Alek normally didn't do professional photo-shoots; usually he either did sessions for families and/or their Pokemon, or he stuck to taking pictures of nature or his own Pokemon to sell. But apparently, word travels fast and someone put a word in for him to do a modeling shoot and, not being one to turn down a logical paycheck, the young man packed what he'd needed and made his way to Faraday City, post haste.
It was a much nicer setup than he was used to, to be honest, but maybe it was a sign that he was moving up in the world. Or it was just a happy little fluke, but either way, he wasn't going to complain about the paycheck. The young man was dressed in a royal purple hoodie over a black dress shirt and slacks, and though he had a nice camera on a tripod, he still had his usual camera hanging around his neck. He used the good one for more professional settings, but he kept the one he used in the field at arm's reach at all times. Never knew when he might need it, after all.
Despite the higher prestige than usual, it looked to be a fairly basic shoot; from what he understood, she'd come out in something trendy, and he'd snap pictures, then she'd change, and repeat. Easy peasy. He hoped.

Sam was in a seperate room fixing her wig. Most studios for modelling gigs tended to just be one big room with small partitions and the like, with a makeup table not far from the shoot to save on time, but given Sam's unique circumstances she liked the extra bit of privacy. She fixed the last few red strands under her wig and tested her ears, smirking as she often did as she flexed the subtler muscles in her head to make the feline ears of her wig move up and down and left and right. With some genuine assurance that she was settled, she got up and walked out in her first outfit, smiling at everyone who was on the shoot today, including the new face.
"Oh hey.~ Alek right?" Cat tended to like it if her Manager gave a new photographer a 'shot' now and then, helped her feel less 'elite' for starters and more generally just that she was helping give newcomers to the game a shot. "You done much like this before?" Cat tilted her head to the side, her feline ears twitchig subtly and her yellow eyes with slit pupils focused on him a little more sharply, her contacts helping even her eyes appear more feline.

To be quite honest, Alek didnt' really keep up with any of the latest fashion trends or models or anything like that. He knew enough about Cat to know that this could be a great opportunity if he didn't screw it up, but beyond that it was just another day on the job.
What he didn't expect was for her to come out and be so friendly and approachable. He'd been expecting today to be just business, but in all fairness, it was a pleasant surprise. Oftentimes people just wanted to get this over with and go about their lives, but this was different. He smiled; more often than not, even the everyday people he normally worked with didn't bother to learn his name.
"Hey, and guilty as charged," he replied. "Not of this magnitude, no," he said honestly, brushing a lock of blonde hair out of his face. "Normally I end up doing family portraits or wildlife shots, but sometimes a little change can be good for ya," he flashed a friendly smile as he finished preparations.

Cat wasn't all that worried when he said it was practically his first time for this kind of stuff, and while she instinctually wanted to offer some advice, she knew he was more the expert than she was. With a soft smile her ears just flicked up and she adjusted the edges of her jacket. 'Cat's' fashion sense was a lot different than Sam's, and while she did like the jacket, the colors were a bit brighter than she was used to wearing in her normal life, so the tiniest part of her always felt sorta displaced when wearing this stuff, though sinking a little deeper into her Cat persona tended to help.
"Well I'm sure you'll do great. The rest of the team's very accomodating to the new crew usually, so if you think we should try a different backdrop or heck, even if you think my makeup isn't quite right, just say okay?~ No need to be nervous or anything...oh!" She did turn around to his side, pointing so his eyes could follow to a woman in a suit and glasses talking to someone who was sorting out some outfits. "If she gives you death glares or anything, don't worry, she's my manager and she just likes to keep things to a schedule."

Despite being relatively new to this environment, the young photographer seemed rather comfortable. Easy-going, well-mannered and laid back without being naive or nonchalant about it. He was attentive, and focused on what he would be doing nonetheless; it was just another day on the job, aside from the fact that a beautiful model was talking to him, that is. But alas, he was on the clock, and as such, Alek kept it professional.
"Sounds good; thanks for the heads up. Though I'm not liable to say anything unless it's horrible; I'm not really a judge on this kind of thing," he said with a slight chuckle. "Don't worry though; I'll make you look good. Not that that's hard to do," he complimented, hoping he wasn't being too cheesy or anything. His bright blue eyes followed the direction of the point as he continued to listen.
"Got it; I won't take anything personally," he said with a nod. Usually, he was used to being rushed by some stuck-up Mom or something like that, but he wasn't about to bring that up right now. Alek really didn't stick to any strict schedules, but he at least tried to make his shoots as quick and efficient as he could. He looked around the studio and saw everything seemed to be in order, so he just kept at the ready, waiting for the go ahead, though he was kind of enjoying the pre-shoot conversation. That didn't always happen, after all.

Smirking at the boy and glad to hear he felt he'd do okay with the whole thing, Cat's ears perked up as someone called her name. Of course they didn't perk up because of the sound specifically, but she'd had a lot of time to train herself to make them do that whenever a sound caught her attention, she had to make sure the whole cat thing was as authentic as possible afterall. She turned back to the set they were using to shoot on finding they'd set up a backdrop and a few hollow props, making a wall of the studio look like a section of a bar. Cat had briefly suggested they actually go to a real bar, but with some props to hand in the studio it turned out to be way cheaper than renting out some bar. She turned her eyes back to Alek and tipped her head in the direction of the set.
"Well, best get to work.~"
Leaving him to set up any camera stuff he needed to, not really too knowledgeable about all of it, she slipped into the stool infront of the bar, resting a hand on her knee and the other arm's elbow on the bar, her chin resting on her hand and glancing across to Alek with a playful smirk, clearly already posing with the first position that came to mind, smiling as she offered a friendly reminder. "We're just doing a few glamour-style shots for the new outfits, so you can get me posin' however ya like~"
