t entirely sure. She’d invited him to come, and obviously there was only a certain number of things one could do in the aquarium, but he’d also heard there was a facility that allowed for friendly captures of certain special Water Pokemon which made things a little more interesting. It was back down the tube way, however, and he had yet to check it out. Nah, he’d wait around here and at least see if she showed up first or not.

“Heeeeyyyyyy Luuuuukey!” Waving happily as the purple panther between her thighs rolled slowly to a halt, with Sophie Sequoia as the X factor in this scenario, it was sure that she would not be arriving at the aquasphere in anything even barely resembling a timely appearance. Grinning as she pulled her helmet free and straightened her hair out with a flick, after turning off the engine on her murmuring motorcycle, the pink haired professor hopped free of her sporty transport and pulled up the sleeve to check the pink watch she was wearing.
“Whoops! Looks like I got here a little bit late!” Still grinning like a fool as she realized that almost half an hour had passed since she had agreed to meet this intelligent fellow, with one hand scratching the back of her head, she strolled up to her scholarly friend and slapped his shoulder playfully. “With good reason though, a youngster stopped me and asked me to look over their Rattatta?” Chuckling as she stowed her feline themed helmet underneath her arm, with a playful poke of her tongue Sophie shifted her hips and looked over her favourite resident of Veria.
“A remarkable specimen indeed, definitely in the upper percentiles!” Meeting this fellow at her little introduction party and loving him from that very moment, while at times Mr Indigo might have seemed shy and unsure of himself, Sophie felt like he was something of a hidden gem. A bright mind tucked away beneath that nervous visage, though his often quiet manner might have meant many would overlook him, as a fellow professor he was one of the few people who was already proving himself equal to Miss Sequoia. Seeming to find all manner of strange and exciting things to talk about, with the stimulation of this watery wonder to inspire them, who knew what sorts of sophisticated conversation these two could concoct?

Luke probably should have heard the motorcycle’s engine or at least made note of it as it was coming up. Instead, the woman’s words would startle him back into reality, and his head would jerk sideways, his yellow eye finding her immediately. Huh what huh— Lukey… A brow raised, but Luke gave a small nod back. Slowly starting to stand, he walked over to the tall, bright pink Professor.
Looking down at his phone time’s as Sequoia commented on being late, Luke gave a small shrug. “It’s fine, I don’t— kasjdhalsjd,” the shoulder slap had him looking back up again quickly. A younger wanted her to look at— Well, he supposed since she was one of those who dealt more readily in Pokemon research, this made sense— Though the more she spoke the more vaguely he found himself under the suspicion she was memeing him. A brow quirked, but he resolved not to question it too much.
“Ah- anyways,” Luke shifted a little from one foot to the other gazing off towards the Aquasphere. “From their pamphlets and internet news, I heard this place holds a lot of rare Pokemon with Egg Moves and Hidden Abilities,” he commented slightly shifting gears to a more comfortable topic for him. Facts were just… easier in general, yeah.
“It would be interesting to see a few of them or even capture them..” Luke looked back again finding him wishing he was taller (for the umpteenth time that very day) as he stared up at Sophie. “Not to mention with your interest in ecology and the proximity to your lab, I’d assume you’ve already looked over the ecosystem of the Aquasphere— but I have to ask anyways, is that why you wanted to come today or?”

Someone’s feeling talkative~? Smirking as her shy friend turned his attention timidly toward the sphere of sea life, Sophie Sequoia was happy to listen to his observations on the situation. Not having had much time to investigate this nearby marvel what with points of interest in more distant realms seizing her attention, the Professor had added this watery wonder onto her ‘to do’ list but perhaps might not had visited without the encouragement her fellow scholar offered. Intrigued by this fellow as much as any pokemon, while there was plenty of promise offered, this also seemed like a fine chance to mix business with just a little bit of pleasure. Here in Veria all alone, the blue eyed girl had bonded just a little bit with her current companion and looked forward to fostering an even stronger connection. It might have seemed childish, but even with an upbeat soul such as she possessed, things could get lonely from time to time.
“Aw, can’t a girl just pick a nice spot for our first date, hm?” Knowing that her flirtatious behaviour had already proven somewhat flustering for Luke and deciding to offer a little bit more added ‘spice’ as she reached for his hand, Sophie giggled and aimed to bump against him playfully as she behaved like a teasing big sister. You’d think I’d get sick of it when he’s so easy to fluster, but I only wanna see more! Chuckling at the excessive reaction that her playful act, Miss Sequoia hummed gently for a moment as she relished the reaction before putting on a more serious head before her buddy began to pout.
“But seriously, I’m rather intrigued myself… From what I managed to gather on this place, apparently it was pretty much built by a single soul, which seems like quite a fascinating fellow to understand?” Casting her own eyes now toward the brilliant and blue bowl that was their destination, the eyes of the Professor misted over as she wondered about the intentions of the person who created this site. A grand and time consuming endeavour to be sure, whoever it was that had come up with the concept was likely to be someone with a sense of adventure and wonder who rivalled her own.
“Not to mention the manner in which pokemon from all kinds of watery habitats will be mingling… Maybe we’ll see some forms of behaviour and adaptation unlike any other locale? Something new and brilliant?” Bringing a finger up to the tip of her chin and stroking it thoughtfully as the young woman began to move closer to their little ‘date spot’, with a look of intrigue the local took the lead in this spot of investigation, wondering just how many of the rumours and brochure details might prove true in this Verian marvel before casting her head back to her companion. "What about you, Professor Indigo? Here for the pleasure of my company or do you have some other secondary interest?" Smirking as she looked into the one good eye of her messy haired partner, Miss Sequoia winked playfully at her accompaniment and then held out her hand in case he wanted another grasp of her soft, sweet skin...

F-f-first date? Color shot to Luke’s features immediately. “T-t-that’s n-not-“ Not what he had expected at all, but in retrospect he probably should have at least been aware of that interpretation. That was what people tended to do but those were normal people and— and…and… Ok she did have more of a life than what he found typical of a scientist, b-but still? Huh? Why was he moving? Before Luke realized it, he was being carted along and bumped playfully.
A weird, half-laugh escaped from Luke as Sophie explained that there was some intrigue in being there. “Built by a single person? he echoed a little surprised looking around more carefully than he had before. He could see the center area coming up already. “The architecture is phenomenal if it was made by only one…” he admitted, his gaze flickering around still. “Or maybe just… designed by a single person…” he mumbled after the fact.
Considering of what he knew of Pokemon, Luke was drawn in by Sophie’s ideas at least. So many different water Pokemon were said to be in, and even in the tube area he’d seen quite a few, but the closer they went he was already aware there were more. The follow up question, however, had him fidgeting a little. “Actually… my best friend really likes fish— and Fish Pokemon,” he snorted softly shaking his head even as he walked. “And I ended up learning a lot about Water types from him as a result…” Ah, Orion, heh. “That and this… place resonates with me already…” he explained a bit quieter. There was a moment of hesitation but he would take that hand and continue further.
On entering the center area, Luke found his breath catching. The bubble of glass and the tank lake-water around it really brought the ecosystem together. Already he could see numerous Pokemon swimming about farther off, and for a moment a bright, innocent look flashed across his features. “Wait— Look at that,” he walked pretty quickly towards one end of the glass. “Both colors of Shellos are here…” The very pair that had caught his attention seemed to slide away from the glass right then. I wonder where the fishing room actually is… came and went from him.

“Heeheehee…” Never having expected this shy fellow to actually take her hand but rather amused that he had, with a gentle hum of giggling Sophie Sequoia squeezed her fingers between those of her fellow professor and wondered if they might look like a pair of rather mismatched lovers. The notion rather an interesting one, as they moved toward the entrance of the Aquasphere the woman basked in the cuteness of the moment, keeping an eye out to see if anyone was staring at them and rather tickled to discover the odd pair of eyes lingering on their common grasp.
If only I could bag a lil cutie like him… An odd couple perhaps given the fact that the woman in the pair stood a good half a foot taller than her ‘mate’, the pink haired professor for one didn’t mind the notion that people might have considered them to be dating, even if Luke would have likely never gone for it. Attracted to his intelligence and sweetly shy nature, had women been something that were ‘on the menu’ for Mr Indigo, the girl would certainly have gone to great lengths to fulfil the little crush she had. Though, at the same time, she wasn’t particularly disappointed that she couldn’t. Interested in his mind more than anything else, even without a full degree of intimacy, Miss Sequoia could already sense rich times ahead for their pairing.
“Fascinating…” The act of hand holding keeping her amused enough to be relatively quiet until they’d made their way inside the blue bowl, it was only when the words of her companion pointed to rather an odd occurrence could the professor focus on something else. “East meets west! One has to wonder just what sort of young that they might rear together?” The shapes of a pink and blue slug visible for only a moment before swiftly swimming away, even the brief glimpse into this locale drew wonder from the woman in this partnership. Taking a step closer to the glass and scanning across it deeply, the water seemed so crisp and clear that she could spy the outlines of several other samples in the distance, but not closely enough for her to fully recognise.
“Do you think they have a hatchery on site somewhere? One has to believe that with this many overlapping breed types having such freedom, eggs are bound to pop up as they so often do?” Eyes now scanning downward to try and see what was lurking at the bottom, the mechanics of this marine marvel still seemed to astonish even as wise a mind as this professors. “There’s so many strange interactions here, it must mean their young are born with traits unlike any other area?” With so many odd and unnatural combinations, the Aquasphere was like a global mixing bowl for aquatic entities and an imaginative and hopeful mind such as Sophie’s was hoping for some fresh form of oddity to be born here.

The giggle and hand squeeze had Luke biting the inside of his mouth, but he wouldn’t comment on it then. It was fine, he wouldn’t read into it too much. That took too much convoluted social work. There were too many other interesting things here, anyways.
Speaking of which, the Shellos were already moving, darn. He did have to wonder what their hatchlings would be, either pink or blue or maybe both? Well, probably one or the other was most likely given the nature of Pokemon, even if these were the same species of sorts just different factions. The mention of a hatchery site, however, had him looking back to Sequoia. “I’d assume as such if they allow for captures but remain stocked,” he answered. Hearing the explanation, though, had him looking back through the glass. “Probably as frequently as Breeder farms I’d imagine…” he went on.
…Though, that was a question now wasn’t it? In this sort of captivity he had to wonder if there was a staff that raised the eggs that came about or if the parents themselves did the raising. It was hard to know without asking. “Maybe we should look around and see if there are any workers …” he thought-mumbled a moment before straightening some again. “We might find the catch point as well that way…” Even if he did sort of want to stay and just watch the Water Pokemon, his interest had been piqued.

“You even get to take the one you like best home! Talk about best aquarium ever, right?” Flicking her tongue across her lips playfully as the topic of capture was brought up by her beloved Lukey, Sophie Sequoia pulled her attention back from this bowl-like lagoon and beamed her friend happily. Assistants at her lab having mentioned the fact that this was not some simple viewing pleasure but something one could participate and profit from, it was rather an exciting prospect for someone who studied adaptability to consider getting a pokemon from this radical environment. Talk of egg moves and hidden abilities exciting enough on their own, what other little acts of ecological evolution might be lurking out there in the water? A badass Magikarp was certainly the dream, but unlikely to be a reality even in a place such as this, though that didn’t stop this particular professor hoping it might be the case!
“That’s the spirit Professor! Let’s go see what we can find lurking in this lake!” The level of excitement that Miss Sequoia was feeling raising as soon as her companion mentioned taking a more thorough tour, with his hand still grasped firmly in her own the young woman moved away from this glassy wall and aimed to take her partner along for the ride. “It might be a good idea to find one of the workers regardless, apparently catching pokemon here is a little different to the wilds or Safari zone?” A small crease forming in the brow of the blue eyed beauty as she recalled the information she had managed to gather on this underwater bounty, it would seem that no amount of electric or grass types in her team would prove much good in this environment.
“Makes sense, really… Suppose the founder of this place doesn’t want his babies getting battered by overzealous trainers?” Already knowing that a conventional battle was something which was considered a faux pas in this wet realm, from what her assistants had told her things seemed to need to be a case of the target taking an equal interest in those who sought them. “Though I’m sure with winning personalities like ours, we’ll be swamped with candidates almost immediately~” Victory here a matter of patience and friendship far more so than tactics and strong moves, if one managed to win the heart of these aquatic animals, they may well walk away with a very potent ally for future adventures…

The sudden rush of excitement that burst off Professor Sequoia had Luke jumping a little. Still, as she moved, he followed after her. The question reminded him of something he’d read, and Luke nodded a little after the fact. “Apparently one’s only able to capture them by befriending them here?” he spoke-asked.
On first hearing it, it sounded sort of strange, but thinking deeper, it made empirical some sense. This was an area where Pokemon were hatched and raised probably mostly by human hands. They were probably about as docile and well trained as Starter Pokemon tended to be. It seemed Sequoia came to a similar conclusion aloud— though her assurance had him less than entirely sure. “I suppose..” He… didn’t have the most bold or interesting personality and knew it. That belonged to people like Ms. Sequoia and probably Orion or Jazz. Still, he did have quite a few Pokemon that liked him well enough (and a few assistants now too who said about the same) so, he had to be doing something right.
Coming around a corner, Luke would stop at a sign. “Ah… the catching area is down the hall,” he mentioned directing a finger up to it. “There are other observation areas down the other hallway and forward we have …” Some sort of restricted area, oh. Well then, guess not there. There was a pause before Luke decided to take a brief lead and start down the way to the catching area. For as much as he would like to see the rest of the aquarium, his own thoughts and nerves had managed to steal for a bit, so… might as well do the tough stuff first.

“Interesting…” Studying the schematic alongside her ‘date’, Sophie Sequoia scanned this structure and found that there was one note on it that really seemed to intrigue her. Restricted Access? Flicking her tongue across her lips like a hungry cat as she saw the sign indicating something off limits, there was perhaps something about inaccessible areas that seemed to bring out the inner rebel on this scholarly woman. The type that had found the greatest treasures in the spots that were tucked away, if someone went to the trouble to keep every Tom, Dick and Gary out, there was sure to be something worth investigating there. Positions having their privileges, as a pair of professors, they might well have had the level of authority needed to negotiate their way into spots that your everyday trainer might be barred from.
“I wonder if the hatchery is in there~?” Musing to both herself and her companion as she brought up her index finger to gently tap the area that had been marked as a limited locale, it was almost as if someone had painted a bullseye right on the region for a curious soul like the pink haired professor, but she decided she might like to see a little bit more of the ‘public face’ before plunging into the private one. “I suppose we better get moving then, with this much to see?” Grinning widely as she tugged on the hand of the bashful boy beside her, Sophie gave a small giggle as she moved toward what had been marked as the ‘catching area’. This large structure like an overgrown fish tank that one could pass right through the middle of, she was somewhat intrigued as to how the Aquasphere actually handled interaction between visitors and its prize specimens.
“I wonder how they handle the catching?” An open window or door hardly being a practical case in this regard, it was possible that this marvel relied on the advanced technology that Veria had managed to develop, but might even have been something even more mysterious at work. “If they’re wanting things to be done in a friendly fashion, it might be the best place to find someone who works here?” Musing as she moved along, it seemed an obvious fact that one might not be able to interact fully in this environment without a little bit of supervision. The ‘rules’ stating that martial methods were not those which were welcome here, it stood to reason that those who weren’t too keen on following laws might just disregard them without encouragement from someone nearby.
“At the very least, I’d say that someone might need to be on hand to guide newbies like we are? The ignorance of inexperience can be a dangerous thing~” Humming gently as she moved along the long stretches of window that formed the corridors in this place, it was perhaps ironic to think that despite this being an aquatic arena, the visitors were the ones kept within the ‘tanks’. Protected by some sort of perfectly clear but undoubtedly sturdy material, with possible pokemon such as Sharpedo and Wailord lurking out there, it would need to be something rather tough to deflect those levels of ocean power whether they were by design or accident. However, before she could get too deeply into the specifics of their submarine travel, something caught her eye.
“Oh Luke, look!” Something beyond this glassy surface seeming to wave and dance as if they were a feather in mid-air, the cyan coloured and translucent form of a jelly-like pokemon swayed and swirled nearby. “Usually you only see Frillish poking themselves out of the water, but they look so much more majestic like this?” The blue body of this graceful sea dweller seeming to treat movement like it was some kind of cherished gift, as it swam with such beauty and refinement, the pink haired professor couldn’t help but pause and enjoy this performance that the Aquasphere was giving them…

Luke stopped mid-step as Sequoia went on talking about the map. Looking back to it, he drew briefly thoughtful. “Or some type of machine room…” he surmised. A huge place like this probably had a lot of turbines keeping the water flowing and everything moving for the very same Water Pokemon it housed. The suggestion to get moving again had him nodding once more starting towards the catching area.
Wandering through yet another tube area, Luke found his gaze shifting about, his single eye taking in the shadows of the Water Pokemon around. The suggestion to find someone who worked there was a decent idea, but surely, they had to have something more intuitive. As his name was spoken, Luke’s attention was shifted, and he found himself staring at the glass again. The ghostly fish had him staring back, and a hand slowly reached up to set itself on the glass before the ghost moved away. “Almost… sort of haunting it a way…” he admitted softly considering the dance. He’d never gotten so close to a Frillish before, but the way their eyes stared was so… so? Something.
Luke lost train of thought, he realized after the fact. A small shake of head was given as he tried to recapture whatever it was he had been about to say. Before this could happen, however, something else caught his attention. “Wait is that a—“ he shifted a little and squinted, but sure enough a Tirtouga came swimming around slow paced but with a warm lazy smile. “That’s a fossil Pokemon?!?” Luke stammered briefly. “That’s— yeah Tirtogua … I didn’t realize they even had revived Pokemon here!” Luke spoke fast looking back to Sophie with a grin. “ They can’t even be found in the wild usually.”
Whipping back to lean forward pressing his gaze to the glass, Luke watched the turtle go by as slow as eve— Hmmm?? It had noticed him? The Tirtouga was not blind to the sights of humans, but this one was quite … interesting? Look at that hair and eye-patch. Radical dude! Switching gears and starting to swim over, the Tirtouga leaned in against the glass as well. Hmmm~ the pink haired human was somewhat interesting as well if only for her height. Bet she rode some surfing waves rite? Right.
Luke, meanwhile, went tripping back a couple steps on finding the Tirtouga coming at him— only for it to stop at the glass. Right, right that was a thing. “W-….” Slowly stepping forward again, Luke leaned in to find the Tirtogua still staring at him. “Huh…” Rather suddenly the Tirtouga made a head gesture ‘up’ and started swimming that direction. Luke blinked slowly looking back around to find the end of the tunnel area did, in fact, seem to lead towards a set of stairs.
Caught up in the moment, Luke tugged Sophie along this time towards the stairs. “Maybe there’s an outdoor part—“ he spoke fast already climbing said stairs. On actually coming to the top deck, he would find the top of the pool with a worker on the far end doing some cleaning with a net. The Tirtogua, however, was also surfaced and smiling a bit. “Ah, that’s how… you can interact with them..” If the Water Pokemon wanted that was, anyways.
Luke hesitated for a moment before releasing Sophie’s hand if he hadn’t already and starting towards the Tirtouga. It waited for him, and as he crouched down in front of him, the Tirtouga extended a fin. The corners of Luke’s mouth pulled some, and he set a hand on the fin briefly.

“How astounding!” Eyes of the young professor growing wide as she saw an ancient amphibious reptile surf past the glass in front of her, despite the fluid grace of the Frillish, this was a spectacle that even Sophie Sequoia could not ignore. A creature that the wilds had long forgotten about swimming past so casually, the mouth of the pink haired lass slowly spread with a smile as she watched this ancient creature show every bit of splendour it would have shone with a great many thousand years ago.
“This is like… Taking a trip back in time!” Fossilized pokemon not something that was new experience for a professor but this definitely something of an exhibition, before Miss Sequoia something unfolded that was no mere clone in a lab or controlled environment but rather an ancient form of nature in action. As if someone had taken a slice of the past and dropped it in front of her like a piece of pie, the image of this coolly coursing creature filled her imagination like a rich and creamy dessert and only left her hungry for more.
“Tirtouga, you know I’ve often wondered if the Squirtle line had-“ Tapping her chin as she thought about the little blue shell dweller that she was carrying right now, it seemed an amusing idea to compare the modern example of a turtle with this ancient one, but her chain of thought was distracted as the friendly figure to her side seemed to trip backward. “Hahahaha, I think you’ve made a friend, Professor Indigo!” Grinning and giggling at the curiosity of the critter with the carapace and how it had startled her friend, Sophie hummed gently as she observed the creature try and get closer to her date, perhaps a little bit jealous of the shine it had taken to him. Quietly observing as this courtship between human and pokemon continued, all too late the woman realized that she should have gotten her camera out and recorded the occasion and snapped her finger in frustration. However, it seemed that the show would still be going on.
“W-Whoa!” Suddenly finding herself now being the one who was pulled and stumbling for a second before following Luke, her peer in professorship seemed excited like Miss Sequoia had never seen him before, and she skipped happily after him toward the stairs. Loosening her grip and letting him run ahead as she moved her hand to fire up the pink phone strapped to her wrist, with a few flicks of that holographic interface she had started up her camera and then danced up those stairs hot on the heels of the usually timid Mr Indigo.
“Heeheehee… You join me just as Professor Indigo is about to give a demonstration on friendship and recruitment in the Aquasphere~!” A few feet behind her friend and filming every moment as the man dropped down to meet the ancient pokemon whose eye he had caught, with a smirk the pink haired professor acted as narrator for this sweet little meeting, trying to stifle her amusement as she observed this encounter curiously. "Let's see how they handle this budding friendship, shall we?" Fascinated by both the bearing of the Tirtouga and the behaviour of her bashful buddy, this was sure to be a recording that the girl studied carefully in future, and might even be something she had a mind to publish online…

Luke was barely aware of Sophie’s background narration now as his attention zeroed in on the Tritouga that had surfaced. A yellow eye bounced over the Tirtouga’s form, drawing in the blues and blacks of its skin and scales. Ancient armor was required to withstand a less civilized world.. Where had he heard that? Or read that? Possibly something off the Armor and Defense Professor from the sounds of it. It is impressive…
The Tirtouga, meanwhile, was staring back at the eyepatch kid (kid?) with a look of lazy intrigue. What was under that eyepatch? Another eyepatch? Raising a fin, the Tirtouga had initially tried to tap Luke’s face but got misinterpreted. The hand on his fin was nice enough, though. Ya know though for some reason this kid looked vaguely older up close, huh. Maybe he should lean in and take a bite?
Unexpectedly the Tirtouga leaned forward nipping briefly at Luke’s nose. A sharp noise escaped from the young Professor as he jerked back startled a hand reaching to his face. Mwa… he had gotten too close, probably. That was his fault. “S-sorry…” Luke mumbled briefly shifting to give the Tirtouga some more space. The Tirtouga, meanwhile, had decided the human tasted older than what he would have expected and surmised he was just small then. Hm? Was that an apology though? For what? The Tirtouga turned his head to one side to the other curiously.
A little warier this time for obvious reasons but also aware the Tirtouga didn’t seem otherwise aggressive, Luke sat down in front of the Tirtouga just occasionally patting his fins. The Tirtouga meanwhile seemed pretty happy with that gentle touch. What a relaxed human he seemed to be? Not like those loud kids that sometimes came in here but just … chill enough? Looking very briefly up towards the pink woman again, he found her … taking an extended photo or something?
The Tirtouga’s small motion had Luke glancing back towards Sophie, an eyebrow raising some. “Hey what are you-“ he guessed taking a picture or trying to but? Er…uh…. Shifting forward again and hoping the camera didn’t catch his face for too long, he mumbled weakly rubbing the back of his neck. The Tirtouga raised a fin and slapped his knee causing Luke to both fidget and laugh at the same time. Ow that hurt but— somehow also got a chuckle out of him ow.
“Y-you’re…. pretty fascinating… a very ancient creature…” Luke mumbled softly after a moment patting the Tirtouga again. “I’m actually… studying berries and other things but have a lot of interests as a professor…” The Tirtouga looked at him with a small amount of interest. Berries? Like food? Sniffing around, he tried to find the source of them and ended up bumping Luke’s pocket a couple of times. A small ‘gah’ sound escaped from Luke, but he was quick to understand what was up and fish out a berry in question. The Tirtouga ate it happily. Luke hesitated but began to feed him more.

“Oh my goodness~!” Camera still rolling and catching the moment as her friend has his nose nipped by the playful pokemon of ages past, like a swooning parent Sophie Sequoia brought a hand up to her cheek and giggled to herself at this adorable little meeting. The berry expert apologizing despite being the victim of that cheeky little act, the woman with pink hair had to pull her free hand around to restrain her giggling as she took a step or two closer and leaned forward, clearly quite the smitten kitten with regard to this little scenario.
“They shy Lukey isn’t deterred by his partners roughness, but does show more caution as he approaches a second time…” Speaking in a hushed tone so as not to distract her date as he tried a second attempt to get closer to the plucky Tirtouga, for a second Sophie worried she might have distracted them as the man turned with a messy haired flick, but was relieved to see him quickly returning to his task. Camera still rolling and recording every moment, after a bit of a guffaw as her buddy was slapped with a flipper, the impromptu narrator moved even closer to catch a look at what this terrific turtle was so interested in that sat inside the pocket of her companion.
“Oho… They say the fastest way to a man’s heart is through the stomach… It seems pokemon also subscribe to such a theory!” Luke proving relatively quick on the uptake and pulling out a small and sweet orb, with another giggle the documenter tapped her lips thoughtfully, wondering just how long ago was the last time that an ancient pokemon species like this had the chance to ‘play’ with a person. Modern views on these magical monsters seeming to think that even the ancient types had been born after the dawn of man, would the crude humans that roamed the earth had treated an oceangoing beast such as this with kindness or cruelty? If Sophie had to place a wager on such subject, she’d definitely have assumed the latter…
