 Since Kouji had been a little bit busy helping his aniki Eichi with some things over in Pahala, he’d actually let his usual clientele go to his protégé’s Ranch in the meantime if they needed something bred. Now, imagine his surprise when he’d gotten back and there were quite a lot of new things that had happened; especially when it came to Breeding!
Wow, that’s a ton of shit to read. But hey, if it opens up a lot of new possibilities, I’ll gladly take it, he thought to himself, reading through all the material that had been sent out to all the Breeders via email messages. His message also came along with a rather shocking surprise—due to how long he’d been in the Breeding business, he’d actually been granted a fourth Breeding slot due to some changes that had been implemented while he was away!
Along with that, though, came several email requests; mostly asking for specific breeding requests. While one of them had come from a certain birdbrain, there were a few more fielded requests that had appeared in the Sanctuary’s Inbox. He could only guess as to who wanted a Tepig done, but then there was a sudden last-minute request for an Eevee request coming from the same birdbrain—because who knew that there was going to be some regret there?
There was also another Breeding request sitting for what one of his affiliates commonly referred to as the “sea dragon-horse on meth”, and he could only scratch his head at the sudden business. “Well, then,” he remarked, going over to the Transporter and punching in a series of digits and waiting for the ‘mons he was going to borrow to arrive.
Soon enough, several Pokéballs clattered in the receiving dish, and he quickly went to the store room and fished out the three jars of what was labeled as “Floral Honey” before heading out. Well, nice of them to send free samples of some of the new stuff. Might as well put it to use… he thought as he then released the first (and only, actually) pair he was going to be tossing together—near the man-made lake.
Once the Wingull and the Alomomola were situated comfortably, he then waded some distance away and then released the Dragalge, who he was pretty sure was tired of seeing his mug already at this point. But instead of surprising Arashi the Dragalge with another Goomy, he’d left one of the jars of Floral Honey beside him. “Don’t try to eat it all…” he said sheepishly, before heading towards sheltered thickets and situating the Tepig he’d borrowed from his first boss; quickly feeding it one of those expensive-as hell Restorer candies and then leaving another jar of the scented Floral Honey near it.
After that was done, he then looked for a quiet corner and then sent out the birdbrain’s Eevee, before nuzzling with it for the briefest of moments and leaving the third and last jar of Floral Honey beside it…
Now, what would come of this crazy caper?

 Kouji wasn’t exactly expecting two of the four requests he’d put down to go over successfully (unfortunately one of them had only produced a single egg, which regally sucked) yet the other two had flopped so fantastically, it put a Magikarp to shame!
Knowing that he had to calm the “Warring States” down, he then sighed, before heading to the store house on the ground floor of his Ranch and retrieving a certain paper bag that was filled with ‘things that should never be mentioned’.
He could only sigh, and hope that the Floral Honey hadn’t been used as he then made his way outside and found the Wingull and Alomomola weren’t exactly seeing eye to eye. He then whistled softly, and then fed his Wingull the rubbery ‘shroom before leaving them alone.
Once he was done with the first pair, he then proceeded to where the Dragalge was floundering about in the surf, before feeding it a ‘shroom as well, and leaving him alone.

 He definitely had birds on the brain, but he wasn’t exactly expecting that his Eevee would also manage to cough up an extra spawn—and for some reason he’d been looking to get some more of the Eeveelutions, even if it was going to take him a while, considering that some of the Eeveelutions didn’t do so great when it came to their Hidden Abilities.
Either way, Damian had packed along three Incubators—as one of them wasn’t really his, it was just on loan to him—and he then eventually made the trip down to Alterna, taking the Air Azrael express (for some reason his Salamence loved to fly at breakneck speeds that rivaled even his Aerodactyl’s usual daredevil tendencies) so that he could get to his destination faster.
Some hours later, he’d arrived at the Ranch and made his way inside, returning the borrowed Incubator before handing over the two that he did own; and eventually getting them back with two eggs—one of which he recognized on sight, accompanied by a Pokéball.
“Thanks, Whitey,” he muttered, sheepishly rubbing the back of his neck as he carted out the Wingull and the Eevee egg, before scheduling another stop he had to make somewhere...

 It was literally the eleventh hour when Kouji had decided to check his breeding requests—and wasn’t surprised to see that there were several lined up! But why did they all have to come in so late, though? He could only scratch the back of his forehead as he decided to get to all of them in one go, and hoped for the best…
Knowing that he had several more of those weird things called Floral Honey, he then made up his mind to give them another spin, considering how…wild the results could get from time to time. Hoping that the ‘mons he was going to borrow weren’t in use, he then took a look at the message that had been forwarded to him—as he was borrowing a Absol that knew Detect to pass on a certain Egg Move to a certain ‘mon he was trying to get more of.
Once he’d punched in the codes, he then stepped back and waited for the Ponyta, Golisopod, Eevee and the Absol to arrive. While waiting for the Transporter to go off, he then made for the store room and secured the Floral Honey, before returning to a full load and then heading outside.
Once he’d set up the shiny Ponyta with one of the weird jars; as well as the Golisopod with another one, he then looked for Shinku and left a third jar of Floral Honey beside her. The fourth pair would take a bit of negotiating though—because he knew they were both female; and he’d actually picked up that newfangled item that let two ‘mons of the same gender temporarily breed without having to permanently change their gender.
“Alright, you two… please behave, now,” he said, once he’d set up the Eevee and the Absol in a sheltered clearing and left the Breeding Cookie between them.

“Again with the eleventh hour requests? Come on… this is a bit silly at this point…”
Kouji could only groan as he’d very nearly neglected to check the Sanctuary’s public email address; luckily he did and he saw that there were quite a lot of requests lined up for him to deal with. Knowing that he had little time left to deal with all of this, he quickly took mental notes of who went with which, and then rushed over to the Transporter and punched in several codes, anxiously waiting for the borrowed ‘mons to start clattering in.
Thankfully, the borrowed ‘mons arrived in no time at all, and he swept up the armload of containment units before heading to the stock room and grabbing several items and eventually heading out to the Sanctuary proper. The first pair he’d found a sheltered cove for them to settle in, before sending out the Natu he’d recently bought off from a fellow Breeder, along with a familiar-looking Honchkrow.
“Alright, Karakura. Don’t disappoint Damian now…” he said with a chuckle as he left the first pair for some private time. The second pair he’d decided to put in a rather airy clearing, and watched as a Sunkern made an appearance, along with the recently-acquired Cherubi he’d managed to find on the market.
“Okay, you two, have fun, please?” he added with a sheepish-sounding voice before leaving then alone, as well. The third one, a very familiar Cacnea trundled out of the flash of red light, to which he gave an appreciative smile before leaving one of the two jars of Floral Honey beside it. “Lyon, try not to eat it all, okay? Leave some for your companion…” he said softly, before rushing away.
The fourth and final ‘mon was someone he’d been having issues for some time now; as the last time this had happened he’d only wound up with one of them—and ironically it had gone to the birdbrain’s rival. However, there was word on the pipes that one of the birdbrain’s friends was coming to Veria, and said birdbrain wanted to surprise said friend with a gift—of many Fire-types.
“Well, I’m not even going to ask why…” he commented with a smirk as the familiar Tepig he’d sourced from his first boss appeared in a flash of red light, before he’d left a second pot of Floral Honey as well as one of the bigger magical ‘shrooms with it.
“Alright, Ignis. Don’t disappoint, now…” he said, sighing before he left the last ‘mon alone…

 While most of the requests had gone through without a hitch, there was one that… kind of flopped on the wayside. To make matters worse, it was the one that the birdbrain was waiting for! Kouji could only shrug as he went to the store room and bailed out some of the funnier mushrooms and some of the funky honey, before smacking a palm to his forehead.
Why didn’t I do this sooner… he thought to himself, before heading back to the Transporter and punching in a series of codes before he’d forget. There were more requests coming in, and he could only chuckle—the birdbrain knew what he was up to, definitely.
As the borrowed ‘mons appeared, he then scooped up the armload of borrowed containment units before heading outside. To the arguing avian couple, he dumped the bigger, rubbery ‘shroom in front of them before leaving them alone—he had a mission to accomplish, and here he was hoping he’d be able to get it done real fast.
Once he’d found a nice, secluded clearing he then sent out the borrowed—his eyebrows went up in surprise as he was met with a graceful Espeon, instead of an Eevee. “Well, well, looks like he’s been busy,” he said with a bit of a grin on his face, before setting down a pot of Floral Honey beside the Espeon. “Don’t try to eat it all, okay? I wouldn’t want anything too stupid to happen to you,” he added with a bit of a grin.
He then remembered that his Alexander knew all the moves capable of passing down to a Ralts, and then realized he didn’t have to look too far for a partner after all… after he’d managed to locate where his Duskull was, hanging out with the other Ghost-types he owned, he then managed to persuade the Duskull to come along with him, before going to another clearing.
“Okay, Alex. I know this is a bit of a stretch, but… can you deliver? And when I mean deliver… like this?” he asked, sending out a female Ralts he’d borrowed from one of his contacts. “Okay, you two. Please play nice!” he added, setting down another one of the giant rubbery ‘shrooms between them, before giving them some privacy.
It was at this time he’d remembered that there were some more additional requests waiting for him—of the flaming kind—and he then made to hunt down his own Charizard, who he’d found lounging up in one of the trees some distance away.
“Hey, Char. Char Aznable!” he shouted, catching the Charizard’s attention, before it looked down at him with a baleful look in its eye. “Char, c’mere! I kind of need you…” he said, leaving another pot of Floral Honey at the base of the tree, should Char deign to come down.
The last borrowed ‘mon, he’d sent out in another sheltered clearing, before leaving yet another pot of Floral Honey beside the shiny Ninetales. “Wait. Since when did you become a shiny—“ he trailed off, looking at Damian’s Ninetales for a few moments, before shrugging and leaving him alone…

 While he’d only gotten the text from Kouji that some of his orders were ready, he was surprised to see that he only needed to bring one Incubator; as the other two ‘mons had already hatched—was it his fault he’d suddenly gotten very busy as of late?
Sighing, as he knew that he owed the white-haired Breeder yet another apology, he then made off to whip together another batch of what he called ‘mug cake’, a recent discovery of his as his way of apologizing for keeping him waiting for so long.
Once the chocolate-flavored baked treat was done, he’d then brought it along, nestling it in the lone Incubator he was bringing along this time around.
Several hours later, he’d landed in front of the Sanctuary, and told Azrael to stay put before making his way inside.
After he’d dropped off the mug cake along with the Incubator, the transaction took the better part of ten minutes, and soon he was on his way back to Liggs with one occupied Incubator and two occupied Pokéballs.
