Wild Child
While Jordyn was a bit disappointed by her poke-hunt in the meadow turned out to be a failure, the soft lush grass was starting to change just below her feet. The flowers started to become scarcer and scarcer while the grass grew longer, extending up to her knees as began to struggle to see where she was putting her feet. The savannah grassland was a welcomed change. Surely leaving behind the laid-back meadow and into the rougher savannah signaled that the pokemon would change to! Tougher living situations meant that they're had to be more worthy pokemon around that could be a better fit for her team.
"Ares," She looked back at her great big fire-hound, beckoning him forward with her hand. Pandora was still situated on top of his head, enjoying the ride in the comfort of his fur. Blue had returned back to her pokeball for a nap after stuffing her beak filled with delicious berries from the meadow. Ares strode forward and bent down in front of her, allowing her smaller frame to climb on top of his massive body. Jordyn grabbed at his fur and hoisted herself up, getting comfortable on his back. Pandora scurried down from the top of his head, finding a new spot in-between Jordyn's legs.
"Let's hope we have better luck our here than ugly ducklings and weak bugs." She murmured, keeping her eyes peeled for any signs of movements.

Wild Child
It didn't take long for Jordyn to spot a pokemon up upon Ares' back. It was a pokemon she had never seen before - its brown portly body was rolled over, wiggling its backside in the dry earth as if taking a sand bath. It was easy to tell from its spotting and the way its husk was that it had to be a either a ground type or a rock type.
Ares had spotted the pokemon as well, halting in his steps and looking back at Jordyn from the corner of his eyes. He had lowered his body slightly, trying to keep them from being noticed.
Jordyn had pulled out her pink pokedex; the newest model that her mother had gifted her before she left. She lowered the volume, making sure to keep it from alerting the pokemon of her presence. Immediately it chimed once she pointed at the strange creature, "Hippopotas, the Hippo pokemon. It shrouds itself in sand to protect itself from germs. It lives in dry arid place. Instead of perspiration, it excels grainy sand from its body. Males are tan with dark brown patches, and female's coloring is reversed."
Delight by the fact that her hopes were right, Jordyn eyed its patchings. This one was dark brown with tan patches - a female. Jordyn could definitely see her fitting right in on her team. She lacked a ground type so surely this Hippopotas would make a great addition to her team of misfits. And on top of that, she had the element of surprise.
Digging into her waistbag, Jordyn dug out Blizzard's pokeball. She would make this as quick and easy as possible; she didn't want to alert too many pokemon in the area encase something else good was lurking around the corner. "Blizzard, use Brine!" Jordyn tossed the pokeball into the air, causing the mechanics to trigger and release her massive Walrien. The female Hippopotas was startled as she struggled to jump back upright.
Blizzard only took a second to look down at the ground type as he opened his mouth, blasting a powerful torrent of water from in between his two massive tucks. The blast slammed against the Hippopotas as she was rolled along the ground with ease from the stream shot at her. She let out a loud bellow, taking in massive damage from the water attack. Sand started to slip from its body as a sand storm seemed to whip up out of nowhere.
Jordyn wasted no time in tossing her a pokeball at the injured pokemon. Surely Hippopotas didn't want to make it harder on herself, right? She was coming whether she liked it or not.

Wild Child
A flutter of excitement rushed over Jordyn once the pokeball popped open, sucking the Hippopotas inside. The device wiggled three times before ceasing, a little ding sounded off signaling the sound of a successful capture. Jordyn immediately rushed over, picking it up in her hands, her eyes shining with success. Her first capture in this new region meant a lot to her - prove that maybe she can change her life around and just be a successful pokemon trainer. Maybe it was as easy as being a thief, but with much less legal risks involved. Placing the pokeball away, she turned her head upon hearing the shuffling of Blizzard across the ground.
A grin spread across her lips as the massive pokemon blundered towards her – she meant him half way. She wrapped her arms around him as he let out a happy bellow, nuzzling her affectionately. Blizzard always had a special place in her heart – after all she did raise him from a defenseless little Spheal to now this strong and fearless Walrein. It was an amazing journey and their bond would forever be strong.
“You’ve done well, Blizzard.” She cooed, rubbing her fingers through his white mane.
While Jordyn was busy gushing over her pokemon, she hadn’t notice the large bird pokemon eyeing them from a distance. But it didn’t keep itself unnoticed. A large squeak from one head sounded off, catching everyone’s attention. But it wasted no time in allowing them to figure out what was going on, the Dodrio charged at incredible speeds. In almost a blink of an eye, it had closed the gap between itself and the group, its main head parted open in a terrifying screech.
No one had time to react – no one but Ares. His lips pulled back into a snarl, Ares intercepted the attack on Jordyn and Blizzard, standing between them and the Dodrio with his body standing tall. For a moment, a look of fear flashed upon two of the Dodrio’s faces. Yet one of the heads’ face remained unchanged, its expression engulfed in rage. It reared its main head back and plucked Ares. The sharp beak caused Ares to wince, but he never flattered in his attempt at protecting his trainer.
Ares leaped at Dodrio, his fangs encased in a dim light of darkness. He parted his jaws and clamped down upon one of the Dodrio’s three necks. All heads squawked in pain as his fangs broke the skin of the Dodrio, the taste of the bird pokemon flooded the canine’s mouth.
Now even more enraged and in pain, the two Dodrio heads started to peck at Ares who was still clinging onto the Dodrio, trying to bring it down. But it was getting unbearable trying to hang on while two sharp beaks pecked and pulled at his skin. When one of them aimed at his eye, he was forced to let go.
“Ares, use Flamethrower!” Jordyn’s voice filled his ears and he instinctively obeyed the command. He parted his massive jaws, showing a ball of fire rolling around in the base of his throat. With little effort at all, he released it and a stream of fire burst from his mouth. The Dodrio cried in agony as the flames charred at its feathers. When the flames ceased, Dodrio quickly retaliated, still full of rage.
Dodrio leaped in the air and came down towards Ares, its three heads all pointed at the fire hound while spinning rapidly like a power drill. Ares had no time to dodge as Dodrio stabbed him with its many beaks. Ares roared in pain, pushing hard against the Dodrio that tried to pin him down. “Show him real rage, Ares.” Jordyn clenched her fists. This thing was really strong – she surely had to have it. But first – they would reach it a lesson. “Outrage!"
Something clicked in Ares’ head at the command. His eyes glowed a bloodshot red along with a red aura encasing his body. He erupted in a loud roar as he threw Dodrio off of him. Dodrio was thrown off guard and Ares quickly used that to his advantage, slamming his jaws shut on the lead head of the Dodrio – the one that’s face was filled with rage. Ares stood on his hid legs, lifting the Dodrio off of the ground and slamming him back down to the earth. Ares did this several times, ignoring the cries of pain that came form all heads until finally the Dodrio fell silent and still – unconscious and probably close to death.
“Ares, enough!” Ares looked back at Jordyn, his lips parted slightly as the rage still engulfed him. He growled lightly, but Jordyn looked at Ares unfazed as she moved closer to him. “I said enough…you’ve done good boy.” She reached out to touch him, as she had done many times when she first had to teach him to control his outrage. Ares seemed to calm, his body releasing as the glow of red started to diminish. Jordyn allowed him a moment to calm as she reached for a great ball, tossing it at the Dodrio.

OH NO! The Pokémon escaped! You need an ultra ball for this Pokemon as it is considered fully evolved. If you buy an ultra ball, feel free to re-mod summon for a catch. Otherwise respawn for a new Pokemon.

Wild Child
The pokeball had popped open, releasing the barely conscious Dodrio. It threw them a hard look but scurried off into the brush – weak and injured. Jordyn couldn’t help but feel like that wasn’t the last of it. Returning to Ares, she brushed his mane gently as he returned to his calm composure. There was never any doubt in Ares abilities, but still Jordyn was amazed she had raised such a strong and powerful Arcanine. They had been together the longest and their bond was something that Jordyn knew she was never going to be able to find again in another pokemon. She just hoped she’d be able to successful make unique bonds with every new capture and find their own path in this world. She had to set her apart from other trainers – she wanted to be the best, not just average. The journey would be a long one.
Jordyn returned Blizzard to his pokeball as their resumed their path. She was just going to try to look for one more pokemon, then they would retire for the evening. It had been a long journey to get her and she still needed to find a hotel for the night somewhere in town.
It wasn’t too long that they came across a body sprawled out along the dry savanna. As they got closer, Jordyn’s eyes were widened at the sight. It was a little fire cub laid out on the ground, its body covered in scraps and scratches. Confused, Jordyn pulled out her pink pokedex and pointed it at the creature. A holographic image popped up before her before a robotic female voice started speaking clearly, “Litleo, the lion cub pokemon. When they’re young, they live with a pride. Once they are able to hunt prey on their own, they are kicked out to live on their own. This hot-blooded pokemon is filled with curiosity. When it gets angry or starts fighting, it short mane gets hot.”
Jordyn jumped off Ares back as she rushed over to the pokemon. She bent down, picking up the barely moving little scrap of fur. It looked badly beaten and Jordyn couldn’t help but feel like that Dodrio had something to do with it. Why was it so angry though? “Hey little guy…oh, you’re a girl.” Jordyn shifted it in her arms gently, but even the tiniest movement caused it to moan in pain. “We can’t leave you out here.” Jordyn turned to look at Ares, the fire hound had move closer to inspect the small bundle in her arms. It wrecked of blood and the smell of that Dodrio. No doubt that bird-brain was the cause of this.
“You have to come with us…don’t worry, I’ll get you to a pokemon center as soon as possible.” Jordyn whispered softly to the Litleo, pulling out a pokeball and tapping it gently against its head, activating its capture functions.
