This… Isn’t really what I was expecting? The long pink curtain of hair that she wore over her left eye concealing much of her expression, as one of her brow arched upward whilst the other seemed to droop in a fashion that made half of her face look like it was frowning, Sophie Sequoia stood in front of a place she hadn’t anticipated discovering. What looked to be a reasonably proportioned and well sized home in front of her, there was nothing particularly unusual about the building she looked at, aside from the fact that it seemed to completely defy that which she had envisaged.
Did I actually get the address right? Dressed in the uniform she had found something of a fondness for during her time employed by Arcadia, her lilac garb shimmered in the light of the afternoon as she lifted her left arm and began to tap away at the colour matched device around her wrist. Small beeps seeming to ring out into the quiet of Carrefor as Miss Sequoia searched her phone for the details of her destination, after glancing at the house number and remembering the sign post for the street she expected she had made her way to the right place, and yet felt compelled to scrutinize her arrival further.
Well, that seems conclusive… Either I’m at the right place or all means of information have been affected by a common misconception? Flicking away the email chain that she had exchanged with a promising breeder she was hoping her lab could profit from and now searching for her current locale via the mapping function of a popular search engine, when even this seemed to indicate to Sophie that she had indeed arrived at where she was supposed to, the young woman sighed and for the most part resigned herself to her fate. Stood before a suburban abode and wondering how to approach it, whilst she had expected to find and inviting shop door or rustic ranch arch, a simple front door proved an unexpectedly intimidating prospect for the young professor as she waited for a few seconds before gathering her courage.
No time like the present, I suppose? Nodding and lifting a hand to her chest as she steeled her resolve, while a part of Miss Sequoia was starting to suspect she was the victim of a minor mischief she shook away her doubt enough to move forwards and approach the supposed breedery in front of her.
I’ll definitely have to get to the bottom of this… Striding up the path toward the surface that barred her entry with a sense of determination that made her heels jab into the floor beneath her, after clearing her throat Sophie approached the front door of her invited locale and rapped firmly upon it with her knuckles, hoping she was not about to be greeted by the guffaw of a teen with too much time on his hands…
