The Star Festival is proving a massive hit all across Veria, but as a few points of clarification:

-- You may not ask for double spawns in solo SF Catch threads the way you can others, in order to help keep the prize counting consistent.

-- In Contest news, the results of every round will be announced at the Grand Ceremony after the Performance round on the final night. This means, for example, if your character competed in the Appeals round, you can safely RP them doing festival things after that round but before the final night without worrying how a win or loss would affect their mood, etc. They might be nervous about upcoming results, but you don't have to worry about compensating for knowledge you don't yet have OOCly.

Perhaps the biggest news of the Festival so far though, word play intended, is that Celesteela has been spotted! We'll see how Ximena and Marceline handle the moon princess, but in the meantime...

That sure was faster, wasn't it? Of course, it stands to reason a 30 foot rocket ship would be found faster than a small baby. ;P However!

Since we still have roughly half the festival remaining, there will be another UB to be encountered. Which one even staff doesn't know for sure, as we're throwing in several options to see which one comes up this time. Perhaps you'll be the one to find out what our next invader is!



After a long wait, our Berry System is finally here! The mechanics used to gather them are fairly similar to treasure hunting, while the berries you gather can be used to create different PokeBlocks that can help you attract the wild Pokemon your heart desires in Catch threads! It also helps add some utility to many formerly useless abilities!

This is currently a bit of a "beta" system, so some tweaks may be in order depending on how balanced it feels after a bit of use, but fingers crossed!

We also have a few fun or useful additions to our FC system for you guys!

• First of all, you can now have up to two Face Claims per character! (Or per unique persona, for characters like Sam/Cat or even potentially Astrid/Pale Heart.) :3 This should help people who have been torn between two similar faces to avoid the risk of "clones" as well as get a wider range of expressions, hairstyles, clothes, etc in the art used to represent the character.
  
  Note: Original Artwork is always allowed in addition to FCs. Characters listed under "Original Art" in the FC list are only those chars who use only Original Art with no FC. Drawing or commissioning art of your chars on top of having FCs will not count against your number of claims.
  
  
  
• We have a new "FC Ideas" thread to offer suggestions for those who find this sort of thing fun, who want to save time by narrowing options, or who would benefit from narrowing their options by getting less overwhelmed with endless choices, etc. Of course, you are still free to app any and all FCs that fit our "semi-realistic-but-not-photos" criteria; this thread is just a collection of FCs that staff or whoever suggested them to add thought looked especially neat or unique in their designs and wanted to share with everyone. ^-^
  
  
  
• You can now reserve Face Claims for up to 1 month while working on bios. Limit 2 per player per month, no exceptions, so be sure an FC is the one you want before reserving.
  
  
  
• In order to add a second FC to an existing character, change FCs, or reserve FCs, please use the new FC Management thread in addition to mod summoning to help mods keep track. Note that with all this, we are also implementing a limit on how often FCs can be changed, with only very situational exceptions, so be sure to read the full rules for that in said thread.
