Roxanne headed into the cave, needing time away and alone to think. Strange things have been happening since she met with Harper Haile . Like, fuzzy hints of memories were becoming more persistent. Like the strange girl unearthed something within her. Something she wanted to keep buried for reasons best left undisturbed. But that was silly to even think about. Her imagination was getting the better of her, that was all. She just needed some time to relax all on her own, that was all. Just her and her Pokemon, doing what they always do on these kinds of days. With a false sense of bravado, she headed deeper into the caves.

Slugging on by right in her path was a Slugma. Roxanne looked at the fiery trail it was leaving behind and quirked her brow. as it stopped to stare at her. A fire type against a water type should be a no-brainer. Unfortunately, the only water type she had on her person was... Mola the Magikarp. A Pokemon who had no water moves of any kind to her name. All of her (and Dawnson's) research confirmed what she already knew. That Mola learned no water moves, regardless of training methods, breeding or any other attempts made by countless dedicated scientists.
Roxanne had noticed that Mola had appeared to be much stronger than when she first caught her. This slug Pokemon shouldn't be TOO much trouble for the tough scaled fish Pokemon. The Slugma looked at her with what appeared to be a smug look and Roxanne sent out Mola. Who flopped happily on the ground. Roxanne couldn't help the wry grin on her face at the cute fish's display. Such an optimistic Pokemon. Inspired, Roxanne ordered a Tackle to be followed by a Bounce. The bony fish tackled the lava slug and then bounced up before the slug could react.
The fish landed on the slug and splashed off away from the slug before she could react. The Slugma let out a plume of lava and Mola deftly dodged each lump of lava and tackled upon Roxanne's command. With glee, the fish bounced out of the way once more of the slug's embers and landed on top of her. The slug squawked in pain and surprise. And...embarrassment?
With a hint of uncertainty, Roxanne ordered a Flail to be followed by another bounce. Mola followed her orders once more and bounced onto the slug once more to the much slower Pokemon's dismay. With a screech, it spread onto the ground and seemed to be pouting. Rather angrily too. From the now defeated Slugma's bitter grumblings, Roxanne realized that the Pokemon wanted their own trainer to make them strong like the Magikarp was. Biting her lip, Roxanne grabbed a Pokeball and threw it at the Pokemon, hoping she can find a trainer that can help with this Pokemon's quest.
BATTLE BREAKDOWN Mola(Magikarp) used Tackle + Bounce on Slugma. Mola splashed away from the Slugma. Slugma used Lava Plume and Mola dodged the attack and used tackle once more. Mola used Bounce to avoid Slugma's ember. Mola used Flail +Bounce to defeat Slugma.

A rock with two arms and what appeared to be a load of magnets rammed into her head floated by. That was exactly one of the Pokemon she was looking for. She sent Mola back, a terrible idea to have a water type fight an electric type. Roxanne sent out Skye and she was already doing her victory dance. Roxanne beamed and sent the Mienfoo to Force Palm the Geodude. She touched the side of her electronic ears, a strange buzzing from the Geodude interfering with the connection. A faint image of a pink face looking in a mirror, trying to hide her ears flashed in front of her for a brief moment.
The sound of Skye's Force Palm connecting with the rock shook her from its grasp. The Aloloan styled Geodude curled into a ball, trying to defend herself against the onslaught. Skye turned to Roxanne, looking for orders on what to do next. Roxanne blinked, a strange tightness in her chest. Like panic mixed with a cacophony of other emotions drizzled in. Roxanne rubbed the back of her neck, trying to ignore the buzzing in her ears from the Geodude. Roxanne stammered, ordering a U-Turn. Skye looked at her with concern but did what she was told. She rammed into the Geodude, sending it off her course.
The Geodude discharged a batch of lightning and Skye yelped at the contact from the attack. Roxanne groaned as the noise in the ears only got worse. She had to take them off. She yelled for Skye to Bounce and yanked off her ears. The artificial ears came off with a quiet click as they powered down and the static buzzing faded away. She saw that Skye had bounced on the Geodude, who was now sprawled on the ground, defeated clearly.
Feeling vulnerable without her ears, Roxanne fumbled with her bag, making sure to put the ears in the bag first so they wouldn't get destroyed. She found a Pokeball and shakily took it out of the bag. She tossed it at the Geodude, hoping this will be a quick capture and she can get her ears back on. If they still were able to work properly...
Skye(Mienfoo) used Force Palm. Aloan Geodude used Defense Curl. Skye used U-Turn. Geodude used Discharge. Skye used Bounce. Geodude was defeated.

She grabbed the ball and put it into her bag, and turned her attention back to her cat-like ears.Roxanne held the ears in her hands and sighed. She didn't understand these things at all. Holding the ears close, the buzzing had stopped. The Aloloan Geodude must have been the cause of their malfunction. Something she needs to keep in mind for later, she is sure. She set them back on her head and felt whole again. Her tail twitched, detecting something strange. Roxanne slowly turned and at first, she didn't see anything. Just a lump of fuzzy brown rock.
Wait. Fuzzy brown rocks? That wasn't there earlier. Eyes opened slowly, greeting her slowly. The Slakoth seemed a little too happy to see her. Already freaked out, she backed up against the wall and yelped as a pointed rock with legs popped up and chirped at her. She scrambled to the other side of the cave and ordered Skye to Force Palm the walking rock. She happily obliged, smacking her palm against the rock's surface and sent it skittering across the wall. Roxanne's lips trembled and she looked back at the creepy Slakoth. It just blinked really slow at her.
Mienfoo was busy with the Roggenrola, the Pokemon trying its best to slap her with mud. Roxanne, shaken up by the Slakoth's eerie staring, sent out the first Pokemon she could grab out of her bag. Out popped a black and red tinted puffy tailed fox, a baleful bark coming from the tiny Zorua. The Zorua bounced on his little feet and was eager to fight whoever was menacing his momma. Voice trembling, Roxanne ordered Gaiden to Feint Attack the Slakoth. He did so, knocking the Slakoth onto the ground. It righted itself and stared right at Roxanne once more.
The Slakoth, now on the ground flailed at the Zorua. Roxanne ordered Foul Play from the feisty fox Pokemon and he obliged, knocking the leery Slakoth tumbling head over heels. For all of the leering gazing, the Slakoth is incredibly slow moving. It was child's play for Gaiden to avoid the Slakoth's attempts at attacking. With slowly returning confidence, Roxanne ordered him to punish the Slakoth. With a maddening cackle, Gaiden dashed over to the Slakoth and used Punishment, the dark purple aura surrounding him and the Slakoth. The Slakoth hissed and flailed her arms at the Zorua once more.
This time, she actually hit the fox and sent him tumbling on the rocky cave floor. Roxx turned and saw Skye still toying with the Roggenrola. Roxx returned her focus to chasing the Slakoth off and ordered Pursuit. His feet scampered on the rocks and he managed to stop his tumble and dash at the Slakoth. He smacked the Slakoth into the wall. While he had the sloth pinned, Roxx ordered a Feint attack. To her surprise, the Slakoth hissed like a cat. Roxanne tossed what was in her hand, which happened to be an empty Pokeball at the interdimensional Pokemon . Shaken, she turned and saw that Skye had finished the Roggenrola with a Bounce. Shrugging, she tossed a Pokeball at it, planning to trade it off the minute she was able. This was all getting to be too much for her.

Roxanne tilted her head in confusion. There, in the cave was a Bouffalant. Whatever it was doing in the cave, she didn't pay too much mind to. She was clearly stuck in the walll, her horns were anyway. And the beast was too spooked to let her help so she sent out Skye. The Mienfoo looked at the Bouffalant and was about to ask something when Roxanne commanded she Force Palm the beast. Not one to argue about battling, the Mienfoo slapped the Bouffalant, attempting to free the beast. No go. Instead of being freed from the situation the beast shot her a death glare and she backed up a bit. Roxanne commanded a High Jump Kick, hoping to kick the horns free. It kind of worked. But also knocked the beast out. Sighing, Roxanne tossed a Pokeball at the beast, figuring she will find a place for her somewhere.
Battle Breakdown Skye(Mienfoo) used Force Palm. Bouffalant used Scary Face. Skye used High Jump Kick.

Roxanne looked at the ball containing the buffalo and picked it up. She heard a braying and looked over. That's a Ponyta, in a cave. Looking outward of the cave, it's raining heavily outside, explaining the sudden strange Pokemon in this cave. Shrugging, she did want a Ponyta for some time and this was a perfect time for that.
She sent out a Shellos, the pink slug shaking her head in joy. Roxanne commanded a muddy water and the point barely had time to look startled before being struck by a wave of mud brown watery sludge. The pony fell, covered in mud. With that, Roxanne tossed a pokeball at the defeated beast.
Battle Breakdown Shella (shellos west coast) used muddy water. Ponyta was defeated. 1 evolution point.
Capture attempt Ponyta.
Last Edit: Apr 16, 2018 14:41:21 GMT -8 by Roxanne Doppelganger: This pony was not supposed to "bejing". This one was supposed to be braying. Fixed it with speech therapy.
