The summer celebration had been a lot of fun but Elayne wasn't quite ready for it to be over quite yet. Spending the day with Felis had been amazing, even getting lost in the maze for hours on end. It had taken a lot longer for them to get out than Elayne had initially thought but even with running into dead ends almost constantly, it had been a lot of fun. Then there were the games, the food, and a lot of other fun things.
They had caught up to Haiiro shortly after Felis and she had finally found their way out of the maze. It turned out that Haiiro had met up with his brother while they were gone which surprised Elayne initially, especially after hearing the good news they had brought. Before Elayne had realized it, they had walked a fair distance away from the fairgrounds and in a calm field. Well, there were quite a lot of flowers blooming around them, maybe they could relax for a little bit here.
"It sure is pretty here, maybe we can stop and make some flower crowns? It'd be fun~,"Elayne mused quietly, already bending down to pick a few of the flowers, "Wasn't there supposed to be a few odd Pokemon around here too? It might be interesting to see if we can catch some of them," she continued, smiling brightly at Haii as she spoke.

Felis was delighted, really. Even if not everything had gone off without a hitch, the Summer Celebration was wonderful. The air was just warm enough to keep from freezing and just cool enough to keep from sweating. The booths and stalls had been exciting to wander in and around, and the contest had been… well nice enough yes~ Now spending some time with Elayne and Haiiro, he couldn’t help but chuckle at the proposition put forward. “Oh~ It’s been so long since I’ve made one or two or a dozen~” Stopping in his gait, he’d bend down to start pulling a couple of flowers up as well.
Haiiro, meanwhile, found his gaze more upward than downward than downward. The Celebration had been a mix of joy and vague stress, but even he was feeling pretty good. Getting to see Shiro again and swapping stories had put him in a nostalgic sort of mood, and vaguely, he wondered what his grandmother was doing in the Orre right about then. He’d messaged her, but knowing how her technology happened to be ….
Heh. As Elayne and Felis stopped, however, he’d lower his gaze again watching the two pick at flowers. A small quirk of lips came and went from him before he slowly shifted to sit down amongst the flowers. If it was one thing he could always appreciate, it was the nature of lush areas.

As Felis took her up on the suggestion to make flower crowns, Elayne couldn't help but laugh. Yes, it was a beautiful day and spending it with her boyfriends just made it even better. It didn't take long for Elayne to finish her a few flower crowns and set it on Haii's head, kissing his cheek as she did so. "It suits you~,"Elayne mused before setting the second one on Felis' head. She had been about to say something when a loud barking got her attention. It seemed that a Growlithe was kicking around what looked like a Spheal? Oh...oh dear, that wasn't good.
"Haii, look,"Elayne whispered, gesturing towards the Growlithe that was biting and pushing the Spheal along. Oddly enough, the Spheal seemed to be sleeping this entire time? That...well, they should still help the poor thing out. Pulling out a pokeball, Elayne released a Turtwig who looked rather happy to be out in the beautiful meadow. "Dennis, can you help that Spheal out?"Elayne asked, gesturing towards the Growlithe who seemed intent on playing with his 'ball'.
Dennis saw the Growlithe 'playing' with the Spheal and ran towards him, using a Razor Leaf to try to scare the Growlithe away. Unfortunately the leaves hit the Spheal as well. It seemed the Spheal was Resting still and even used Snore which made Dennis flinch. Owww, he was just trying to help! What was that for. The Turtwig looked like he was about to cry, when Elayne stepped in, petting the Turtwig soothingly, "Shh, you're fine, Dennis,"she encouraged, picking up the Spheal so she was out of harm's way.

Soft warmth touched Haiiro’s cheeks as Elayne set a flower crown on his head. A small, half breath escaped from him before he managed a small, shy smile and a head nod. Felis chuckled watching, bowing his head as Elayne set a crown on his head as well. The sound of the Growlithe had pulled Haiiro’s attention away as well. Watching as the pup rolled around the resting ball, Haiiro slowly deadpanned. That… He wouldn’t call it ‘bad’ necessarily but… Uhm. Hm, they should actually probably wake the Spheal.
Felis, meanwhile, had taken in some shallow breaths and managed to keep calm on seeing the Growlithe. Had it been in an Arcanine, he might not have been so calm but… He could handle this, yes. Watching as the Spheal was hit, however, he frowned a little. “Might want to tell him to be a little more careful,” he mused.
Haiiro, meanwhile, shifted to fish out two Pokeballs. A pair of Ralts, one normal colored the other Shiny, burst forth and looked at one another and then back towards Haiiro. Haiiro gave a small nod and a gesture towards the Growlithe. O-oh? Oh huh… The first Ralts, Sophie, began to summon up a Hypnosis and launched it towards the dog Pokemon. Immediately the Growlithe fell asleep, and as Elayne approached, the Spheal was easily taken away. Sophie smiled a little looking back to Tris who smiled back. Well, that had been easy enough, right?
Haiiro chewed the inside of his mouth and moved to stand. Passing Tris and Sophie, he gave each a head pat before walking over to the sleeping Growlithe. He probably should at least more the dog or something? Hm, actually… It might be useful? As Haiiro felt Felis’s eyes on him, however, he thought better of it and instead slowly moved to lift the Growlithe and carry the pup off a ways so as to hopefully not be disturbed by him again.

Once the Growlithe was taken care of, Elayne breathed a sigh of relief. The Growlithe probably didn't mean any harm but...well, the Spheal couldn't have enjoyed getting kicked around. It seemed as soon as the Growlithe was taken away, the Spheal woke up, yawning before squirming in Elayne's arms, "Shh, you're ok, sweetie,"she said quietly, soothingly. The Spheal seemed to calm down once she saw the Growlithe being taken away. O-oh...that was good, that meant she didn't have to worry anymore.
Walking back over to Felis, Elayne continued to talk to the Spheal who seemed to enjoy being babied. It seemed the further away they got from the Growlithe, the quicker the Spheal relaxed. "It seems that this little girl is like you, Felis,"Elayne commented, rubbing the Spheal's belly as she spoke, "Maybe we should take her with us, hmm? Would you like that?" she continued, smiling as the little Spheal cooed in curiosity.
Elayne chuckled softly at the Spheal's curious look and picked up one of the flower crowns she'd made earlier and placed it on the Spheal. "You like that? Felis has a garden filled with more flowers, some even taller than you~. What do you say?"Elayne asked gently, watching as the Spheal's eyes lit up. Yes, that did sound great, flowers were so pretty! A happy chirp would be given as a yes, eliciting a warm smile from Elayne as she pressed the pokeball to the Spheal, watching it disappear in a beam of red light. Well, then~ it seemed that was another one to add to the team.

A soft resounding chuckle escaped from Felis as Elayne spoke. “I think it prefers you,” he mused just as softly watching as she babied the Pokemon. As she effectively caught it, he reached back lazily into a stretch. “I wonder what other Pokemon are out here~?” he hummed eyeing the area slowly. While he had no real intent to catch anything at least right then, he did have an interest in the natural surroundings. A blue eye, however, caught something strange moving through the trees not far off. “Elayne, Elayne look~!” Felis whispered making a directional point towards the Treecko. “You don’t see one of those every day.”
Haiiro, meanwhile, had walked a little farther than anticipated when he’d initially started to move the Growlithe. A little worried about him, his Ralts had followed seamlessly. Setting the Growlithe down under a tree, Haiiro straightened and turned only to find them there. Blue eyes blinked biefly befre a small smile came to Haiiro’s features. No words were spoken, but he closed the distance between the two of them and reached out to pick them both up. Though memories and emotions very briefly resounded in him, Haiiro kept calm, mumbling softly as he started back.
That was… at least, until he felt a pair of eyes on him. Dark blue eyes flashed sideways to meet the bright ones of a Pyroar. It was staring, ferocious and ready, but had yet to move from its spot. A male… He could tell from the fiery crown that the Pyroar wore. Unlike Luxray that were harder to differentiate, Pyroar were very obvious in gender. Blue eyes flickered around, but when he found no females or even cubs with it, Haiiro made some assumptions. “Sai- Isa-“ Haiiro stopped short. The Ralts in his arms looked at him confused. Gulping, Haiiro fell into silence, setting them down and making a directional point at the Pyroar. The Ralts pair understood but… could not fathom what had silenced their trainer in such a way.
With two challengers there, the Pyroar lunged Working himself Up in the process. Sofie, meanwhile started to form a Hypnosis in an effort to lull him. Unexpectedly, however, the Pyroar then went running at her, knocking her back with a forceful blow. She cried, collapsing on the ground. Startled, Tris released a Psychic, blasting the Pyroar from behind. Haiiro’s teeth grit in silence as he struggled for words, for orders, for anything. This was an evolved Pokemon, and these were young Pokemon. He should probably release Shadow but—
A glow, a warm light, flickered in Haiiro’s eyes before he saw it. Rising up, Sofie began to grow bright before taking on a new form. The Kirlia now standing there twirled before releasing a Dazzling Gleam in fierce rebuttle of the Pyroar. The lion Pokemon hissed in pain and leaped forward to Crunch the Kirlia. Teleporting out of the way, she spun around avoiding and distracting the Pyroar. Tris, meanwhile, was whipping up a fierce Psychic and launching it at the Pyroar again. Hit from behind once more, the Pyroar roared in anger and whipped around towards the Ralts. The Kirlia, however, used this opportunity to throw out a Heal Pulse right as the Pyroar Crunched into the smaller Psychic. Strengthened just in time, the Ralts released a Psychic and finished the job.
Haiiro stared through it all before slowly smirking a bit. They… they truly were something. Fishing out a Pokeball, he tossed it at the Pyroar.

Elayne smiled, giggling softly when she heard Felis' reply and kissed his cheek. The Spheal was cute certainly, but if there were other Pokemon out here, that would be nice. Hopefully there wouldn't be other fire Pokemon though... at least not while she was with Felis. The Growlithe had been cute and reminiscent of the ones Elayne had to leave behind but... if it scared Felis, she wasn't going to catch it today at least. When Felis got her attention and pointed out a Treecko, Elayne's eyes grew wide as she grinned, "No, certainly not," she murmured, releasing her Scatterbug not far away from where the Treecko was.
Papillion stretched and yawned, not quite sure what he was doing out but hey, it was nice and warm. Maybe a nap would be nice, yes. Oh, was that a Treecko? She didn't seem to notice him yet, maybe he should say hello! He had been about to do just that when Elayne stopped him, "Papillion, wait. We're going to battle Treecko, alright? Start with String Shot and Stun Spore," Elayne called out. She knew that Treecko were fast and would certainly evade them if left alone. It was best to negate that as quickly as possible. Papillion on the other hand looked a little uncertain. Treecko hadn't done anything to them, why did they want to hurt it? W-well... it was alright, right? It would be ok.
Creeping up on the Treecko, Papillion used String Shot, ensnaring the Treecko in his sticky webbing. The Treecko was caught off guard and cried out in alarm, already fighting the webbing to get free. Before the Treecko could do so however, Papillion used Stun Spore, paralyzing the Treecko instead. Under the effects of paralysis, the Treecko couldn't move very well, much less break free of her bonds. Perfect. This would make it easier to get closer to the Treecko now. "Use Bug Bite!"Elayne called out, already smiling when it seemed her plan was going to work.
Papillion approached the Treecko quickly and used Bug Bite, eliciting a pained cry from the Treecko. The Treecko wasn't going to just take the bite with no retaliation however and managed to Slam the Scatterbug into the ground. Papillion cried out in pain at that but used another Bug Bite on instinct. The Treecko fainted while still on top of him unfortunately, trapping Papillion under him in the process. Elayne was amused seeing her Scatterbug flail under the Treecko but tossed a pokeball at it, pulling the Treecko into the ball in a beam of red light.
Upon being released, Papillion crawled over to Elayne, letting out a happy coo as he was picked up. "Good job little one~," Elayne praised him, letting the Scatterbug crawl on her shoulders for now. Looking back over at Felis, Elayne smiled and gestured in the direction Haiiro had gone, "Shall we catch up with Haii or look around a bit more?" she asked, taking Felis' hand as she spoke, "If there's a Treecko out here, there's bound to be some more cool Pokemon. What do you think we'll find next?"

Felis watched the battle, vaguely amused by it all. As it finished up, however, he shrugged his shoulders a bit. “I think Haii is coming back this way,” he mentioned thumbing over as the aforementioned closed distance between them. Stretching, however, he did stand up and find himself looking around. “It is rather beautiful out here though… too bad we can’t just stay here~” Of course, winter would soon change his mind on that, but in this time span this was not the case.
Haiiro, meanwhile, looked a little glum coming back. He’d returned his Pokemon but seemed quieter, a little more uncertain. Even Felis noticed it, but as their eyes met, he knew Haiiro wouldn’t be able to answer. One of those quiet sentiments, yeah? A small shake of head was given as Felis tried to chin up. “How about we— oh! Look!” His hand moved around as a Flabebe came twirling through with a flower in her hand. How cute~! Haiiro raised his eyebrow but said nothing immediately as he finally closed the distance between them. Along a tree line, an Oricorio landed but wouldn’t approach immediately and instead just watched carefully.

At Felis' response, Elayne smiled and nodded at his words. Sure enough, she could see Haiiro coming back though the way he looked worried her a little. Felis' words distracted her again briefly, eliciting a soft giggle in response. That was just silly, but it was a nice thought in the meantime. As soon as Haiiro returned, Elayne smiled at him before Felis pointed out the Flabebe. Awww, it was adorable. She hadn't seen anything like that before.
"Awww, aren't you a cute little princess~,"Elayne mused, giggling a little as the Flabebe blushed. The Flabebe twirled closer to Elayne, eventually landing in her hand. That was unexpected, but Elayne was endeared by the cute little Pokemon. It seemed to have taken a shine to her. Papillion meanwhile started to glow, startling the Flabebe briefly when the Scatterbug evolved into a Spewpa. Seeing the change, the Flabeb cheered, waving at Papillion who seemed to blush in turn. "How would you two like to battle?" Elayne asked softly, smiling and reaching up a hand to pet the Spewpa.
The Flabebe looked a bit uncertain at that but nodded after a moment. She would do her best, yes! Papillion on the other hand, shook his head adamantly. No! Nope! Well... ok, maybe he deserved a rest after that. Giving the Flabebe an apologetic smile, Elayne returned the Spewpa and shifted to pull out another pokeball, revealing an Oddish that hopped up and down happily. "Sorry about that, how about you battle Glenna instead?" Elayne asked, smiling when the Oddish cheered, bouncing up and down again. Yes! A battle would be fun! Again, the Flabebe nodded, yes, this could be fun.
Elayne watched as the Flabebe floated off her hand and settled onto the field a few paces from Glenna. Well, perhaps they could gain the upper hand quickly enough. "Stun Spore, then Acid,"Elayne directed calmly, watching as Glenna released the spores into the air without hesitation. Yes, she was a much easier Pokemon to battle with than Papillion. His passive nature was sweet, but it was a struggle to get him to cooperate unless it was under special circumstances. The Stun Spore did its job, paralyzing the Flabebe before she could react and was effectively hit with Acid.
Struggling against the paralysis, the Flabebe tried to do something, anything and did in fact manage to use Aromatherapy, releasing her from the paralysis. A sigh escaped the Flabebe before she used Misty Terrain. There, that solved that problem! Unfortunately for the Flabebe, she would get hit with yet another Acid during this. A pained cry escaped the Flabebe before she used Moonblast. Unable to avoid in time, Glenna got hit with the move and winced a little but wasn't about to go down, not yet. Using a Giga Drain, Glenna breathed easier when she was healed but the Flabebe was clearly struggling after the attack.
Seizing her chance, Elayne threw a pokeball at the Flabebe before picking up Glenna and smiling at Haiiro and Felis. She couldn't wait to see what other adorable pokemon were here! Glenna was clearly delighted with how the battle went and cooed happily in Elayne's arms. "Hey Haii, look," Elayne gestured, pointing to the Oricorio, "That's an Oricorio, and I think he's watching you~." Or at least, it certainly looked that way.

A small chuckle had resounded from Felis as he watched Elayne bond with and challenge the Flabebe. It seemed like such a fitting Pokemon for her, didn’t it? Looking back at Haiiro, he offered a soft smile. As the Flabebe was defeated and captured, Felis clapped his hands together softly. Wonderful~ That would make such a good edition to the ranch. Haiiro, meanwhile, had been pretty sure that it would go without a hitch. Elayne was a decent battler even if their battles had been a bit different back in Era.
As Elayne spoke, however, Haiiro’s eyes flickered over to the trees where the Oricorio stood. Felis glanced that way as well and chuckled softly. “Think perhaps it was watching you, Elayne,” he answered back lightly only for Haiiro to nod in concurrence. “Maybe you should catch that one as well?” Felis chuckled. Haiiro wasn’t about to convince Elayne to but didn’t particularly want the songbird either. It was nice and dark in coloring, but its aesthetic wasn’t quite his own.
