A couple steps down the stairs, and the rock that was the stairs would give way. Should she not grab the wall or otherwise stop herself, the trip down the stairs would be a rather painful one as they got steeper and steeper at the bottom either way.
From there, a large room with large vaulted ceilings would come to light. On the first glance, one would see old wooden wine casks lined up in some disarray, but much more disturbing was what was shoved into the walls. Caskets? Yes indeed. Perhaps these were catacombs at one point in time or another. There… appears to be one that has been pulled out and is very slightly open (though not open towards Karin but away from, to where she’d have to walk around it to see what was inside). The casket itself is empty save for a cluster of dead flowers. And … a strange doll—

It would be as the Banette was defeated that the ground, the walls, and even the ceiling began to vibrate ever so uncertainly. It was not enough to be an earthquake, not even cause by a Pokemon attack but something that was almost akin to vibrations, perhaps. The caskets rattled louder than everything else, and a strange cool feeling would invade the area. Perhaps the ghost of those laid to rest were now restless with the defeat of the toy? Or perhaps there was something more lurking in these ruins.
It would last for about a minute before settling— only for the creek of a wooden door to echo in the now quiet chamber. It had been opposing the stairs but now swung outwards as if beckoning Karin to enter. This room had a similar feeling to the last but included more caskets and much more cramped together. It was here that she’d be able to feel the restless spirits swirling about. On the far wall, a dirt message was written ‘help him’. What could it mean? Right after, however, the restlessness of the spirits would work up again whispering many inaudible things but being very shaky and disrupted regardless. Perhaps assurance would make them rest again? Perhaps not.

A piece of paper from a pile crumpled in a corner twitched and seemed to raise of its own accord. It would seemingly hang in the air for only a moment before flying towards Karin. On it appeared to be a child’s drawing, scribbles at best and yet… if one looked long enough, she would see the resemblance of the manor etched out in the crayon. Yes, yes there was the manor itself and the courtyard. There appeared to even have been a large tree in the courtyard’s far northern corner. A giant messy red x was drawn over it, however, was this… a child’s treasure map, perhaps?
If Karin were to follow the ‘map’ of sorts, she would find a large stump where the tree had once stood. If she walked around this tree, she would most certainly find the ground looser there, and should she push aside some dirt, she would find a wooden door leading under the tree, down below. It would be a much shorter walk than the catacombs but lead to, on first glance, a simple room carved out of the ground. Old toys and play things are still sprawled out on the ground but are in a state of ruin. It would be here that she felt the vibrations again, only this time coming from a pulsing toy: a small top that, once touched, would settle in Karin’s hand again.

From behind Karin, a voice would escape into the air. “Hi Miss!” light, airy. Should she turn around, she’d see the image of a young boy, no older than ten, standing before her with wide smile. His long dusty blonde locks seemed tied back simple way. His blue eyes were surprisingly excited. However, the way in which his clothes were beat up and torn would escape from no one’s eyes. Notably, a giant hole in the side of his shirt seemed to have been carved out, almost.
“How did you find my master’s hideout?” the boy giggled and shrugged. “He’d be so mad if he knew you were down here! But I won’t tell anyone, promise!” A hand reached up to press against his lips, and he made a funny face right then. “But you have to play a game with me! Hide and seek! Do you know how to play?” He swayed a moment and shrugged his shoulders. “I’ll hide and you seek, ok?”
And with that, he’d turn and ‘run’ through the tunnel again only to seemingly disappear into the air right after. A ghostly game of hide and seek? Where could the child have gone? The restless nature of the other spirits might be able to help Karin locate him in. Somewhere in the upper part of the manor, perhaps.

She would find him, indeed. The ghostly boy burst into a fit of giggles on seeing his hiding spot uncovered. "You found me!" he proclaimed warmly rolling out from under the bed. Leaning in, he'd grin a little. "This used to be my room!" he giggled once before allowing his face to fall. "Least until the master took over." He shrugged weakly looking. "His room is down the hallway a little, but! But you shouldn't go in there, ok?" He looked worried, as if having admitted these things was some huge grievance.
A sound, like hard steps, stomped down the hallway. The boy's eyes flashed sideways before looking up to Karin. He mouthed 'hide' before 'grabbing' her arm and somehow managing to pull her into a closet and close the door. He'd be there for a second, however, before Karin would notice him slowly fading away into the darkness. The sound of stomping continued. The door from the bedroom burst open. Banging- lots of banging, over and over and over again. Finally it would stop for a while, and when Karin reemerged. She'd find the room thrashed, the bed turned over, the drapes pulled apart. Carved into a far wall was the singular word 'leave'.
Would Karin do that? Leave the manor now that one restless spirit had shown itself? After so many had already beseeched her help? Maybe she could find some clues in this master's room, perhaps? As much as the other ghost had said not to, heh.
What she would find in the master's room was much more elegant furnishings and items. It was large, luxurious, but also empty feeling. Not even the other spirits seemed to enter here. Maybe look around for a bit? If you dare.

Stillness. Almost painful silence penetrated the room. And then, in a flash, Karin would see a Claydol appear. Called from somewhere on the grounds or somewhere deep underground, the creature was alive and aware. An incomprehensible sound reverberated from it as it charged up a Hyper Beam to blast through the room. Oh SHOOT????

Silence held in the room for the moment. Karin was back in the ruins again. Was it just because the sentry had wanted to split her up from her Pokemon- or was it because… "Hahaha" It started out quiet. "HAHAHAHAHA!" Louder. "AHAHAHAH~!" A masculine voice was reverberated louder, louder, loudest still. The slam of something opening silenced it all.
If Karin was fast enough to turn around, she'd see a figure stepping through the shadows of the room: a little boy, not quite the same as but similar to the last, stepping out of it. The closer he got, the older he became, growing tall, lanky, gaunt even? His clothes of riches hid it only slightly. His lips twisted up over his viciously tight skull.
"I told you to leave," he stated making direct eye contact with Karin. "This place is mine. These people are mine. That toy you took is mine. And you have overstayed your welcome." A hand reached out into the air, and had Karin been closer, she might have been 'grabbed'. "And I am tired of their incessantly worthless pleas. I will not let them go. Get out!"

With his Pokemon defeated, the man seemed to shrink again, coming to stand as a singular boy, his hair messy, his clothes still nice. "It's not fair! This is mine!" This time, however, his demands were much more childish, a babe throwing a tantrum. "It's always been mine- Mom and Dad were never around and-" He was tearing up, but his fists were in balls. "The servants were always… always…." He shook his head and puffed up again. "My friend… was mine too…" He whined a little weaker, looking almost tired now. "Until he died… And…" He was sniveling now but clearly still fighting tears anyways. "It's mine… they're all… mine…. It's not fair… it's not fair…."
Karin would feel the restlessness of the spirits once more. Their voices reverberated through the walls, concerned, uncertain, uncomfortable. The boy choked back a weak cry. "I don't wanna go away…"
