Terrain: Industrial
Dahlia had heard some weird noises coming from the alley behind where her Pharmacy was set up; she couldn't tell what it was exactly, but it sounded like some stray Pokemon causing a ruckus of some sort. At first, she had intended to just ignore it and keep working, but the more it went on, the harder it became to ignore it. Thus, she grabbed a few of her Pokemon and decided to check it out. If it meant she was going to have to chase off the Pokemon herself, she was going find what was causing these disturbances and put an end to it.
Of course, There was always a chance of running into a Pokemon worth catching. To that end, she made sure to stock up on some empty Poke Balls. She had plenty of Poison-types that she could use in her lab, but she didn't have many that were fit for battling. Given that she was a Gym Leader now, she should probably try to fix that. And if she remembered correctly, there were a few Poison-types that could potentially be found around here depending on the time of day. Maybe she could kill two birds with one stone...

As she walked down the alley, she came across at least one of the Pokemon who was making a bunch of noise, though it soon became clear that it was far from the only one. Well, at least it'd be one less loud Pokemon to deal with. Then she noticed what the Pokemon was; a Togedemaru. Of course it would be a Steel-type that she, the Poison-type expert, would run into. Of course, she had the perfect Pokemon for dealing with such a threat, so she wasn't too concerned over the Type. All the same though, this was already a sign that it would be one of those days.
"Pheromone...let's do this." Grabbing a Poke Ball, she sent out her Salandit, who immediately prepared for battle upon seeing the hyperactive rodent spinning around and crashing into all sorts of things. Apparently, this was its idea of fun, and normally she wouldn't mind, if it weren't for the way its metallic quills kept making a sharp grating sound as they scraped against the sides of the building. Nails on a chalkboard would be a step down from this. "Use flamethrower, but...try to hold back a little. Don't wanna hurt it too badly."
The Salandit nodded, shooting a stream of flames from her mouth at the Togedemaru, but holding back enough to reduce the damage by about two thirds. That said, between the overall power of the attack and the Togedemaru's Type Disadvantage, it was still quite effective against the rodent. The Togedemaru was understandably upset at its fun being interrupted, and went on the attack, firing a blast of electricity in all directions; as if the narrow alley didn't make dodging the attack hard enough. Still, the Salandit took the hit like a champ.
"Tch...forget what I said earlier...I didn't think it'd be this strong. Use Flamethrowr; full power!" The Salandit nodded, inhaling deeply and letting loose a much stronger jet of flames from her mouth at the spiky rodent. This time around, the damage was much greater, and the Togedemaru was barely hanging on after the attack. Rather than try to continue fighting, the Togedemaru decided to do the smart thing and run off. Dahlia felt a little bad, but at least it'll think twice about making so much noise...at least, around here anyway.

Ugh. Another Steel-type. And apparently this one had just learned Metal Sound and was the type who couldn't wait to show off its new skill, because it was going around and doing nothing but use Metal Sound. Forget nails on a chalkboard. This was like steel claws scraping against a sheet of metal. Even being a good distance away from it, it was enough to send chills down her spine; and definitely not in a good way. Almost instantly, she called out to her Salandit, who was still out of her Poke Ball from the previous battle.
"For the love of all that is holy, use Flamethrower and make it stop!"
The Salandit nodded, shooting a jet of flames at the Pawniard, though the small Pokemon noticed at the last second and was able to dodge the attack. Glaring at the Salandit, the Pawniard immediately extended it's blade-like limbs, which let off a bright shine as it ran forward and tried to claw at the Salandit with them. It inflicted a little damage, though it was mitigated by the Salandit having a resistance to moves like Metal Claw. Dahlia let out a sigh. She had hoped to avoid a battle, but at least it wasn't making that godawful noise anymore.
"Pheromone, come here for a moment..." The Salandit nodded, returning to her trainer's side. From there, Dahlia would produce a super potion from a pocket in her coat and spray the Salandit with it; she'd taken a bit of damage from that last battle; last thing she wanted was for the damage to suddenly catch up with her while fighting this opponent. Once healed up, the grateful Salandit moved in, ready to resume battling. The Pawniard, confused as to what it just saw, simply responded by rushing forward as its blades let out a bright crimson blow.
"...that could be bad...Pheromone, don't let it attack again! Use Flamethrower!" Fury Cutter was a move where the damage doubled with each hit. It didn't do much right now, but it could very quickly add up if she isn't careful. Beter to just nip it at the bud now. Salandit attacked with another jet of flames, and this time, the Pawniard didn't have enough time to dodge. The damage was devastating, to the point where it proceeded to give up and run away instantly. "...well that was a little anti-climactic..." Dahlia sighed. "Oh well."

Deciding to give her Salandit a much-deserved rest, Dahlia decided to continue along, as there were still a few Pokemon making a bunch of noise. Granted, that Bisharp had easily been one of the worst ones. Truth be told, she could've gone back now and would've been more than content for the rest of the day since the two biggest offenders had been dealt with. But there were still a couple Pokemon making loud noises, and she felt compelled to follow through and see her endeavor to the end. In other words, stubborn pride was getting in the way.
The next Pokemon was a Timburr. It wasn't on the same level as the previous two Pokemon, but it was still being rather noisy, jumping around and loudly boasting to anyone within earshot about how strong they are. Or at least, that's what Dahlia came to assume, based on how the Fighting-type was carrying itself. It looked at Dahlia, and seemed to be expecting something, and let out a huff when she responded with an unimpressed look. As such, the Pokemon decided the only to double down on the boasting. Dahlia sighed.
"Alright then...if it's a challenge you want, then it's a challenge you'll get." With a nod, she grabbed a Poke Ball and sent out her Oddish, who looked around the field quietly before realizing what was going on and preparing for a battle. Initially, the Timburr was extremely unimpressed with the small Pokemon, which quickly changed once it noticed the fire in her eyes. Dahlia took advantage of this moment of hesitation to make the first move, calling out to her Oddish. "Now, Mandrake! Use Moonblast!" The Oddish nodded quietly.
Despite it being bright and sunny outside, the small Pokemon still managed to gather a large amount of lunar energy, forming into a large orb. Said orb of energy was then launched at the Timburr, who could only stand there in awe at such a big attack coming from such a small Pokemon. The damage was quite staggering, which even further compacted onto the Timburr's surprise. The Fighting-type immediately retaliated with a powerful slap, but the Oddish's resistance allowed her to take the hit surprisingly well.
"Now use Giga Drain!" The Oddish nodded, forming another orb and launching; this one being of a light-green energy. Upon hitting the Timburr, he could feel his life force being drained by the Oddish. Though it still had some strength left, all motivation to continue the fight was gone. This had been a humbling experience for the Fighting-type, who was now realizing that she wasn't the strongest. However, she gave a nod of thanks to Dahlia and her Oddish. Now that she knew she had room to improve, she would go a (hopefully much quieter) quest to improve.
Dahlia blinked. She hadn't intended for the fight to be so inspirational, considering all she wanted was for the Timburr to shut up. But, ultimately, she couldn't complain about the result. And there was a small part of her that wouldn't mind catching that Pokemon, should they ever cross paths again. For now, she was just happy it wasn't making as much of a racket.

It seemed a lot of the noise was gone now. What little there was was pretty far enough away that it wouldn't bother her back at her gym. With a content sigh, Dahlia was prepared to head back to her clinic, though it seemed she wasn't done encountering Pokemon yet. Before her stood a Duosion, one that had seen Dahlia's battles and mistakenly came to the impression that it would be next. As such, it was already on the defensive by the time that Dahlia noticed it was even there. Since it didn't look like it'd be letting her go, Dahlia saw no choice but to fight.
Of course, being a Poison-type expert, she was at a severe disadvantage against a Psychic-type. Especially one that was already evolved. Which is why it was a good thing she brought more than just Poison-types with her. "Tochukaso, you're up!" Tossing out a Poke Ball, her Paras emerged, who looked around curiously. Just as she realized what was going on, the Duosion went on the attack, releasing a strange wave of energy. To be honest, Dahlia wasn't sure what it was, and had no way of knowing that healing effects were disabled.
Rather, she had every intention of going on the offensive for this battle. "Tochukaso, use Fury Cutter!" It was the same attack that the Pawniard had tried to use against her Salandit. The key difference, however, was that since the Duosion was weak to it, it would actually be effective. Her claws letting off a crimson glow, the Paras leaped forward and slashed at the Duosion with them. The attack was extremely effective, though the Psychic-type was still standing even in spite of the damage it'd taken. And it was upset.
The Duosion unleashed a wave of psychic energy, though it ultimately ended up not doing a whole lot of damage. attacks with random effects like Psywave were always risky, which was why Dahlia disliked them. She wanted to be sure it would have the best effect. With a nod, she called out to her Paras once more. "Use Fury Cutter one more time!" The Paras nodded, her claws letting out an even brighter glow than before. With each hit, the attack was more powerful than before, and it showed. With a swift slash, the battle was done.
The Duosion was way past its limits and was barely able to stay awake long enough to realize it'd been defeated. And yet, Dahlia saw potential. Not only would a Psychic-type not be good to keep on hand for catching more Poison-types, but she'd always wanted to analyze the gelatinous substance it coats itself in to see if it could have any medicinal purposes. With a smile and a nod, she grabbed an empty Great Ball and tossed it at the weakened Psychic-type. It seemed this outing would be worthwhile after all...

All was quiet now, and Dahlia was happy. Admittedly, she was slightly disappointed that she didn't run into any Poison-type Pokemon in her quest to quell the din of the alley behind her clinic, but, all the same, she finished what she came out here to do. Now she could actually focus on her work. Or take a nap. Admittedly a nap was sounding kinda nice right now. Then she could take some time to get acquainted with her new catch. She didn't know much about Psychic-types, but she could already tell it was going to be interesting.
Along the way, she spotted an Electrode rolling in the distance. It wasn't doing anything to disturb the peace though. As such, she chose not to bother it. Besides, she wasn't sure any of her Pokemon could handle a fully-evolved Pokemon. She was lucky with the Duosion, but it probably would've been a far different story had it been a Reuniclus. Either way, she was just happy to be done with this. It wasn't until after she got home and was settled in for the rest of the day that a single thought crossed her mind; one that would bug her for the rest of the day.
That Electrode better not decide to blow itself up...
