Such a heavenly view, You're such a heavenly view She'd been away from Veria for several months now, and it was nice to be back. She was also pleased to see that the Star Festival was on when she returned. It seemed like it had been running for a week or two now, meaning she still had plenty of time to enjoy the festivities. She'd seen posters that the festival was hosting a contest as well. It was something she was planning to check out, regardless of if she decided to participate in it or not. It could be fun to just be in the audience and watch for once instead of trying to perform. She'd just arrived in town and had planned on stopping by her ranch while she was here. Her brother wanted her to take it back, but she wasn't sure if she wanted to or not at this point. She might just leave it to him, or sell it off, or something. She'd sleep on it at least twice before making a decision, maybe take the week. For the time being, she stretched, letting the late afternoon air cool her from the stuffy trip back to Veria. She wanted to wander the areas that the festivities were being held before she did anything else, despite the fact she still had her large pink suitcase with her. Her white pleated skirt ruffled in the refreshing breeze, and she had to push her hair out of her face to get a better look at the area. It was a similar style of setup as last time, the first time, the festival had been here. The streets were lit with hanging lanterns, and little booths for food and games and prizes littered the sides. She spied a vendor that was selling fried foods, and eyed it hungrily, wondering how much change she had left in her little purse. She'd pull it out of her pocket and pop it open with one hand, pleasantly surprised to see that she had more than she thought she did. That made up her mind, and she strode over to the vendor, getting one order of a large milkshake, - cause apparently they had them - two orders of fried shrimp, and one order of deep fried cheesecake, much to her delight. She found herself thinking it was very likely that she would come back to this vendor later, and went to find a place to sit, munching away happily with her arms full of food. MY ACTIONS WILL SPEAK FOR ME AND NOTHING YOU SAY WILL BE MORE LOUD ☼ Today was a considerable improvement, but he still felt a tad overwhelmed by everything. He'd spent so much time in his room, working on a project that he was forgetting more and more often to go outside and do stuff. But he'd also wound up traveling a good bit out from Carrefor a few times while recovering. It was good to try and get some experience in for his Pokemon, especially how much he had neglected training them in the time he had locked his self away.
Malik carefully bought a small strawberry banana smoothie, as well as some food for his Nidoqueen and Sandshrew to munch on. Both Sahara and Victoria had been out of their pokeballs and walking with him for almost all this time, and if he was hungry, he supposed they were as well. He didn't get too much time to think on it though, because as he placed down the food for Sahara to eat, he noticed a Sandshrew had wandered from his vision.
Frowning, he placed Victoria's food down as well and started scanning the area, his face returning to flat when he spotted the missing Pokemon waddling up behind another person. Malik quickly placed his drink down with Sahara and walked over to the Sandshrew, who was now sniffing at the trainer's leg cautiously, as much as she could. "Victoria. Estas siendo desconsiderado." He finally voiced, scolding her in his usual, too-quiet-to-really-be-scolding-anything voice and watched as she curled up in a ball, turning to roll away from him and right over to her food, starting to eat like nothing had ever happened.
He looked to the trainer and immediately regretted the decision. Embarrassment walked right up to him and slapped him across his face, and he felt his face turning a darker shade of brown the longer he looked at her. This was terrible, why were his Pokemon like this at literally the most inconvenient times? "I'm sorry. I hope she didn't bother you too much." Malik apologized softly, rubbing at his arm while looking to double check that Victoria hadn't wandered off to bug another trainer while he was busy apologizing for her. And there she was, eating, quietly, minding her own business while Sahara looked down at her like a scolding mother.
At least that was still normal. NOTES: RIP. Death by shame ☼ TAGS:@honokasato

Such a heavenly view, You're such a heavenly view She's been munching away happily on her fried shrimp, and was just taking a long drag of her milkshake when she felt something brush her legs lightly. There was a Sandshrew, it seemed, who was curious about the blonde. Honoka swallowed and gave it a friendly grin. Curious Pokemon were always a delight to deal with, though she knew first hand just how much of a handful they could be when they got too curious. A simple, soft, "Hello there," was all she managed to the little tan pokemon before whom she assumed to be its trainer approached and said something Honoka didn't understand. She assumed he was addressing the Pokemon, as he also called it 'Victoria' before saying anything else. It could have been a reprimand as much as anything for all she knew. And then the little Sandshrew curled up and rolled away. It was pretty adorable. The other trainer turned to her, then, to apologize. Honoka smiled at him reassuringly and shook her head. "Nothing to worry about, honestly. She didn't bother me at all. I'm a little used to it, actually. Strange Pokemon approach me all the time, though as a Breeder, sometimes I know them already from visits to my ranch." She chuckled lightly, glancing curiously at the other Pokemon the Sandshrew had gone over to. The other appeared to be almost scolding it, but the Sandshrew didn't seem to care, making Honoka huff a small laugh out of her nose. "It's nice to meet you, and Victoria too," she grinned up at him. "Isn't the festival delightful? I'm so glad to see it has spread around Veria now. Oh, my name is Honoka, I should probably mention that." She smiled a little sheepishly at having forgotten to introduce herself initially, though how did one do that in situations like this, really? "Sorry, I just got back to Veria, and I'm a little out of practice at being social."Words: 341 | Notes: | Tag: Malik

MY ACTIONS WILL SPEAK FOR ME AND NOTHING YOU SAY WILL BE MORE LOUD ☼ Malik watched his Pokemon closely, drawing both of his thick lips between his teeth, chewing softly in a nervous tick as the other woman spoke. He just barely caught the end of the first thing she said, something about a ranch, when his attention snapped back to her. Oh no, he got distracted, that was rude. He kept his mouth the way it was for a while until she gave her name, and an apology.
He felt kind of bad for her having to apologize about being social when there he was, the walking epitome of a social wreck. Letting out a quiet noise, he looked back to Honoka and gave her a quiet nod. "Malik" His voice remained soft, his eyes still not meeting hers directly, but rather the features of her face as he spoke to her. He was pulled away from the awkward moment by his Nidoqueen offering him his smoothie. Oh right, he should eat that before it gets too warm.
Taking it from his Nidoqueen, he took a drink and she gave a short nod, going back to her own food. "That's ok. You're fine. Really." He took a deep breath, looking around at the festival. "I... don't know what to think of it. I've only been in this region for a month or two." He was still soft voiced as he spoke to her, his words threatened to be drowned out by the surrounding noise of other people and their Pokemon. He took a drink to shut his self up and looked down at Victoria, who had finished her food and now sat next to his leg, slowly inching her way towards Honoka to try and investigate her some more. Such a heavenly view, You're such a heavenly view She nodded in understanding of his being new to Veria, taking another drag of her milkshake as well. "Yeah, Veria can be...daunting, to say the least. Especially with what happened here as of late, and the whole thing with the dead zone in Alterna, and everything. It's a nice place, though, as a whole." She gave a casual shrug. "It can get kinda noisy, huh?" She smiled at him again, the smile extending to the sandshrew who crept forward once more to sniff her legs. "She was named Victoria, you said?" She reached a hand out toward the sandshrew, leaving it by her legs for the Pokemon to sniff as well. "She seems awfully sweet. A little like one of my own Pokemon."Words: 142 | Notes: | Tag: Malik

MY ACTIONS WILL SPEAK FOR ME AND NOTHING YOU SAY WILL BE MORE LOUD ☼ "Dead zone?" There was a dead zone? What kind of dead zone, what was she talking about, he blinked and had already finished his smoothie, he hadn't been paying attention to how much he was drinking as an excuse to not say anymore than he had to say. His eyes fixed onto Victoria and her advancements towards the other human. "Very." He was willing to answer the noisy thing. But what's noisy to a person who can be overloaded simply by someone talking too much.
Victoria took advantage of the hand and tilted her head upwards to it, sniffing in quick little huffs to pick up as much scent as possible before the possibility of the hand being taken away became a reality. "Yea. Victoria." He and his Nidoqueen watched the Sandshrew closely as she had moved to where she was now sitting next to Honoka's leg, staring up at her. "Sometimes too sweet for her own good. But yea." NOTES: notes ☼ TAGS:@honokasato
