Oh you believed the "we didn't have time for Easter" story? >:DAPRIL FOOL'S!
We totally had time! From now until May 15th, you'll see a wide variety of special Bonus Spawns. Like the Delibird and Slakoth, these can appear in any Catch or Training threads (including but not limited to SF Catches, which is amusing in itself bc rabbits and the moon hehe). They're very clearly marked as bonuses with a purple box and other special layout stuff.
If you battle them, you can earn Evo Points, but they are Bonus Spawns, so they won't count against your normal word count requirement on earning them. (Ex: if you have a single spawn + an Easter bonus spawn, you still only need 350 wc to earn an extra point rather than 500 that you'd need with 2 regular spawns.) There are a LOT of different Easter friends-- bunnies, ducklings, eggs, and more-- so hopefully you guys won't get tired of them the way some of you did the poor Slakoth. Which will be good, because there is not a limit on how many times per thread they can spawn, aside from the natural limit of only up to 6 normal spawns per person. While it's unlikely you'd get 6 Easter spawns in one thread, you "could".
You can catch them if it's a Catch thread, or you can just take the Easter Eggs they're delivering and send them on their way!
These eggs will be traded for varying amount of points (orange the lowest, gold the highest, in the order shown above) and can be spent on prizes in a special Easter Shop that we'll set up later in the month! We are not assigning exactly how many points each egg is worth just yet, as we want to see how farming goes for a while to get a good idea of what will be a fair exchange to make sure people can get enough to feel satisfied but also not completely break the site economy. (Only a little broken might be fine. ;P)
You can go ahead and preview the items that will be in the shop once it's up, though, so you'll have an idea of what all you might wanna save for~ This event will run from today until May 15th, same as the Star Festival, to give folks plenty of time to save up without too much rush.

Breeding Cookie
Allows two male or two female Pokémon to breed together temporarily.
Floral Honey
Attracts a random Pokémon of the appropriate egg group to breed with.
Restorer

Caramel Apple
A tasty, irresistable classic! If you use this in a catch thread, the next spawn will be guaranteed to be an evolved Pokémon.
Wee-Dun-Noh
Whatever this is, it smells terrible, but your Pokemon are jumping for it...in fact you feels eyes on you from all over. Use it in a thread, and your next spawn will be a horde!
Nut Mix
And you thought magical cauldrons didn't give healthy treats. Luckily, you can probably use it as bait. Use when requesting a spawn, and you get a 50% chance of rolling a common Pokémon you requested. If it fails, the Pokémon spawned will be of the same type (available in the same location if possible, from a random location if not! Not usable in Safari Zone.)
Questionable Candy
What flavor is this? Seems you'll have to open it to find out... Offers a 50% chance in the Safari Zone and a 75% chance in regular areas of spotting a requested Pokémon. If you fail, a Pokémon of the same type will be spotted instead.
Forget-Me-Not
The unique fragrance of this flower can inspire a Pokemon to remember techniques forgotten generations past. With double staff approval to ensure a move isn't too unbalanced, it can be used to teach a Pokemon a move it could learn in previous games that it no longer can.
Classic Lollipop
This delicious treat reminds your Pokemon of happier times and inspires dreams of a brighter future. It causes them to remember one Egg Move!
Lollipop-Whistle
Licking and playing with this sweet toy takes your Pokémon back to it's childhood-- maybe to a better childhood than its actual one! It somehow remembers 2 egg moves it never even knew!
Cake Pop
The icing looks a bit like an egg, doesn't it? If a Pokémon eats this just before breeding, its next clutch of offspring will each have 2 Egg Moves not known by either parent.
Enigma Eclair
The hidden flavor of the cream filling gives your Pokémon an immense epiphany, unlocking its hidden ability! Works with rare Pokémon!
Training Toffee
A chewy treat that takes real determination to get through-- enough that all the effort will grant 2 evo points to a single Pokémon.
Rare Candy
You all know it. You all love it! Use this rarest of rare candies to get one free evolution! No training or items required (also ignore any cooldowns from evolving or hatching!)
Rainbow Stone
This magical stone can be substituted for any evolutionary item.
