With the sled stopping and the storm picking up Ral knew they had to get cover and make shelter but there wasn't much they could get to help cut the wind from blowing the tent.'man I have to think fast or we can freeze. Didn't take long for Ral to make up a solution on how to block the wind so they can set the tent up for.
Reaching into his cloak Ral brought out a pokeball, With a flash of light Ra's Lycanroc was standing in front of them. The Lycanroc didn't look to happy to be out of its warm pokeball and in the storm."Hey, we need to block the wind so we can set the tent up without the wind blowing the tent over, use Rock Tomb and to build a wall to block the wind." The Lycanroc gave his trainer a nod in understanding of what was asked of him.
It took no time for Lycanroc to build a sturdy wall to block the wind."Good job, Lycanroc.' With this Ral had called him back to his pokeball. looking back over to Aracdie Ral saw a mouse shape shadow moving in the snow. Ral's instincts had taken over with a quick smooth action Ral had pulled another pokeball from his cloak this time trowing it past Aracadie.
The snow was coming down to thick to see Ral's Larvitar."I am counting on you, protect her at all costs!" Ral called this out to his Larvitar with dominance in his voice to make the importance of this task cross the Larvitar mind.
Larvitar understood if she messed this up her trainer would be made and spiteful to her, she went into sentry mode. sadly she didn't have any luck, the snow was just to thick. several minutes have past and she still hadn't seen any thing. With giving a look back to see if Arcadie was near. Larvitar noticed that Ral almost had the tent up, but she was on a mission to protect someone her trainer cares about and most of all the person who had given her this nice coat. She knew she cant join in the tent till her job was done.
With turning around to look around a shadow came straight for Larvitar. knocking her back but she got the shadow with payback making it cry out in pain. Larvitar didn't want to give it time to run to attack from the cover of the snow or to be able to attack back, She crunched down on this shadow. With another cry of pain then silence of the storm Larvitar knew she had won. She took a closer look at the attacker that was now in her mouth. Larvitar had realized that it was a Raichu the hole time that was attacking her.
Ral saw the shadow of two Pokemon fighting in the distance. Bringing his attention back to Aracdie and the tent he know that if they wanted to make it out of this storm alive they would need more then just stones blocking wind and a snow cover tent.
"This may sound crazy, but we should try to get a small fire going if possible. the boulders and the tent only can do so much to keep us alive in this, but it will just prolong us from freezing to death." Ral was calm but spoke up so she could hear him over the wind.'I won't let any one die, not out here or like this.'

Arcadie was helping get the tent up, or at least holding it while Ral hammered in the spikes to help it from flying away. The girl was impressed by his idea to use a Rock Tomb as a wall. She hadn't thought of that... Maybe she really did need to up her game as a coordinator. Use moves in unique ways, not just flashy ways. This thought process caused her to just stare at Ral through the storm for a few moments as he hammered in a spike. This was... different somehow.
That part she didn't have enough time to actually think about before she heard something that she had thought was the sound of Ral's Pokemon fighting. Instead, it was the sound of a different Pokemon approaching. She saw the shadow and reached for a Pokeball, only for it to be stuck to her hand by a well-placed Sticky Web. Gritting her teeth, she hunched down and protected her other hand so she could get out a Pokemon.
Diamant was none too pleased to be put out in this storm. Especially considering the opponent had planned ahead and the Sticky Web on her trainer was not the only one out. She was stuck for a moment, leaving her open for the Bubble attack, though she braced for it, taking less than she might have, at least. The Araquanid was not very impressed and came in to bite down on the ghost-type with a Crunch. It sent a shudder through Diamant and she knew she was in trouble...
The keystone Pokemon was not about to give up, however, and continued moving her base to get free from the sticky webbing left beneath her, meanwhile using Nasty Plot. She felt smarter than this strange Pokemon, so far out of place from where it should be... It didn't matter. A Dark Pulse wracked the area, knocking back the water-type. The Araquanid did not like this one bit and fired a special beam of water at Diamant, changing her typing. This caused a look of confusion from the Spiritomb.
The Araquanid attempted to use Bug Bite, aiming to take advantage of the confusion, but the truth was, the Spiritomb was very proud and now was quite angry. So the wild Pokemon was knocked back when stones filled the area -- a Rock Tomb meant to block out the attack. It was quickly followed by the winds. The already angry, freezing wind somehow changed. It took on a tinge of purple, whipping around and focusing on the bug. Ominous Wind tore into it, but Diamant wasn't done. Anther Rock Tomb formed, this time aiming to bury the offender.
Once there was no retaliation, the Pokemon moved itself back over by its human. "Good job, Diamant. Would you mind expanding the wall that's already here? Give us a bit more cover from the wind," the girl requested, to which the dual-type looked unimpressed, but still did as asked of it. "Makes sense," Arcadie responded to the gym leader. "I have a fire-type with me." Once there was a very thick wall around most of the tent -- save mostly for the top -- the coordinator released her Larvesta.
Then it dawned on her that they needed wood... at least to keep it going rather than require the fire-type to constantly keep a flame. She shivered at the cold and looked around. They could barely see a thing... it wasn't safe to go get wood even if they knew which way to start. "Let's just use Soleil's body heat to keep us warm. It won't serve to keep the wild Pokemon at bay, necessarily, but it's all I can do without firewood."
Overview: Araquanid used Sticky Web Araquanid used Bubble 25% damage, but Diamant tanked it - 13% damage (87% Diamant) Araquanid used Crunch 19% damage (68% Diamant) Diamant's Defense was lowered. As Ral nodded to agree, to the fire sub type to work as a space heater, a shadow had appeared in the storm. as it moved closer it took the shape of Ral's Larvitar. The closer it got the more it confirmed that in fact it was Ral's Larvitar.
"I see you made it though the storm okay...'" before Ral could finsh his Larvitar begain to glow and slowly change form. Ral just watched with cold eyes till this eventually stopped."Well i guess i can call you Larvitar any more huh? Alright Pupitar come in the tent and get warm you've done a good job. I think this storm might last couple house...hopefully it does this way we are not stuck in it overnight."

Arcadie looked a bit crestfallen at the evolution. Now the coat didn't really fit... She trudged through the snow to pick it up, shook it out, and went to the sled. She got some food out of her packs and got the dogs out of their harnesses so they wouldn't end up with rashes or sores. After getting the dogs squared away and packing the harnesses away, she turned back to come to the tent. She opened the entry flap and ushered Soleil in first. The giant bug moved himself into the tent to settle toward the back and act as a heater. Then she would let the other Pokemon in. With a look inside, she furrowed her brow briefly before shaking her head and getting in herself.
It was... a little packed in there, but they weren't on top of each other, at least. Once Ral was in and the entryway was zipped, she would start to give some food to each of them in the tent. Diamant and Pupitar would get some berries to help them feel better as well. The other food was granola bars: store bought simple but healthy stuff for the humans and specially made bars for the Pokemon that Arcadie had requested from a local shop. "... None of your Pokemon know any weather-altering moves, do they? I mean... I feel like a Sandstorm would be better to travel in than this crap. We wouldn't have to be so concerned with freezing. We'd just have to..." She sighed.
"Crap... Never mind. I can't return those sled dogs blind. I don't have enough fabric to cover all of their heads." The girl growled lightly at the situation under her breath. She'd been so patient getting ready, but this... this was just... ugh. Once finishing her granola bar, she pulled out a small sewing kit with thread and needles all neatly compacted into a small container. Turning a little to face the Pupitar more, she attempted to discern how to fix this problem... Taking off the arms and patching the holes with the fabric was a start, but she also needed to figure out how to fasten it again. It would take her about an hour to do all this by hand. She'd just make strips of cloth and move the buttons onto them so there were three strips to go across the ground-type's chest in order to keep the coat in place.
"There. All better," she remarked with a smile as she put the new "cloak" over the Pokemon. Then she'd look to Ral and glance toward the entrance to the tent. "Doesn't seem to be letting up just yet... I hoped that would keep us distracted long enough," she muttered. Sure, her sewing probably wasn't all that enthralling, but at least it was something more to watch than... grey tent walls. "Now that you're all done, Diamant, let's return you to the Pokeball." The girl did so and sighed a little now that there was a bit more room.

Ral took a spot next to Arcadie allowing her to have the space she needed, with the question she had asked Ral pondered on it, It resulted with Ral letting out a laugh "Other then Sand Storm I can do Hail." The fact that would make the sitation worse amused Ral.
As the young woman got the container out and focused on the Pupitar Ral just watched and admired her dedication on work. Once she was done and looked back over to Ral he just smiled "looks good."
"Ya, I think We should take this time to rest up till the storm stops, no need to rush out there at the first sign of it slowing down. Just for it to kick back up again."
With seeing Arcadie return her Pokemon to it's pokeball Ral did the same.
With more space in the tent Ral just laid there and listened to the wind deep in thought. 'This has been one hell of a day and I even got to see some tears on that beautiful face of hers. Regardless if they were fake or not, she truly is stunning.' With rolling to his side to face Arcadie he would ask, "So what are you suspecting to find? In regards to the stone? What happens if the stone is just a pretty shiny pebble?.." Ral paused for a minute, "Well I guess we will find out, together till the end."
The wind had started to pick up with that, the temperature was slowly dropping."We shouldn't relay on our Pokemon to keep us warm, last thing we need is to burn them out and need them to battle for us. If you wan't to save them from that. You can cuddle up with me. Our body heat should suffice." Ral really didn't know how she would take that but he was hoping that the logic in it made sense to her.

The dark-haired coordinator just shook her head at his information on the weather changes with a smirk. Once it came to the change in Pupitar attire, she grinned and took another moment to admire her work. Ral made a good point about the storm, though. She didn't really want to be stuck in this tent too long, but she could deal... Certainly better than freezing. Then he had to go and ask about the journey itself.
"I don't... know what I'm expecting, honestly. All I know is that all of my Pokemon react to the one I have. It makes them... sort of excitable. If they respond to it, there has to be something. What that something is... well, that's why we're here in this horrible situation, now isn't it?"
The girl just glanced over toward Soleil at the beginning of Ral's suggestion. Then she looked back to him with raised eyebrows. "You're not very subtle," she'd express with a smirk. "Soleil's body heat is what's warming this tent. He's not doing anything special; he's just sitting there. He's a fire-type. So my question here is this: if it takes us so little energy to keep each other warm with body heat, why would my Pokemon be any different?" It was a valiant effort and Arcadie had, for a moment, considered just going along with it. She couldn't help but tease him a tiny bit, though...

Ral gave a smirk to her comment,'Was worth a shot.' Looking back over to Arcadie he just gave a gentle smile,"You do have a point, And you cant blame a guy for trying." Ral had said this last part jokingly.
Ral thought about if any of his pokemon got excited to be around the stone he had, but he never really had thought to see how they react. 'Most of mine would be to big to fit in here.' Was the thought that popped in his mind when he thought of seeing how they would react to the stone.
"So any plans after this crazy adventure?" Ral had asked with interest.
A few moments had past and it had seemed the storm had started to die down, Ral didn't comment on this he enjoyed her company more then most in fact he really didn't enjoy any company other then watching the challengers of his gym leave in sorrow. Ral couldn't really put his finger on it why she was different.

"I most certainly can't blame a guy for trying," the girl would respond quietly, but with a smirk. Arcadie was quite different than the gym leader in that case. She almost always had at least one of her Pokemon out, walking along with her or even being carried in the case of some of the smaller Pokemon she had. This gave her a fairly small advantage to some things, like the stones but also a second set of eyes. Even just walking through the city could be potentially dangerous for a young woman all her own. Ral didn't have that particular disadvantage, though.
"I guess my plans mostly depend on the results of this trip. If I get information that leads me somewhere else, that's where I'll go. If we get all the information we need, well... no, I don't have any special plans. I'll have to return the sled dogs, but I am fairly positive they have a spot in Aleal. I'm just a strange one, asking for sled dogs in Caravella rather than coming here first." She laughed a little bit at herself and shook her head at the stupidity of it. No matter how good she was at figuring out how to accomplish what she wanted, sometimes she took the much more difficult path simply out of stubbornness.
Arcadie didn't notice the storm dimming down, truth be told. She was focused on the now and she would be for another few hours. It took another hour and a half for the storm to fully die down. It would take another hour after that for Arcadie to realize that she could no longer hear the wind. By this time, Soleil had fallen asleep and his temp had cooled slightly as his heartbeat slowed with the rest. This resulted in yet another thing that the girl didn't notice: she had moved slightly closer to Ral over the course of their talking. Not close enough that she was at a constant state of touching him, but very easily close enough to bump him with a simple motion occasionally. And yet... she only seemed to actually notice how close she'd drawn when she moved to open the tent, only to kind of hit his chin. "Are you okay?"

Ral let out a small grunt for getting hit in the chin but let out a small chuckle soon after. "It's all good." Ral decided to open the tent entrance to show her he was truly okay."looks like the storm has passed. I can get the dogs and sled ready you can take your time and warm up a little longer."
Ral had hooked all the dog's up to the sled and then proceeded to look into the horizon to get hos barings on what direction they had to head to.'Man, we got a lot of snow traviling might be harder I think I should direct the sled this time if she is okay with' Ral looked back to the tent with a raised voice called out to Arcadie "Hey, looks like the we got a lot of snow I think it might be better if I was the one driving the sled, no need to worry my father taught me how when I was younger on a family outing one winter." Ral never understood his parents they always had high expatiations for him let alone their bizarre punishments when he wasn't a "good boy' these memories sent a chill down his spine.
Ral took some extra time preppeing the rigens of the sled for his height for easier traveling. A shadow had covered Rals vision on the regins quickly looking up, he was able to see in time to jump out of the was as a bunch of water had crashed into where he had just been standing.
Ral frantically looked around to locate where the source had gone all at the same time taking a pokeball out of his winter cloak "All right Golem your up, we cant let our sled take a direct hit or we will be in trouble."
The Golem stood next to his trainer looking where it might come next, Ral had almost thought it was gone till the shadow once again showed in the snow." over there, use Spark" Ral's hair started to stand up while the air filled with static electric as the Golem charged its attack. With letting out a blast of electricity at where the Pelipper was."Direct hit!" Ral called out with satisfaction. The Pelipper came to a fall from once it was in the sky showing a decent impact in the snow where it had crashed.
Ral gave his Golem a nod and returned it back to it's Pokeball, then proceeded to examine to see if the sled had taken a it.
'Looks like it's okay but we should take it slow for a few just in case.' Ral calmed the doges before returning to the tent to see how Arcadie was doing.

The girl had stayed in the tent for a few moments, but then decided it was better if she started to take down the shelter so they could get going as quickly as possible. So she had bundled back up carefully and made sure there were no items left behind inside the nylon before she stepped out of the tent, Volcarona following her. She had the spike tool in her hand to get the tent up.
The splash did attract her attention, but thankfully Soleil was paying full attention to everything and noticed a very out-of-place tree. He examined it a moment, right up until it started to move. Not taking any chances, he wreathed himself in fire and dashed at it, hitting it nicely in the side and causing it to react and give away its otherwise "well hidden" position. At least well enough hidden from the humans.
Arcadie moved her eyes back to her own Pokemon and the wild one. "Ugh... Soleil, Bug Bite!" Tasty tree was tasty. Somehow... that wasn't as effective as either Pokemon or trainer thought it would be. The Volcarona looked down at the tree and noticed it had protected itself with a slightly-less-essential part of itself: a leaf. It still hurt... but the thick make up of the palm leaf helped to shield the Pokemon. Arcadie growled lightly. Stupid thing... Should've just let things end there.
"Light Screen," she called to her Pokemon and the glimmering wall of protection came into being around the Volcarona as he pulled away from the Exeggutor. This proved to be a good move as a Psyshock slammed against the barrier soon after. The Exeggutor's next move was just to scowl and create his own barrier in a Reflect. This way he was just about as protected as Soleil... probably even better. Arcadie sighed softly at this and licked her lips. What to do...?
Soleil, no matter how loyal, was sick of waiting when he knew the best course of action. He flew forward, straight at the tree and bit into it again. At least, he would've if the thing hadn't moved! "Good, try again, but use String Shot first," Arcadie gave the instruction, making the Volcarona buzz. He spit out a long line of webbing to keep the damn thing in place this time as he went to take another bite.
This time, it connected... and Arcadie could tell this Pokemon was fighting to stay upright... Part of her felt bad for it and she was reaching for an Ultra Ball so she could take it home when it just seemed to go absolutely insane. It whipped up a Leaf Storm, which barely made a scratch on Soleil but it did cut up Arcadie's hands and face. Soleil moved to cover her, which left him open for a Wood Hammer, but the move caused the Exeggutor to collapse.
Carefully nursing her hands, Arcadie just looked at it in absolute shock. "Did... did you see that? It saw me reaching for my bag and just... went crazy. Why?" The girl looked over toward Ral, brows furrowed in concern and several small cuts from the leaves bleeding across her cheeks. "I don't... think we should try to catch any Pokemon out here," she murmured. With a shake of her head, she went to the sled (careful of the ice the Pelipper created) and dug through the bags to find her spare pair of gloves.
Then she went back to helping with the tent. She'd worry about her cuts later. There were plenty of anti-scarring creams and such that she wasn't going to let this stop her. "Let's get going," she said after they'd gathered up the tent and put it away. "I'm fine with you taking over," she'd finally answer on top of everything, sitting herself on the sled. Such a crazy trip... and they'd barely even gotten anywhere.

Ral never realized she had left the tent till after he went to check on here when he had notice her next to the sled'Talk about being to focused.' as he approached her he notice some blood on her face.
Ral just looked at her with some concern, reach up with his hand and touching her chin to examine her cuts on her face by guiding her head to the left and right with his thumb. "They don't look infected, cant say much about scaring but I bet you have knowledge from being a coordinator on how to get wounds to heal and not leave a scare." Ral took his scarf off and wiped some of the running blood off the cuts on her face.
With a gentle smile Ral had suggested that she relax in the sled and he will finish taking the tent down before they head out.
Ral had maned the sled for couple house the dogs where not giving him a hard time. they had finally made it to the ridge as Ral got off the sled to take a look around he saw a cave entrance behind a snow covered tree and bush."Hey, that looks like a good spot to start looking."

The girl had just blinked at his act of taking care of her. Normally, she'd expect something like that and it wouldn't be a surprise in the least. However, because she was stressed and getting more and more annoyed with how difficult this all seemed to be, she was caught off guard. As Arcadie sat and watched as Ral finished gathering up the tent, she just furrowed her brows a bit and tried to make sense of this.
There wasn't enough time to find an answer and she just ended up more confused by the time they were on their way again. In order to focus on their task at hand, she decided to let it go and just think on what problems could come up and how best to deal with them. Water Pokemon were not one of those things... Arcadie had not planned for water-types to be up in the mountains in the middle of the freaking snow-covered Aleal! Now she was a little panicked as the two Pokemon came out from the very cave Ral was talking about.
"Go, Joseph!" The girl expected a Furfrou but what she got was a shiny-colored Treecko who gave her a confused look. That was most certainly not his name! How dare she? Arcadie looked equally confused.
"Pomme? How...?" Looking down at her hands where his Pokeball was, she was not quite sure... how she managed to get this Pokemon as opposed to the one she intended, but she wasn't going to complain. "Doesn't matter; happy to have you!" The grass-type looked quite proud of his usefulness and turned back toward the Pokemon that were advancing.
"Use Agility and then Solar Beam," she instructed, not taking any chances on waiting for these ones to attack. They could see the Golduck and Floatzel coming as opposed to the other Pokemon that had tried to sneak up on them. Pomme did as instructed, shimmering as he increased his speed and then he started to absorb sunlight, taking it in with a look of delight on his face. Once he'd charged, he fired, straight for the Golduck. Arcadie had not specified and he just... well, he didn't like that smug look.
The Golduck slid back, holding the injury he'd been caused and narrowed his gaze on the Treecko. Taking a deep breath, he opened his bill and let out a Screech, causing Pomme to shudder and try covering his ears, to no avail. Quickly afterward, the Golduck was in his face, hitting the grass-type with an Aqua Tail. At least, he tried, but Pomme could feel the danger and moved himself out of the way completely. Then he got headbutted for his trouble.
The poor Treecko was hit very hard and got thrown off quite a bit. Arcadie grit her teeth, waiting to see if Pomme would recover or whether he needed to be returned. She could see him righting himself and called, "Giga Drain!" Immediately, the lizard-like Pokemon reached forward to press a hand to the water-type and immediately began to absorb energy from it to heal himself. That was enough to knock out the Golduck and Arcadie heaved a sigh of relief.
Looking over to check on Ral, she made her way over to pick up Pomme.
