Muse allyson hererra
Valerie Nailsworth (Pseudonym) Allysa Kingston (Formerly) Ice Queen | 27 | Female Pan |
Aleal | Gym Leader[Ice] | Author(Secretly) |
Appearance
Muse stands at about 5'5, with a rather full figure. She has long, red hair, and green eyes that are covered by thin-framed glasses. Her resting face is normally serious and at first glance she would not be seen as someone easily approachable. She rarely smiles, and when she does, it's normally more akin to a predator toying with its prey.
Her casual style, when out in public is usually pretty dressy, consisting of a blouse, sometimes open to reveal a low cut top that shows off her figure, coupled by a skirt or slacks, depending on the weather.
When at the gym, she plays up the "Ice Queen" persona for all it's worth, usually dressing in a flowing dress or gown and a tiara to pull off the look.
Regardless of where she is or how she's dressed, she carries this frigid air of confidence and style, almost giving off a chill as cold as her Pokemon type of choice.
Personality
On the surface, Muse can come across as harsh, bitter, and just plain rude at times. Short-tempered and prone to mood swings, it doesn't take a lot to set her off. She has very low patience, especially when it comes to children. Muse will not hesitate to tell you her opinion, and exactly where you can shove yours. Also, she does what she wants, when she wants, because she wants to, and dares anyone to say anything about it.
Her comments often come across as rude, snippy, or just plain vicious, though said in a normal tone of voice. In a nutshell, she doesn't seem to care whose feelings she hurts or who she steps on.
Muse's anger isn't the heated, violent rage. Instead, hers is cold; complete with an icy stare and a soft, hissing voice. This anger manifests itself in her with harsh words and a quick act of violence before walking away. Should she be followed when mad, then things explode and become unpredictable.
Pokemon and battling are two of her passions, and two of the few things that actually make her happy. A very competitive individual, she hates to lose, but she doesn't throw a temper tantrum--unless the winner rubs it in.
Under this harsh, bitter outer layer lies a woman that merely wants to be shown love. A hopeless romantic deep down, she's withdrawn and hides behind this cold isolation because of her childhood. The woman feels jealous toward happy couples, and her bad attitude becomes even worse towards them. Her dream is to find her own special someone to love, to hold, and to keep forever.
Very creative, she secretly writes romance novels under the pen-name Valerie Nailsworth. In truth, all she wants is what her characters have: Passion. Love. Happiness. She's published a few, and she normally does her writing at four in the morning when no one else is around.
Sometimes she will try to fill the void in her heart, but after, she's still empty. The only thing that can fill this void is true love, which she's sure will evade her, which is why she lives out her fantasies through her writings.
Deep down, the woman really does care, but she's scared to show the world who she really is, because from what she's seen....the sweet ones don't usually last.
History
Muse was born in Era, to Ferdinand and Dolores, and was their firstborn. A pair of successful musicians and business owners, Muse's parents were pretty well off, and seemed to have all the right connections in Era. By the time she was five, she had two younger sisters, Melody, who as then two, and Harmony, who was still a baby. While the other two needed more attention, Muse was given piano lessons, whether she liked it or not. Two years later, the twins, Chorus and Choir, were born. Two years after that, her sister Tempo, and three beyond that, her sister Symphony. When she was fourteen, her brother, Sync, was born, and her parents finally had the boy they were wanting.
Muse very quickly grew a taste of disdain for her family. The perfectionist lifestyle was burned into each and every one of the children from the time they were old enough to understand. There wasn't much room for individuality; they were told how to act, how to dress, even what they were expected to do with their lives when they grew up. No one had any say, and then the sports and music lessons. Gods, the music tutors...Piano, Guitar, Violin, flute. But Muse didn't want to do any of this. She was expected to be this great musician and teacher. But she wanted to write.
Because of this, Muse shut herself off from an early age, much preferring to spend time with her Pokemon, the one thing her parents exposed her to that she actually liked. She was very quick to act out, and was very mean to her siblings, especially her brother, whom she saw as a spoiled little brat because he was the one they really wanted.
Once grown, she found herself unable to find a job, and ended up tutoring children while still having to live with her parents. On the side, she started secretly writing fantasy novels under the name Allysa Kingston. They were a decent hit, but...not enough. Then, she tried writing more....adult-oriented novels, under the name Valerie Nailsworth, where she lived her fantasies, both romantic and just related to life in general, through the main character of her books. These took off, and she found herself making money, enough to strike out on her own, but...she still wasn't happy.
At age twenty-five, Muse had several novels under her belt, and writing more, but she still wasn't happy with her life, so she packed her bags and decided to go find herself. Since the civil war was a harsh reality, she left her Pokemon to her siblings, all save for a Piloswine. This, she would take with her. She apologized to each of them for her attitude over the years, and admitted that she....was fond of them.
On her journey, Muse found an affinity for the ice type, and settled down in Aleal, in the Veria region. Still writing under her pen-name, she realized that all she needed was to strike out on her own, to be herself, and to get out from under the iron thumb of her family. Recently, she worked her way up to becoming the Ice-type Gym leader, and despite still keeping up that proverbial wall of ice...she's happy.

Skills (3/11)
Endurance(Major): An Endurance Major can take a surprising amount of damage (several deep cuts or breaks, or even a few mid-strength Pokémon attacks) and force themselves to keep going forward. This can apply to during a battle where they don’t back down or after when dealing with the resulting problems. They may be able to push themselves for miles upon miles on a broken leg to complete their goal.
Muse spent a lot of time looking for Ice-typed Pokemon in their native environment, as such, her body's built up a resistance to the cold climates they thrive in.
Athleticism(Minor): An Athleticism Minor can carry about 75lbs (34kg) comfortably, lift around 150lbs (68kg) in a short burst (such as to move an object out of one's path), and probably crack some bones with relative ease. They can aim a bit better and push themselves a bit longer than a normal person, achieve some more advanced yoga positions, and perform some free-running or parkour. In a straight line they can maintain speeds of 5-10mi (8-16km) per hour for some time, and might hit 13mph (21km) for a few seconds under high stress.
Muse's body is decently fit, having gone through the endless onslaught of tennis, self-defense, swimming, and even basketball tutors as a kid. Though she hasn't actually done any of these in awhile, her body is still in relatively decent shape because of it.
Other Information
Muse can play several instruments: Guitar, piano, flute, and violin. She's a talented writer, though due to her demographic and content she's not super famous, and besides that, it's the mysterious "Valerie Nailsworth" who gets all the fame and recognition for work, not the real Muse.
