So much walking around, it was starting to hurt a girls feet. Ximena huffed as she trudged her way to main gate of the fairgrounds, she needed a lil bit of a breaky break. Which would come in the form of a cigarette, she didn't really smoke often but when she's in a particular mood she got a bad craving for it. Once she made her way out of the fairgrounds she leaned against a chain link fence, she pulled out a pack of smokes called ‘Harlequin’ and grabbed one from inside the packet. She placed the carton back into her jacket and retrieved her zippo lighter, it had a charmander painted on so when it was opened the piece where flames emitted was the charmanders tail. She lit the smoke stick and took a quick puff from it, she wasn’t into feeling it just doing it to fill a quota.
She wondered where she could go now? It probably wouldn’t be so boring if she had someone to hang out with. Then maybe she could go to the Star festival party that some peeps put together at one of the clubs in Liggs. She could go for some fun and a little dancing, might have some good drinks in there as well. Perhaps she could drag someone from the festival here to go with her. After all a club was no fun if you went all alone.

Alek normally wasn't one for festivities; he normally steered clear of a lot of things like this, and just avoided the hype and the bull that tended to come with it. However, he'd recently come to the conclusion that the path he had chosen--both photography and coordinating--sort of depended on this side of things if he wanted to go anywhere with his chosen trades. So, the young man decided to suck it up and be social for awhile. To be honest, it wasn't that bad, and he could tolerate this for awhile.
But he eventually grew tired of walking, and just needed to relax. Crowds could be really draining, especially when they weren't there to see him. That part, he could easily get used to, because it was a part of performing, and he was seeking their adoration. But this crowd? All he sought from them was that they got the hell out of his way. So, once he felt he'd gotten his share of the activities, and of course name dropped a little bit when he could--can't be famous if they don't know who you are, after all--he made his way to the exit.
With a sigh, he took a breath of fresh air. Then turned back toward the fairgrounds, pulling the camera hanging around his neck up to his face and snapping a quick picture of all the bright lights. That'd be a nice souvenir. Then, he turned, leaning back against the chain-link fence, and took another deep breath of....
Smoke? He coughed a bit, then looked over to see a young woman not far from him smoking. Well that was kind of embarrassing. He hadn't even noticed until...oh well.
Alek looked over at the stranger after he'd cleared his throat a little. "Too much excitement for you too, huh?" he asked casually, flashing her his usual smirk.

As she took another puff from her cigarette, she heard someone coughing. She knew it wasn't herself because, well she didn't cough with such a deep voice. She turned to see a young blonde standing at her side. A cute blonde at that, she smiled at him and changed the cigarette to her hand that was furthest away from him. As he spoke she could tell he sounded...tired, or even bored. Guess he had his fill of fun, which was the exact same sentiments he shared onto her. She laughed a little and nodded.
"Yeah, festivals are fun fer couple and children. After a while you've done all ya can ya know?"
She turned her head to smoke and exhale once again, not really letting the smoke sit in her lungs for too long. She looked and saw a camera, ooh so he was a photographer. She looked back at him curiously.
"You a photographer? I'm surprised you sound like ya ain't had a good time. Girls should've been swarmin' ya." She snorted before going on again. "Name's Cam, what about you hun?"
He smiled back as he looked at her; the young man had to admit, she seemed interesting. Not like most of those boring girls he usually saw running around.
"Yeah...I admit these things aren't typically a solo activity. So I usually don't go." He gave a light shrug, thankful she'd swapped hands, not that he would have left if she didn't. If that had been the case, he would have just moved to the other side and gotten the chance to look at her from another angle.
"Yeah, I'm a photographer. That's mostly why I came. Take pictures, maybe make a little money while I'm at it. He sighed lightly, looking at her, but then glancing at the sky.
"It was fun for awhile, I just don't do this sort of thing very often. Festivities aren't usually my forte." When she mentioned that girls should have been swarming him, he let out an ungentlemanly snort. "Ha! I wish..." Alek followed that up with a dry laugh. "Nice to meet ya. I'm Alek." He leaned back against the fence, looking straight ahead, but keeping her in his peripheral vision.
"So what about you? Why are you out here alone instead of enjoying the fun?" he asked, looking at her curiously.
