The old Pahla ruins was just about the most beautiful ghost town Skylar had ever seen, not even the old burned down mansion at the cinnabar islands could match the kind of ethereal beauty this place had. Just about every inch of the buildings on site were wrapped in flora and littered with fauna in the form of pokemon roaming around so freely. Skye was in the process of preparing his camera for a wide assortment of land/cityscaping shots as well as any shots he can get of pokemon in the wild. That wasn't the only reason why he was here, Skye had a sense of adventure that was in dire need of being invigorated. He wanted to see what was there and what he could possibly find, he did here treasure hunters blow by the area.
The blue haired young man stopped to get a sense of the area, it was so tranquil and pacifying. The only things he could hear was pokemon cries and the babbling of a nearby stream that must've been created after the floods rolled into the city. There the sensation that was similar to that of being water, like water ebbing and flowing. Washing over him and just floating on, if more places were like this he'd probably sleep easier after leaving it.
That wasn't to say all of this area was peaceful, underneath the calm was the shell of what this place once was. He could sense tremors of what was once a city, he could hear voices casually speaking but not understanding the words. Could feel the air brush past him as it would when people would walk past one another. In between those layers was a grey area, that was where he could faintly pick up distress. Skylar surmised that it was the remnants of the high emotions of the event of the flooding that imprinted into the very earth. But it wasn't just that either, he could sense trauma that wasn't already tied to the flood.
They take, they hurt, wild pokemon.
Some adventurers no doubt have met unfortunate fates here, fates not necessarily meaning deaths but he could feel those that were less fortunate. Robbers and strong wild pokemon, he did hear warnings that this place wasn't completely safe. Skye would just have to be extremely careful, relatively speaking he would be fine.
Although he might be mistaken for a ghost. Again.
The camera was ready, his settings anticipating sun spots and dark areas. He left the flash in his bag, Arceus knows what would happen to him if he used it here with so many wild pokemon out and about. Skye continued his walk down a vine ensnared path, the vegetation underneath him made squishing sounds with every step he took. It was probably oversaturated with water, some places were still flooded. This area was still walkable but he heard there some areas that needed boats because the water was so deep. Good thing he decided on boots versus sneakers, they certainly would've been ruined. For a moment, Skye found himself alone in the vast jungle of a ruin. That is, until he could sense that familiar buzzing in his head.
Damn it.
