If Ruby had expected the next Pokemon she would see to be an Audino, well she didn't let on whether she was expecting one or not but holy balls there were so many! There were....
One, Two, Three.... four, five..... uh... si...six? Seven... twenty.... Pff no, not nearly twenty of them but far more then three. There were eight the Pokemon had counted and for a second the fire fox just stared blankly at the rather sizeable hoard of them. The Vulpix let out a sigh, eying the group of Pokemon.
God damn it he's gonna see it and want it. A brief pause before the Pokemon opened her mouth to point it out.
"Ummm... Steven you might want these." the creature offered up, motioning with one paw toward the cluster. The kid could catch a few, he knew that and so too did his partner.
Steven's eyes widened as he spotted hte eight Pokemon, knowing he had seven Pokeballs on his possession meant there would be one left alone. The Trainer looked down at the fire type as she stepped forward, tossing her gaze back at the boy before stepping over toward the nearest Audino. The Pokemon opened her mouth, firing off a flamethrower toward one of the creatures. The fire flew through the air, slamming into the the creature and drawing it's attention. The Pokemon turned it's attention toward the fox and within seconds Ruby had fired off a second Flamethrower, hitting hte creature before it could do anything to react.
The first Audino had been taken care of, had been taken out within seconds by the fire fox that was Ruby. That was.... fine she supposed, not like there was anything beyond capturing the things to do anyway. Of course, he could have them fought and defeated, But as it stood the young boy hadn't wanted only to defeat the Pokemon in question, to leave them unconscious on the snowy ground for whoever to find them, or predators to come across. It didn't suit Steven at all to do that kind of thing to the various Audinos.
One now taken care of Ruby turned her attention back toward the remaining seven Audino, allowing the heat of her natural fire to swell within her tiny fox body.. She smiled to herself, wondering if Sapphire would be impressed with what she was doing here today for their trainer, or would she be mad at Ruby for having sneak attacked the first Audino as she had: The fire Vulpix was unsure herself but she hoped it would be the former of the possible feelings for the ice type she was thinking about. As it stood, Sapphire was still tucked away safely in her Pokeball. The Vulpix let loose a second FlameThrower, the fire hitting another nearby Audino and drawing it's attention. The pokemon let out a growl toward the female fox, moving forward to try and use a Pound attack Ruby. The fire fox gritted her teeth, beginning to whip her tails around for a Tail Whip. Audino watched thefemale Pokemon's tails wag back and forth, even as she slammed into the fox's warm body.
Audino-B felt it's body slam into the Vulpix's body and Ruby only let out her own little growl, the no-attack kind of growl.
The Pokemon's form fell to the ground as it let out a breath of fright, the small boy tossing a Pokeball off toward it.
One more Vulpix now down, stunted by the burning sensation of hte Flamethrower even as it had managed it's own attack two more drew their attention toward the young boy and his Vulpix.
"We... are going to need some more help r...right?" Steven asked, unsure of his own ability to help his Pokemon handle this situation. Ruby only nodded her head as the two Audino advanced toward them. One Audino rushed toward Ruby yet again, moving to slap at the Pokemon with a Double-Slap: The fire type let out a screath as the pink Pokemon's paws smacked against her form, sending her tumbling backwards.
Steven stared worriedly, watching his Pokemon as the second Audino of the two that had drawn it's attention toward her: She did need help... Nervously the boy pulled outa Pokeball, clicking the button to release the Pokemon with in it. The light formed within seconds to the familier yet different form of the Vulpix, her coat a crisp white unlike the orange-ish red fur of her fire type counterpart. Sapphire eyed the situation carefully, quickly taking in the form of the cluster of of Audino. It seemed two had diverged on her comrade?
She took one step forward, unleashing a bright beam of light toward one of hte Audino, the Aurora beam slamming into the creature and doing quite a bit more damage then either might have expected.
Ruby's gaze shifted toward Sapphire and she grinned eagerly, pleased to see her companion out and about if only for the sake of the battle ahead. The fire fox opened her own mouth, taking aim at the Audino nearest to herself, the one Sapphire had not hit. The creature let a hiss of anger as the flames tucked into her furry form. The twelve year old pulled out two more Pokeballs, readying to toss one out as Sapphire fired an Ice Beam toward the one she had earlier attacked, the second one being hit again by another Flamethrower.
The boy moved, tossing the other two Pokeballs toward the Audino in question, watching carefully to see what might happen.
There were... four more there, four more Audino there that didn't seem to either want to, or think they could take the fire and ice types on. The boy watched as the remaining four Pokemon rushed away, some frightened and the others simply leading their friends away.
