It was a beautiful day for a trip by boat. Oliver who left his home for a new adventure with his Pokemon was on his way to Caravella City, the new land, and region where it all will begin. The young trainer stood on the upper deck with Eevee on his shoulder, who was enjoying the sea breeze, watching around him to other people. There was a different kind of people traveling with him. Other trainers, researchers, merchants, and travelers. Most of them didn't go alone. Moving with Pokemon was typical for all these kind of persons. The Pokemon world could be a dangerous place in some situations.
Water-type Pokemon's and other ships gathering around them were a sign that they were closing their destination. Green eyes were scanning the area in front of the boat as they saw the docks from the city rising out of the water. The beginning of his new life was becoming real; they were close to the shore.
The boat took his place at one of the piers in the docks and lowered the gangway. Men and woman, from children to elders, left the vessel with smiles on their faces. It was the same for Oliver. He was happy the be here and step into his father's steps as he was also a trainer once. Noticing a different kind of men while leaving the ship. Most of them were sellers, selling stuff like clothes, guides and other types of items. Besides sellers, there were also breeders who were here to trade, specific for Water-type Pokemon. Oliver went to see one of the few he saw while he was on the boat. The man he went to had his attention by how he handled the people. His happiness and enjoyment appealed to him. The starting Pokemon trainer had nothing to trade for or didn't have enough money to buy one. His curiosity took over for a moment.
"Hello young man, how can I help you? Are you interested in trading some Pokemon?"
The salesman spoke to Oliver who had stopped at his stand. The twenty-two-year-old trainer declined his offer with a smile explaining that had nothing to offer, no Pokemon nor any money and that he was curious to see new Pokemon.
"It is your lucky day my friend. This Pokemon is my new asset from today."
He pointed to a Dratini who showed her head out of the water. The water-type breeder explained to Oliver that this Pokemon had a questionable character and that it was the reason why its trainer traded her for a few others as Dratini's weren't common here and that he will train here for a future trade. Oli enjoyed his time here, seeing all those Pokemon he only knew from television or from stories of people he knew. It was time to move on. He still had things to do. Like updating his Pokedex that he got from his old man. Oliver had received a few addresses where he could upgrade the software from his Pokedex. They were not near where he was at that moment. They were further into the city, more towards the path that led the travelers outside the town to the next one. And so the young man with a black snapback om his head started to move away from the docks.
