[nospaces] [attr="class","biggieno"] [attr="class","textieno"] ❤Mission Page❤[break][break] The was already starting for one member of Pahala’s oceanic crews, even though the sun had yet to rise above the horizon. The moon had set a few hours ago, and there was a distinct glow in the distance reflecting off the water. Even the Pokémon here wild or not, were still tucked safe and warm in their homes. The chill in the air was striking though quite invigorating. It served to only further spur on the young woman as she moved around the deck of her ship, ensuring that everything was ready. [break][break] She had finally sent in her application to become the gym leader of Pahala with her proposal to open it as a water Pokémon research center and Aquarium. Her love for water Pokémon encouraging her to broaden her horizon, and follow a path that could prove to help her research, and help others as well. This was her chance. Though in the beginning she only meant to approach league for assistance with funds in setting up and restoring the old Pahala aquarium. Then she saw the add for the region needing a new Water Gym Leader. She figured it could be a good experience, teaching other about Pokémon, with battle. Maybe, just maybe she could influence a few minds, to follow her and help protect the Waters of our world, for generations to come. [break][break] She had woken early just to make sure that all of the Pokémon, on her ship were taken care of and fed. Each one getting its special treatment for the morning, and running checks on those she had been working on rehabilitating. That was one thing Gidget had decided her Aquarium would have. She would set up a care center for injured or sick Water Pokémon that needed help. She didn’t care if the ocean Pokémon, or fresh water, or even if they weren’t just water Pokémon, her doors would be open to any Pokémon that needed help. [break][break] Now Gidget stood on the bridge of her ship her papers and all other ideas and information she thought she might need, gathered in a neat black folder. For once, instead of wearing something that showed off her sailor’s physique. Gidget had chosen a simple black long-sleeved sweater, that fell off her shoulders, exposing the softly bronzed skin underneath. For pants she had chosen a simple pair of jeans, and black engineers boots. All tied together with a nice black leather jacket. Her crimson locks had been tied back with a light blue scrunchy, in a long Ponytail. Her usual hair styles. Functional and cute. [break][break] Her hands were shaking, and her heart was beating so hard it wasn’t even funny. It actually kinda hurt, but she just knew it was from being nervous about the events to come. She left the bridge of the ship and stood near the gang plank waiting for the league official to arrive, the one she was informed would be visiting her ship today, to have an interview and hear what her ideas and plans she had for the Water gym and Aquarium. She was worried that the league official would decline her proposals. It would be any moment that the league official would be arriving. Coming up the docks was a young mousey looking woman with her own series of filed papers all tucked under one arm and a backpack full of still other things including a laptop. She wore a pants suit complete with a pin stripe white and beige blaser and pants to match. Her hair, a questionable off-brown color, was done up in two pig tails that were probably supposed to make her look younger but ended up doing the opposite. Behind a pair of circular glasses, her sharp red eyes held a particular fire that that could only be matched by her short stature. The short were angry because they were closer to hell after all.
“Good morning Ms. Monrose, I am Vivianna Leonhart of the Verian League. Your application to become the Water Gym Leader has moved passed the first round of appeals, and I am here to interview you. It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance.” Through all of this, her voice was soft yet prompt and held a sort of subtle sense of authority that came with her position and general demeanor. A hand raised forward in a simple shake, and it was only then that she allowed her features to quirk up a little, soften somewhat. Part of her job was to be a judge of character, but she was not there to make enemies.

Her nerves were clearly getting to her. Though she kept a brave calm face. Finally, Gidget watched as an official looking young woman, who was considerably shorter than herself approached the gang plank. Damn she was attractive, if Gidget didn’t have to behave, there was chance Gidget would be flirting up a storm. But in this instance, she really had to put her self-control to the test. As the young woman approached her gang plank she offered a warm and welcoming smile, to the league attractive league official. [break][break] “Good Mornin miss Leonhart, welcome ta th Serene Grace. Please, come aboard. I’ve prepared us some tea and snacks, below decks where its warmer.” She greeted the young woman promptly, and with as little Slateport accent as she could manage. Her slender form making the motion for Vivianna to come aboard. “If ya’d like I can also let ya meet some of m team after the official interview.” She offered, yet another possibility for the league official, wondering if she would indeed like to meet the possible future team of the Pahala Water Type Gym. As Gidget greeted the Vivianna, her voice was cheerful and friendly, though there was a tone of nervousness to her. She was offering her hand for the woman to shake as she came on board her ship. Tea and snacks? Why yes, that sounded lovely— as well as appropriate given the considerations. The woman gave a small nod and started aboard, her arms still clasped tightly around the folders and files she was carrying. Red eyes flickered around briefly before refocusing on Gidget again.
Ah! “Yes, that would be wonderful,” she answered with a small nod to Gidget’s proposition. Points for Gidget saying it before she had to. Pokemon were very important to begin with but made the basis for the very nature of the situation in this case. Shifting her arms briefly, the woman fished out a folder, opened it, and pulled out a file. “Your submission of current Pokemon was up to par.” A simple, straightforward note in this case. “Can I see them in this order?” She’d fish up the paper and hold it up briefly to Gidget again. They were listened in the form she had sent and could therefore choose how she wanted to address them, of course, but yes.

[nospaces] [attr="class","biggieno"] [attr="class","textieno"]
Gidget felt she had been wise, to prepare snacks and put the tea kettle on the stove before the official had arrived. Honestly, she was glad it was a woman, so she knew how to act and not go overboard with anything. As the woman took in her ship, with its state of the art surveying equipment. Lifts for bringing injured Pokémon on board. The bridge stood proud, with the many antennae the ship required for its equipment and GPS signals. As well as plenty of radio equipment. “The Serene Grace and her loyal crew welcome you aboard ma’am.” She gave a rather traditional sailors welcome to Vivianna, clearly very proud of her vessel. As she gave a slight yet still formal bow. [break][break]
“Well, then follow me. We’ll warm up meeting them below decks, if your alright with that?” Gidget offered kindly as she took the list from Vivianna. Though she had setup a perfect way to introduce her to each of her Pokémon. Moving gracefully to lead Vivianna toward the door in the wall of the Bridge that led below decks. Gidget pushed the door open, and a rush of warm air from below decks, accompanied by the soft hum of the ships engines idling, would greet the women. The sounds of movement could also be heard. [break][break]
Gidget had made sure have her other Pokémon occupied with either working in the research and recovery lab, or in the engine room making sure everything was working nicely and doing maintenance. She had trained her partners in minor mechanical maintenance, so she would have some help maintaining everything on board, instead of hiring a full crew. She did need to save money after all to work on her Aquarium if her gym position fell through. Not that expected it to, she just knew she might need a backup plan. [break][break]
Inside the stairwell leading to the first deck, the walls were painted the colors of burst sunset. Leading the woman onto the first deck she motioned to the door labelled. “Research & Care” The door itself painted a pale pink. “After you Ma’am, I figure before sitting down to tea and snacks, you might like to meet my primarily aquatic partners.” She offered with a genuinely warm smile. As she motioned to the door with her hand, it slid open to reveal a rather sterile environment, though down the center of the room, were two rows of large aquarium tanks, reaching from floor to ceiling. Along each wall was a set of equipment each for something different. Near the base of each of the six tanks, were computers hooked into the tanks, for monitoring the health and environment of the tanks occupants. [break][break]
The row of tanks on the left were set up for a fresh water environment including underwater foliage and places for the Pokémon to hide, as well as perches for them above the water in order to warm themselves or for those that were only semi-aquatic. The other side was setup for Oceanic saltwater based Pokémon. These were setup in a reef style. In the back of the room in the wall of the ship was an airlock setup to be able to go in and out of the ship from this deck to care for the Pokémon outside. “I am so glad that you all found my application sufficient to go through with this. I do hope that everything you find here is of interest to the Veria League, and that I will soon be working for you and you higher ups Ma’am.” She was being very formal, though her voice held a great tone of warmth, and a deep hope glimmered in her oceanic eyes. [break][break] In the fresh water tanks, a Slowpoke lay perched on a floating log, its tail dipped into the water. A Quagsire sat on the bottom of the tank munching on a berry. Near the Slowpoke sat a Poliwag happily, swinging its tail as it watched the women, clearly pleased to see company. Sitting on a rock in the tank was Totodile chewing on special designed toy, so he wouldn’t hurt himself chewing on other things. Floating on the surface of the tank was a Lotad curiously watching the women. A Tympole curiously swam in circles investigating the newcomer. At the top of the tank was an opening with a ramp for any Pokémon that wanted to come at, or that could come on land. On the ramp sat a Panpour watching the newcomer with a deeply curious expression, Beside the Panpour sat a Croagunk who just sat calmly observing everything. On the floor stood a Surskit rocking from side to side. [break][break]
Perched near the tank on a wooden tree looking perch, was a Wingull who caws in greeting. Turning her back to the tanks Gidget backed up and smiled, with a hint of pride. “Would you like me to introduce each of them, their names are there. Though you are free to look them over if you would like. They are all very friendly and cooperative.” She offered the pride slipping subtly into her voice. [break][break]
Motioning to the Slat water tank, it as well had the ramp and tank opening. In the water a Luvdisc, and Remoraid happily swam with each other in the center of the tank. On a small beach with a rock, rested a Shellos, on the beach lay a Popplio who was rolling a pink ball around with its nose happily. On the reef rested Tirtouga who gave bright smile in greeting. Resting on this ramp was a Marshtomp, who gave a cheerful wave. On the back wall of this tank and the outer wall of the ship, were made of hard pressure specialize glass. For viewing the open under water. Walking to the wall and pressing a button near an intercom with a light she smiled turning back to Vivianna. “It’ll be just a moment, then my Gyarados and Dewgong will be here.” Just as finished speaking, the all to well known for of a Gyarados’ head appeared in the viewing window, along with slender form of a Dewgong. Both summoned by the red light on the outside of the ship. The pair clearly never moving far from the ship.

Vivianna gave a small nod at Gidget, following her down below deck at that. Her eyes occasionally flickered to anything and everything she could see as she followed, but her lips remained closed for now. And yet a smile still quirked on her lips as she was directed into the Research & Care room was given. “Yes that would be very nice,” she answered pushing open the door and stepping inwards.
Ooooh. This was very intricate and well thought out. This ship was very up to date, yes. Ah and this girl was so perky wasn’t she? It was nice, yes. She’d say a couple words here and there, mostly of encouragement for now and ‘we shall see through your evaluations’ and such and such. And yet thereafter her attention fell predominately to the Pokemon. Her eyes scanned over them, and after a moment, her smooth gait would bring her to the tanks. Ahhh, she could tell even from here they seemed to be rather healthy. Her eyes flicked to the salt tank where she took in more Pokemon
Red eyes flickered back as Gidget spoke again, however, a small smile still on her features. “I would indeed like to look them over in a bit bit,” she answered briefly. She had been… something of a breeder when she was younger and knew very well the quality with which a Pokemon was taken care of determined much of its life and strength. At the mention of the Gyarados and Dewgong, she smiled a bit more and nodded. And oh— what a beautiful pair of Pokemon.
After a moment more of talking, Vivianna would set down her files to more closely examine each of the Pokemon, going over them with her hands if allowed to and holding several to see their temperament and natures. Ah yes, what good Pokemon. She was glad to see them all in such good condition. The League would be pleased; since she was already pleased.
It would be almost half an hour before she had finished her assessment, a warmer smile on her features now. “You have such lovely Pokemon,” she finally spoke with a slow nod, reaching and taking back her files again. A pen was pulled out, and she’d take some notes for later. “They all look very healthy, well taken care of, and well mannered.” As if Gidget didn’t know this herself, but here it was from an outsider sent to assess such things. “Thank you for letting me look over them. I am glad to say that your actual assessment is finished. As far as I am concerned, after some paperwork and some building contracts, you will be the new Water Gym Leader.”
“I would, however, like to go over some paperwork with you as well as some information regarding placement of and nature of your gym. I know you sent us some ideas of what it would be like, but we’re now going to need some more specific things, yes~?”

The Tides Carry
The Soft Songs of a Sirens Cry
Leading Vivianna through her ship, she was nervous. Her heart felt like it was beating out of her chest. She knew that Vivianna would be inspecting every little bit of her ship, not just her Pokémon. Everything about her and her lifestyle was under review in this instance. It was a strange feeling to be honest. She had never really done anything like this before. Was it like this when Father had to deal with his bosses? Or the media? It was absolutely nerve wracking. She was beginning to understand a bit why father always kept her out of the sight of media and that kinda of thing when she was young. She couldn’t help but send him a silent thank you. Gidget did however feel a bit better with the small smile the woman kept. It was a little reassuring that she was at least pleased in some sense with what she was seeing. As Vivianna approached the tanks, each aquatic Pokémon, came to the glass to greet her, by blowing a series of bubbles or swimming in eager cheerful circles. Gidget couldn’t help but feel a sense of relief with just how well behaved her Pokémon were. Though she would refrain from letting Vivianna meet Rocket. Not only because he would not be on her gym roster, but also because he had a serious attitude problem. Gidget left him under the watchful eye of Valkyrie her loyal companion. “Of course, the ramps are meant to support up to three-hundred pounds, so you’re perfectly safe to even check out the ones in the tanks.” She offered stepping forward, a light warm smile on her face. Clearly showing a bit that she had everything set up to care for even her Aquatic Pokémon with the greatest of care. The love that and tenderness Gidget showed each Pokémon, their mannerisms and personalities showed the attention she paid to her partners. Gidget couldn’t help but watch eagerly, giving soft praises to each of her Pokémon in turn, after Vivianna had given them a once over. She assured them that tonight’s dinner would be special, for how well they were putting up with all the poking and examination over the last few days. She had taken ALL of her Pokémon to the groomers, and to the Pokémon Center for a thorough examination to make sure they were in tip top shape for today. After the amphibious Pokémon had been given their examinations they came over to Gidget seeking approval, and attention. Which she of course readily gave by stroking each of them in turn. A bright and cheery smile spread over Gidget’s features as Vivianna finished her examinations. The clear relief of the official’s approval clear in her bright blue eyes. “Thank ya very much Ma’am, I rely on them much as they rely on me.” She spoke softly with a deep fondness in her voice as she stroked the head of the nearby Panpour, who was happily snuggling Gidget’s leg after its examination. Vivianna’s compliments on her Pokémon, brought a soft flush to her bronzed cheeks. She knew her Pokémon of course, but it really felt nice to hear it coming from someone else. The swell of excitement as Vivianna told Gidget the good news, was clear as she picked up the Panpour on the floor giving an overly happy squeal. She hugged the Panpour tight. Quickly collecting herself, Gidget sat the Pokémon back on the floor, and cleared her throat, a highly enthusiastic smile had spread over the young woman’s face. “If it’s alright, I have a set of blueprints, my father friend in Slateport drew up for me. They are in my cabin if you would like to retire in there to deal with the formal paperwork.” Gidget offered sweetly, as she patted the Panpour on the head and lead the way out of the lab. “I had the blueprints made after I sent the initial email in hopes of this day honestly.” She brushed her neck with a strange grin. “A little presumptuous I know. But I was gonna set up an aquarium if I was turned down.” She offered Vivianna a sheepish grin as she led the woman past the engine bay to her cabin. It was much like an apartment the Livingroom set up with plush rugs covering the floor, and a set of matching blue couches and chairs. On the Livingroom table sat a platter of fresh finger sandwiches, and cupcakes, along with a set of teacups. “Please make yourself comfortable, help yourself to some snacks and tea.” She offered with a sweet and gentle smile as they moved into the apartment. Upon the women entering, an Aipom came walking out of the kitchen with a teapot on a platter, resting on his opposable table. The Aipom moved cheerfully to the table to set the teapot on the table. Then before leaving came to offer Vivianna his tail to shake, with a bright and cheerful greeting of welcome. ♥*♡+:。.。Current Team。.。:+♡*♥

Vivianna smiled a little more watching Gidget’s reaction to the news. Good, good, she would make a fine Gym Leader, fingers crossed. As Gidget spoke, Vivi gave a small nod back. “Yes, that sounds good,” she answered promptly, only to stop as Gidget further explained. She wouldn’t reply back per-say, but her brow did quirk a little at the presumption. She supposed considering her Pokemon, it was reasonable enough in this case. Was she maybe oversimplifying/over-justifying? Perhaps a bit.
Following after Gidget, Vivianna would smile at the Aipom and shake his hand before sitting down on one of the couches. She’d hesitated only a moment before taking up exactly one sandwich and a single sip of tea for now. Thereafter, however, she started to go through her own papers again. Let’s see, yes. All these documents and forms would need signing and she’d set them down on the low table here, and then maybe she’d sort the division between expectations and compensation here and then finally the forms for the building itself and all hat entailed here, yes.
“Sorry but I am going to have to have you read over these documents yourself,” she commented leaning up again. “Proper procedure and all. I can explain what each of them is, however, if you want.” She would go on to explained ach of what the stacks meant and where the general signatures were required. However, for the most part, she would give Gidget sometime to read over them and assure herself again on what was to be expected and what compensations there were. She would be a community leader, after all, and there were certain stipulations that came with that. Any questions Gidget might have had would be answered in her simple prompting tone.
Once she had looked over and signed the bulk of the papers, they could actually discuss building structures and what would be needed.

The Tides Carry
The Soft Songs of a Sirens Cry
Gidget couldn’t help excitement, she had never dreamed that the league would approve her. She had applied on a whim and a hope, and now it was actually happening. She knew that she was probably rambling, it was a bad habit she had, when she was around officials or people of higher positions. She couldn’t help it, she felt awkward if she didn’t explain herself, or blurt out tid bits of information. As Vivianna greeted the Aipom, he gave a bright grin dancing about a bit before to scurry off and perch in of the arm chairs. Gidget gracefully but quickly took a seat next to the Aipom, taking a sandwich herself, as she offered another to the Aipom, who happily took it and began munching away. Gidget felt a bit more comfortable with Vivianna now that they were kind of on equal terms. Now that she wasn’t being evaluated, but instead simply filling out and signing paperwork, over snacks and a pleasant cup of tea. As Vivianna pulled out her paperwork Gidget pulled out six different papers covered in blueprints, which she handed to Vivianna. “Here you are, these are the blue prints, entailing the gym field layout, as well as the full outer building and each floor of the aquarium and what it’s for.” She explained sliding the large unrolled prints across the table for her to exam. As she took the paperwork offered from Vivianna. Sitting back after finishing the stack of paperwork, Gidget handed them back to Vivianna with a smile. A soft sigh escaping her as she looked at the rather attractive league official. “So, what do you need to know about the buildings? I can explain anything ya need ta know in detail.” She offered with a bright cheerful smile as she sipped on her own cup of tea now. Jay NPC | 306 | Post 5 of 10(5 of 5 NPC) ulla

Red eyes blinked briefly as Vivi looked over the blue prints for the Gym. My my, they were very detailed already, weren’t they? Even if she wasn’t an architect, the league official of sorts could understand the basic layout and what was planned for. She would have to get into contact with her own people to ensure that the structure was stable for building among other things, but that would be routine enough as it was. Leaders always wanted new Gyms, didn’t they?
As Gidget spoke, however, she looked up again. “Ah- this aquarium here,” she pointed out at least what it appeared to be. “Will be open to the public, yes? I remember that from your application. Will you be needing League assistance with it?” Even if it was not necessarily part of the battling mechanics or art, having something official to show to the public outside of battling was not a bad idea. A decent enough letter of recommendation and good conversation would be able to cover that, probably.

The Tides Carry
The Soft Songs of a Sirens Cry
Oceanic blue depths, watched Vivi closely as she observed the blueprints she had been presented. Gidget had been wise enough to ensure all of her blueprints and plans had been done professionally, so they looked nice. She wanted to appear at least a little professional in her determination.
Gidget had of course anticipated some possible questions from Vivi about her gym structure. A light smile appeared on the young woman’s lips, as she gave a soft nod, confirming that what she had indicated was correct. “Yes, that will be an aquarium.” She assured the league official with a bright knowledgeable smile. Though she hadn’t thought about requesting league assistance, for help in the aquarium merely for help building and setting a suitable stable place for the building to rest upon. She hadn’t considered asking for scientist or even students in college, to volunteer at the aquarium. She had intended of using integrated information systems. Computers would be easier but less friendly. “Yes ma’am, I was going to use the aquarium as an educational center.” The young woman explained, though paused for moment.
Perhaps having a more human interaction would better help the visitors learn more, and even have a more personable experience. “I had never thought to ask for assistance.” She flipped to the blueprints of the aquarium tanks, showing the computers that would display information, and have vocal explanations for the contents of each tank. “But I do really like that idea more, it seems it would give visitors a much more in-depth and enjoyable experience.” She offered a bright smile at the new ideas now bursting into her head. The workers at the aquarium could get to know each of the Pokémon there and even introduce them to visitors! “I mean, if the league has a few marine scientists, or even marine science students would be amazing. I mean having them around would take a lot of the feeding load off of me, and it could give them a chance to get firsthand experience in their field.” As Gidget spoke, it was clear how enthusiastic the woman was about her new job.
“They could even get to know the Pokémon and introduce visitors to them.” She finished grinning brightly at the young woman sitting across from her.

Vivi's lips quirked a little as Gidget spoke. The League did, in fact, have a few associate scientists here and there, but perhaps far more interesting was the rumor that a young man being considered for Professorship under Marine Ecology. Whether he'd get in or not was another story, but one she hoped would pan out for the betterment of everyone. A conversation for another time, however, perhaps. "I'm sure I can put you into contact with a couple of our local associates," she answered with a small nod. "As well as their studies and anyone they believe could assist you. I'd be a good experience for everyone."
Fishing out her pen, she jotted down some notes for later. Have to dig up those emails and tracks to assure that she could do that, but at least it only comprised talking to people. "What other prospects do you have for the community?" she asked tapping her chin thoughtfully. "Any plans for outreach or any projects you hope to further as a community leader in Pahala?" Sometimes gym leaders wanted time to settle in and feel confident before doing much else, and she couldn't blame them. Others, however, as it seemed with Gidget at least, were far more outgoing. "And is there anything you can think of- any question you want asked of me or the league in general?"

The Tides Carry
The Soft Songs of a Sirens Cry
It was easy to notice the quirk on Vivi’s lips as Gidget spoke fervently about her plans. It was easy to tell the young sailor had a deep passion for Water Pokémon, and anything involving Marine life. Thinking for a moment Gidget couldn’t help but have yet another few ideas that she decided she would pass by Vivi. “That would be great, thank you very much.” Gidget couldn’t but feel amazing, things were really starting to come together, and even better she would have people personally involved with her endeavors. “I truly hope that everyone can enjoy the experience of my gym and the aquarium.” She offered a brilliant smile as she leaned forward in her seat.
And now was her chance to hand out those ideas she just had. “How would the League feel about, maybe teaching certain marine based classes? Even diving lessons and excursions for those who pass certain classes? I could take them out on my ship maybe once a month to do reef diving and gather information.” She was hoping this idea would be acceptable. She thought that it would be a great chance for the community to really get involved in knowing their aquatic neighbors and their home. “I would also like to try and lead a clean-up for old Pahala, maybe work on cleaning up the trash and debris blocking the waterways, that are flowing into ocean. I have noticed it’s effecting the shoreline Pokémon, they are having trouble with the trash. Those that eat jellyfish and the like. I have found a bunch of them sick because they ate plastic mistaking it for food. It’s terrible and I would really like to get more people involved in the cleanup efforts.” She couldn’t help the sadness that seeped into her voice at the information she was now giving the league official. It was very dis-heartening news, but no one had thought about the trash still in old Pahala that was slowing making its way to the ocean.
“Well I’m more or less just curious, if it would be alright if I close the gym every Sunday, that’s the day I go to the reef and feed the Pokémon there, and check on their health and take samples. Do you think that would be alright?” She really hoped that would be alright, Sunday’s were an important day to her. She also used this day to find any Pokémon who may be in need of help.

Teaching certain marine based classes? A thoughtful look came to Vivi's features, but rather than speak immediately, she took notes. Cleaning up Old Pahala, yes that would be nice as well. She made note of it rather quickly. "Both of those ideas are acceptable," she answered adjusting her glasses. "We can work with you to help schedule excursions and have extra hands at your disposal, and we will try to assist you with anything you might need in cleaning up Old Pahala." How much she could actually do was debatable, but Vivia was at least willing to talk to superiors.
The last question, however, had her smiling a bit and nodding. "Yes, many of our gym leaders take entire weekends off. So long as you have a schedule and official gym hours, it should be fine." She smiled a little glad to be able to answer that immediately. "Anything else?" If not, she could leave for now, and in the incoming weeks, they could begin to build and work through her gym details.
