Mission name: Taking a Drive - Team A Participants: Thomas Benoit Josh DragomirCatching?: No Spawning: 4 NPCS, split up into 2 encounters, 2 Pokemon per NPC, 6 moves each, no limits. Boss will have 2 Pokemon each, all 10 moves, no limits. Mission details: After having found the coordinates to the base of the group of scientists responsible for reviving and augmenting a Genesect, Interpol launches a raid on the outpost, headed up by four of their agents. Splitting into two groups, the agents attack separate parts of the base, the objective being to retrieve the Four Drives from the group of scientists, and if possible, the Genesect. Reward: Douse Drive, Chill Drive, Burn Drive, and Shock Drive for Interpol Use 1 Mega Stone OR Z-Crystal of choice for Josh The time had finally come. Seven years of painstaking training, preparation, and hunting had finally lead up to this moment. The ride to the base on the transport was one that Thomas treated with unnerving silence. Thomas would silently be sitting in the back, slowly examining the six Pokeballs he had brought with him, while checking to make sure his Pokeball Launcher was in prime form. Once satisfied with the state of his equipment, as well as the arrangement of which his Pokeballs were placed, Thomas would silently wait for the ride to end. Once their transport had reached its destination, and the duo of Thomas and Josh were let off to initiate their attack, Thomas would silently walk out of the vehicle. Rather than anywhere that immediately made the facility visible, the duo was dropped off at the base of an uphill path. "Through here.", Thomas would finally utter to Josh, the first words the Kalosian had said all day. The path that they had taken would lead the duo to a vantage point overlooking the facility. From there, Thomas would take out a set of binoculars, and start studying the area, observing guard patrols, potential areas to get in from, and most importantly, targets for his Decidueye to hit. "As you know, while the boss and Dasha are gonna be sneaking into the compound, we're gonna make some noise...", Thomas told Josh in a low voice. As he finished his statement, Josh would notice Thomas' normally stoic expression has turned into one of bloodlust. It would explain why Thomas elected to take aggro during the mission, as opposed to utilizing his skills in infiltration with either Kai or Dasha.

This was it, then. His first major mission. He had been working with Interpol for some time now, and had certainly proven his capability. But a major mission like this - of this caliber - had not cropped up since he had signed up for Interpol. Now was the time. With whatever in the world this compound was holding... Something needed to be done, and fast. They needed to arrest whoever was here, and seize whatever they were working on before things got nasty. Granted, it was guaranteed to get nasty, but they could contain the nastiness. That was why they were here, right? They were the aggros for a reason. Kai and Dasha were in infiltration. Josh and Thomas? Well, they were heavy hitters today. Josh had organized a team specifically for this particular mission. He just hoped that they would suffice... Who knows what would await them inside. The two had not spoken whatsoever since the drive to their destination had begun. Thomas was... Well, Josh had always known him to be cold. But never this cold, he noted. On mission... He was ice cold, more than ever before. The two would exit the vehicle and make their way to a vantage point, with Lightning playing lookout while the two would get a good overview of what awaited them. He would nod his head toward Thomas' briefing, and a small smirk would cross his lips. He seemed quite eager for, and very much looking forward to what he had been tasked to do... "Yes... Some noise."

Though Thomas didn't turn to speak to Josh, he did pay attention to his response. The trainer would continue to tag guards from his vantage point, tracking their patrol patterns and looking out for openings. Finally, once he was satisfied with having tagged his opponents, Thomas put down the binoculars, and turned to his partner.
"I'm gonna have Deadshot on sniper support, as well as deployment. He will be deploying Nordom, and as Nordom rampages, we can zipline down to their level. I know you brought a Decidueye of your own, so I have to ask, will it be deploying any of your own, or will it just be acting as a sniper?", Thomas would brief the blonde, before ending it with the question.
As for the zipline in question, Thomas was carrying it on his back, contained in a black cloth bag. With their back to a sturdy tree, and being in range of one of the walls, they would be able to launch a line downward while his Metagross caused some chaos down below.
"Got any questions, or anything to add?", Thomas would ask Josh, before producing a Pokeball from his coat.

Once he was done playing a game of "Tagger" with the guards, Josh would listen as Thomas continued his briefing. He was admittedly still quite surprised, and even a bit amused at his capacity to form a plan so quickly, despite his age. Or perhaps had he stayed up all night scouting and building this plan? He just imagined Thomas sitting in his room with some cardboard and some crayons, drawing diagrams and illustrating them by drawing stick figures. He could imagine him being like "And den I will shoot him with my big borb and then he go boom1" before drawing large X's on the eyes of the stick figures that represented the guards. The mental image forced him to use every inch of restraint he had to keep from snorting and snickering at the thought. "Hold up. Let me stop you there a minute" He remarked a short ways in. "Until I get used to the nicknames of your Pokemon, do you mind clarifying their species names when they're not in their balls? If I said "Ozzy" you wouldn't know what the hell I was talking about. As far as I know, I could be sending a Wobbuffet down to the field for offense... And we both know how that would turn out, so it'd be good to have some advance warning so we can stop each other from doing something stupid like that" He would request. The last part was in humour, of course, but there was still a point to be made. Planning was difficult as it was, if they didn't know which Pokemon each were referring to." He would motion for Thomas to continue, and he would nod his head along with his plan. He would ask about his own Decidueye, and he nodded his head. " I intend to have Ozzy, my Decidueye, on sniper duty, yes. I saw the memo in the email you sent me about you bringing your Decidueye. I thought it would benefit for Ozzy to assist."He would tilt his head though when he brought up deployment. "Deployment?"
He was not familiar with Thomas' little launching glove or his tactic. Thomas had forgotten that the two had not been on a proper mission together just yet. Either way, at his last question, he would nod his head. "I was thinking" He began as he took a Pokeball from his belt. "Why don't we each enter in alternate fashion? I'm going to assume whatever rampaging Pokemon you are sending will be sent into the battlefield ahead, and you'll be ziplining in. I have my Charizard here, why don't I, instead of ziplining, attack from the air head on and get their attention? I'll attack first on the back of Fawkes, my Charizard, and I can send out your rampaging Pokemon while I'm doing that, unless by your "deployment" you have a ways of firing that Pokeball long-range.
While myself and your Pokemon are on the attack, you can zipline in" He would suggest. "I hope you don't mind, I decided to take a look at your file and get a peek at some of your records and mission history before this mission, since I knew we'd be partnered up. I wanted to get a good idea of what you're best at, so I could work with that. I know you're more suited to stealth, and while I was a bit confused as to why an infiltrator was sent on aggro for this while another team stealths, I think I've thought of a way to make the most of it.
So again, while myself and your Pokemon attack head on, this gives you a chance to hang back a moment, make sure the Decidueye are ready, and then zipline in and take them by surprise. I'm aware that the goal of our operation is to make as much noise as possible, divert their attention, and kick the doors down but the fact is... We are two guys. Two well-trained guys, yes. But we are at a numbers disadvantage. And we need every advantage that we can get. If you think you can slide down without being seen and start your side of the attack with a surprise attack, our advantage grows and we can save our strength a bit in the earlygoing.
Because I have a feeling that this is going to be more of a marathon than a sprint."Josh did try hard not to talk too much in the office, after the whole Sam deal. But right now, if there was a time to speak at length, it was now while they were planning. There was a time to talk in detail and that time was now. "To put it simply... I think it might benefit us to begin our attack each in intervals in order to catch them by surprise not once, not twice, but three times in a row between us and your rampager. If we are going to be outnumbered, we want to split their attention three ways and cause chaos and discord amongst them before we put our efforts together.
We want to give them hell in every way that we can."I'LL DO WHATEVER IT TAKES TO PROTECT IT

As Thomas rattled off his plan, the details he listed, such as names, hinged on the fact that his partner had received a file he sent detailing his team. But as Josh stopped him, he realized that the blonde didn't receive them. Thomas couldn't help but chuckle at the bit about the Wobbuffet.
"Right, I suppose I got ahead of myself. I did try to send you a file giving you better details on my team, but it seems that you didn't receive it.", he would reply, referring to an issue with the emails they had been recently dealing with, where timing to receive them was hit and miss.
"I should say, my Decidueye will first be sending in my Metagross.", he would clarify to the blonde.
But before he could explain what he meant by 'deployment', Josh chimed in with a plan of his own. He could fly in on his Charizard, taking aggro in the process, while offering to throw down his Pokeballs for him. "My Decidueye has special arrowheads that can attach to Pokeballs. It will be firing down my Metagross in a strategic position, then providing it with sniper support. In between this, my Decidueye will be bringing down my Aegislash, in order to add onto the assault, and try to keep them off balance.", he would clarify to Josh.
"Other than that, I like the idea of you flying in on your Charizard, and taking aggro.", he would finish.
At this point, Thomas would release a shiny Decidueye from its Pokeball, the ghostly owl greeting the two Interpol agents. "Deadshot, you know what must be done.", Thomas said, handing him the Pokeball for Nordom the Metagross, while pointing him to the area he wanted him to fire upon. "Let me know when you're ready for Deadshot here to open fire.", Thomas would tell Josh. Meanwhile, the Shiny Decidueye would attach the special arrowhead-like leaf to the end of the Pokeball that Thomas handed him.
Once Josh was ready for him to begin the assault, the Decidueye would pull back the 'string' on the arrowhead, while getting into his firing stance. Once his aim was lined up, Deadshot would launch the Pokeball into the the area specified by Thomas.
And once it had landed, Nordom the Metagross would come out roaring, slamming its legs into the ground in order to generate a more 'localized' Earthquake, one intended to knock nearby guards off balance, while moving through to rampage through any potential opposition.
As Nordom rampaged, Thomas would quickly take the line launcher out of the bag, and perform what little assembly was needed in order to get it ready for the job. In the meantime, Josh and Fawkes had the floor.

It seemed that Thomas had sent an email detailing his team prior to the mission. One that Josh had not received. Hopefully, he thought, he would have it in time this go around. "I'll make sure it's been sent the next time. I'll be sure to send you an email with my own team next time as well" He would remark, nodding his head in turn. Odds are, this wouldn't be their last mission together as a unit. They needed to be ready to knock heads like this at anytime. And knock heads they seemed both capable of doing. Thomas would go on to explain what his "deployment" was, which involved his Pokemon being independent enough to fire the Pokeballs of their comrades to the needed locations. Interesting idea indeed, one that Josh would have to consider perhaps learning and practicing with his Pokemon for future missions. The least he could do during opportunities like this, was use them to learn every trick he could to do his absolute best at this job. Especially in a job like this where lives were at stake... If he could pick up some little tricks, all the better. Sure, it was nice that it made him more skilled as a Trainer, the more he learned... But right now, his job was on the mind, not personal gain. He seemed to like his plan at least. Divide, surprise on the constant and conquer the numbers game. With the plan agreed on, he would nod his head and release both Ozzy (Decidueye) and Fawkes (Charizard) from their Pokeballs. The Charizard was notable in that instead of the usual, common height, it was a gargantuan, 8'0 beast. It was a testament to the care that he'd given this beast. As for the Decidueyes, it would be easy to tell them apart by their coloring. Josh would then mount Fawkes, and Lightning would climb on as well. "Ozzy, I want you on sniper duty. Whatever your fellow bird is shooting at, make sure that if the opponent does not go down... You ensure they don't get a chance to fire back. If they do not go down the first time, the second time must shoot them down. Start shooting as soon as it does. Those are your orders."As Fawkes would begin to fly up, Josh would look down toward Thomas. "Give it about a minute after I've begun my assault, for them to draw their attention toward me. We want them to keep having to draw their attention to something new over and over again, and overwhelm them. Good timing will simulate more numbers in their mind than we actually have, and the initial surprise will leave them open as a bonus. overall... That'll overwhelm them and disorient them as well, giving us the advantage.""Let's go!"
Thomas' Decidueye would fire the first shot, launching the Pokeball of Thomas' Metagross into the fray. The Metagross would land the first strike, generating an Earthquake that would certainly draw the enemy's attention. Fawkes had been slowly rising in the air during this, and as soon as enough time elapsed for Josh, he would command for Fawkes to use Tailwind to speed it's charge - and attack. The Charizard would rocket through the air, letting out a fierce roar that would gain the attention of their opponents, just as Josh had planned as they would fly overhead. "Flamethrower!"
The Charizard would fire a stream of flames from it's maw that would rain down on their opposition, forcing them to defend themselves and leaving them open not only to another attack from the Metagross while they were taken by surprise, but also to the attacks by the two Decidueye... Who would gain the perfect opportunity to snipe from the shadows without interference. And once the Decidueye had landed their surprise attack from afar, Thomas would be able to zipline in and take his opportunity while the opponents were scrambled... The rampaging, golden Metagross would soon find itself joined by a large Charizard raining fire down on top of the enemies, giving him a far clearer shot at smashing at the responding guards, and their Pokemon. Meanwhile, the Decidueye duo would be further supporting the efforts of the large Pokemon with sniper fire from the hills. Deadshot, the Shiny Decidueye, would shift his position with each shot taken, taking a good five shots at the enemy, before attaching another special 'arrowhead' to the Pokeball Thomas gave him earlier, firing off another Pokeball into the commotion.
This time, a Shiny Aegislash would emerge from the Pokeball, quickly shifting into her Blade Form, before slamming into a nearby guard Pokemon with Shadow Sneak, which was then followed up with a Sacred Sword.
While all the chaos was going down, and the guards were drawn away from the position where Thomas was to zipline down, Thomas fired the Line Launcher, which formed a sturdy connection between the wall of the building, and a tree behind the launcher. After testing the line, Thomas hooked himself up to the zipline, and quickly slid down, assuming proper form as he made his descent.
Finally, once he made his way close enough to ground level, Thomas would drop from the zipline, landing with a roll in order to break his fall. Despite the short grunt the Agent let out upon landing, the roll, and the distance he chose to make his landing allowed him to take the fall with no real injuries.
Once he was at ground level, Thomas would quietly make his way over to the fray, attempting to keep out of sight of opposing guards, aiming to take any opportunity to take out a guard stealthily.

The FUCK was going on!? Wasn't this supposed to be a discrete facility?! Heck this was one of their back up facilities at this point with how much interpol had been on their ass. The head of the guard was growing frustrated with how often they had to move and how many times he had to find new idiots to guard these mad scientists while they did their thing, and now it was all finally coming to a head and he was all but sure they were outnumbered with how things were going. At least in terms of pokemon and sheer firepower. "Boss! Boss!" "What is it now!" Snapping at one of his subordinates, the scrawnier guard jolted back and answered meekly. "T-that new girl you hired! She ran off with the briefcase out one of the emergency exits! We don't know if-" "Get Jim and Jones onto it I don't have time for this! Once you've done that, grab someone and get to the front while I help these idiots evacuate!" There was a brief pause where all the scrawnier man did was nod, earning a very sharp "MOVE ALREADY!" ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- At the front of the facility, the scrawnier guard reached the large commotion, terrified by everything that was going on and throwing out a pokeball given to him by one of the scientists, a female guard rushing out beside him and throwing out her own. "O-okay...w-we just delay them, and the moment none of the others are looking...run?" "Sounds like a plan..." Heracross and Pinsir! Wave 1! The plan was going well, so far. Josh's idea to come in via waves and constantly take their opponents by surprise over and over again had worked like a charm, and they'd kept the surprises to just enough that they wouldn't have expected them. Though even if they were still expecting more, that meant there was part of them looking around, and not focusing on the threat at hand. With their lack of numbers, Josh would take what advantages he could get. "Thomas, defenders!"Josh would point out the approach of the Heracross and the Pinsir, as Fawkes would land and Josh would climb off the Charizard's back. It seemed that the battle was about ready to begin. "I'll take the Pinsir, odds are that Fawkes should have an easier time against a Pure Bug Type... If you don't have anything that can handle a Bug/Flying Type, let me know, and we can switch. I figured that with the more types Heracross has, the more options for you. In the meanwhile..." He began as he would point toward the Pinsir, noting that their Trainer didn't appear to be as confident as he would expect them to be. Just how much had Dasha and Kai left them for a loop? At least they were doing their jobs... But that just meant he had to work even harder on his! "Fawkes, Swords Dance, attack with a Flamethrower!" Josh would command to the large Charizard, who let out a loud, resounding roar before launching a stream of fire in the direction of the Pinsir. Once the flames would dissipate... "Flame Charge!"
The Charizard, the moment the Flamethrower ended, would engulf itself in an aura of flames before launching itself at the Pinsir... Charizard used Swords Dance (x2 Attack) Charizard used Flamethrower Charizard used Flame Charge (x1 Speed)

Thomas would manage to catch a stray guard ordering his Pokemon around to fend off the attackers. The trainer briefly looked around, before springing from the shadows, kicking the man's leg out from behind, pulling him towards the ground, before putting the man into a sleeper hold, trapping one of the man's arms in the lock in the process. As the man struggled against the sleeper hold, Thomas dragged the man towards the shadows, while Deadshot finished off his underling with a well-placed Leaf Blade. Once the man had passed out, Thomas quickly bound the man's hands behind his back with a pair of cable tie handcuffs. The agent would then pat the man down, finding a knife that would be used in sawing through cable ties tucked away. His search would also yield a radio, but other than that, just personal effects, such as his wallet and keys. With the man having been searched, Thomas send out Logan the Alakazam. The Alakazam, having been debriefed about his role in all of this, knew what he was seeing. The Alakazam grabbed the man, and teleported him off to the mobile holding cell. Back in the fray, Thomas would be informed of the mounting counterattack forming. Thomas grinned widely, having anticipated these bastards would eventually do so, having been hoping for it. The agent would allow his teammate to claim the Pinsir in question. "My team can handle a Heracross.", Thomas would say once the man finished. Nicoloe, having noticed their arrival, would quietly perform a Swords Dance, in order to build up her strength for what was to come. Within moments, she would use Shadow Sneak in order to close the distance between herself, and the opposing Heracross, emerging in an uppercut-like fashion, before following up with an Aerial Ace. The two guards were easily a little shaken by the powerful looking interpol agents who were rushing the front of them. They each seemed to pick their targets and the guards didn't have much choice in turn, the male shaking nervously as he just wildly gestured towards the incoming Aegislash. Rolling it's eyes the Heracross took the lead in it's trainer's stead, rushing forward it would coat itself in a thick green aura as the shadow sneak tried to take it, with the aerial ace facing a similar problem as it bounced off his hard shell. With the Aegislash so close, Heracross held onto it and pulsed an earthquake directly into it's attack form.
"Pinsir! Tank one and dodge the other!"
Sadly the pinsir couldn't avoid both attacks, taking the unenhanced flamethrower and dodging the flame charge as best he could, snickering at the opposing dragon, and bombarding it with double rock tomb.

"Damn... Should have taken into consideration it might know Rock Tomb" Josh would let out in a low growl as he would call for Fawkes to fly into the air, dodging the first Rock Tomb by just a hair as it would get just a little speed at the last second to avoid it... And then dive-bombing downward in order to avoid the second with the burst of speed that the tactic gave it. It gave little opening to attack, but if Fawkes was frozen in place, it would be very difficult for the Charizard to use the air advantage to dodge attacks anymore, and the Fire and Flying Type weaknesses to Rock Type moves would become a problem incredibly quickly. While another Fire Type might have had less trouble with a double weakness, they'd have still had a weakness to deal with nonetheless, and Fawkes was vital to making his plan work in the opening rounds. No, he didn't regret using Fawkes in this. He couldn't account for everything. He'd made his decision, now he would live with it. "Flare Blitz!" Josh would command toward Fawkes as the Charizard would use the fact it was already dive-bombing and gaining speed and momentum in order to rocket toward the Pinsir, a flaming aura surrounding it once again... This time much more violent as the Charizard would go for a crash into it's foe at full speed. He needed to finish this quickly, he knew. If he didn't then there was going to be problems. Of course, Josh was preparing for a dodge, he'd be expecting it. The dodging had freed up too much time for the Pinsir to prepare for them. The least he could do was have Fawkes pull up if it tried to dodge, in order to avoid crashing into the ground... The problem now was that Josh was going to have to go on the defensive. If he could hold out long enough for Thomas to defeat the Heracross, then perhaps they might have this. But who knows how long Thomas would take? Josh would need to think of a plan... They'd likely grow wise to his stall tactics eventually.

Nicole's eye would shoot a glare of annoyance at the Heracross, who would throw up a protective field in response to her Shadow Sneak, as well as her Aerial Ace. But the incoming Earthquake was of little issue for her, as she quickly threw up her King's Shield, and set up a protective barrier around herself, shielding her from the effects of the Earthquake. While Nicole was protected from the Earthquake, Nordom and Thomas would feel it themselves. While both were out of the harmful range of the attack, given it was contained to a single opponent, the Metagross would have to widen its stance for a moment, before going back to its rampage. Thomas nearly fell over himself, just having barely maintained his balance. In retaliation, the Shiny Aegislash would aggressively bombard the blue beetle with a pair of Aerial Aces, not willing to give the insect any sort of breathing room. The two guards felt their pokemon were clearly out-classed, but perhaps they could at least act as a good distraction for a time...! ...Or not... With the protect so recently used, the Hercross's one attempt to finish the Aegislash quickly ending in failure, the fighting insect was at the mercy of the retaliating aerial ace strikes, hissing out as it was send tumbling backwards in agony from the swift slashes, the Pinsir too meeting it's fate in a fiery explosion as the rock tomb's it used managed to blind it to the charizard's approach, landing scorched next to it's trainer, dizzy eyed and groaning. The two guards, neither actually owning the defeated Pokemon personally, shared a look, and began to run deeper into the facility in a hope to lose to two Interpol agents, leaving the Pokemon behind. Wait, that... That was it? Josh had been expecting to have to drag this out until Thomas would be able to finish his round, which he seemed to get the better luck of the draw on, but that ended up not being the case at all. He hadn’t even had a chance to ask Thomas when the Pokemon would be hit and go down. Josh was taken aback a moment, but it was clear he’d simply misjudged his own strength and that of his Pokemon. But he knew that before long, more of these things would likely show up. When they did, he would have to be ready... They might be far better than those ones. And by far, most likely. If one party fails... they always send a much better, much stronger party the second time in in order to not repeat the mistaes of the first. He needed to keep his guard up a all times. He could not relax until the mission was complete and they were back at headquarters. He was more taken aback though by the fact they had left their fainted Pokemon behind. Letting out a low, irritated growl, Josh would look toward Thomas. “We need to go deeper in and stop us. Even if they’re expecting us now” The blonde would remark, takng a deep breath and shaking his head as the Charizard would fly down to their side. “Would you lead the way on this one, Thomas?”
