 Was he really that bird-brained, or something?
Kouji could only chuckle and shake his head, before approaching the Transporter and punching in a certain code while waiting for the contents to arrive. He knew that a certain individual was on a quest to basically ‘recover everything that had been lost’, and from the looks of things, it was like Josh was trying to assemble either his own private army or an attempt to start a Pokédex collection thing. Not that the funky little gadget was a thing in the Veria region, of course, but then again…
As the loud, clattering noise of four containment units caught his attention, he then scooped up the armload, before walking outside and looking for quiet, secluded spots. At the first location he found, he then quickly sent out the first pair—one transforming into a bonkers-looking Fearow; while its companion was a Pidove who was a bit on the small side. “Hey, Bragi. I know that’s not Idun, but… humor me, will you? Someone’s looking for a ton of birds, so do your best…” he said in the Fearow’s direction, who squawked in his direction in greeting once he’d caught sight of the white-haired Breeder.
After leaving the first pair behind, he then looked for another quiet, secluded area—and eventually found an alcove sheltered enough for the other pair. Wondering if this was going to be such a good idea (as the other one of this pair was a Skarmory) he then sent out the other two, watching the sword-like bird appear first, before it was joined by something that looked like it had analog clock faces for eyeglasses. “Try not to kill each other, please,” he remarked, bowing in their direction before leaving them alone…

 He knew that Damian wasn’t exactly busy, so borrowing two of the four birds he’d gotten the last time was a simple task. The other request that came in was going to be a problem; because who on earth looked for Magnemites, anyway?
Well, apparently, Josh does. Thankfully I know someone who has a partner for the weird pile of fridge magnets… he thought, quickly approaching the Transporter and punching in several codes. He knew that one of the codes was headed directly for Damian’s PC, while the other one… did he even need to ask his first boss for permission when he wanted to borrow her minions?
I mean, we technically share some of the ‘mons here, so… he continued to himself as he waited for the three borrowed ‘mons to arrive, before quickly punching in another code and this time retrieving a Froslass from Izumi’s storage. He ran through his mind, trying to remember if he had a spare Incense lying around somewhere, and quickly dropped by the stock room to pick it up.
Eventually he’d found his way outside and had isolated the two pairs into separate areas; with the Fearow and Pidove near one of the tree-lined areas; while the Magnemite and Froslass were in a sheltered cove. He’d also set the Incense between them, before leaving them alone…

 The worst time he’d had was when his first boss was trying to procure a Noibat, with four successive failures before he’d finally succeeded and gotten a single egg. Today, however…
The discordant racket he could hear from outside signaled the fact that not only one, but both pairs had not only failed to get it on, but they were both locked in what appeared to be heated, aggressive combat! Very nearly knocking over the lamp on the side table as he bolted out of his chair, he then rushed down to the storage room and retrieved a certain bag that contained the faint scent of rubbery, gooey… well, ‘aphrodisiacs’. Groaning, as he knew that getting too dependent on the stuff was bloody illegal, he then made his way outside—and headed towards the first warring couple.
Both the Fearow and the Pidove were aggressively trying to peck eah others’ eyes out, and it took all of his energy not to scream at the,m. instead, he gave a sharp whistle, that caused the two to stop arguing, before he’d pelted one of the mushrooms towards the Fearow. “Bragi, chill the fuck out, man. You’ll be back with Idun soon enough,” he remarked, giving them a stare down, before looking for the second warring pair.
He then found the second pair not too far away—while one was trying to zap the daylights out of the other, the Froslass was trying to punch it into an icy pulp! He then noticed that the Incense had gone out, so he quickly relit it, before giving the mushroom to the Froslass—because how in the hell did a Magneton eat?!

 Since Kouji had struck up a deal with a fellow Breeder, it was up to him to actually produce the Pokémon that they were going to borrow. What he hadn’t exactly revealed was that even though he had a Squirtle with the said techniques, the Ability it had was the standard Torrent, and not the Hidden one of Rain Dish. He knew he had to correct this little oversight, and hope that they wouldn’t notice… at least he’d said that some part of it was the truth, and that he really did have the ‘mon available.
The question now was, would the two cooperate, or just make it all one big, giant, bloody argument?
He then went outside into the back portion of his Ranch, looking around and trying to locate the two ‘mons that he’d bred once, and had netted him some serious profit back then. It didn’t take too long for him to find the Wingull; the Squirtle, however, was much trickier to find. After several minutes of frantic searching, he’d found the Tiny Turtle asleep against one of the trees, a pile of half-eaten Berries next to it.
“Geez, you’re so silly…” he remarked, grinning before gently poking the Squirtle to wake up. Once it did notice him, the Wingull came swooping down from the updrafts, and he then said, “Alright, you two. There’s a very interesting deal riding on this, so please, cooperate. You’re my best pair so far, and I can’t believe the wait list on you…” he ended with a chuckle, before patting the Squirtle on the head and leaving the two to do their thing…
As an afterthought, he then rushed to the Transporter and punched in two codes as quick as he could manage, knowing that the two he was borrowing weren’t going to be used by their respective owners. Several minutes later he’d rushed back outside again, and had found another sheltered cove, before quickly releasing the sleepy-looking Scraggy and a rather aggressive-looking Gogoat.
“Uhhh, Missy, right? Please don’t kill me. And don’t kill Zaer, either,” he remarked, indicating the Scrafty, who had now fully woken up and was surprised to be staring at a Gogoat whose looks could kill, if given the chance. “Alright? Don’t kill each other. Damian and Izumi will kill me if I send you both back in boxes, or worse,” he added, before bowing quickly in their direction and leaving them alone…

 This week had been blocked off, mostly due to the fact that he wanted to give some of his new friends a leg-up with their own wish lists. Hoping that they weren’t too busy dealing with whatever was bothering their lives, Kouji then walked over to the Transporter, whistling while he’d punched in a series of codes. He’d just gotten a sealed envelope containing an “anonymous” affiliation request; even though he thought he’d recognized the writing.
Humoring the person who’d sent him the letter, he then waited for the borrowed ‘mons to come through the network. Eventually, he heard clattering noises, and looked up in time to see that there were four containment units waiting for him. Scooping up the armload, he then made his way outside, before looking for a private place for the first breeding.
Well, this is going to be coming out of my pocket, so I don’t mind doing it, he thought, releasing the first two. As a Skitty and an Eevee materialized from out of the blue, he then crouched down and patted the female cat ‘mon. “Alright, Kit-Kat. Someone wants a Skitty, so don’t make him mad, okay? I know he’s one of the prissy ones, but still. Don’t be too mean, okay?” he remarked in the Eevee’s direction, before leaving them alone.
Once he’d found the second sheltered cove, he then released the two, before realizing what the problem was! Secretly glad that he always had those cookies on-hand with him, he decided to approach the Snorunt first, before feeding it one of these unusual delicacies. They weren’t as bad as the mushrooms, although they had this weird effect of changing their physiological composition to their opposite counterpart…
As Yukiya the Froslass made an appearance, he then pointed to the Snorunt. “Yes, Yuki, I know that’s she’s still a female… for now. But give it some time, and you two can just… yeah. Just go do what you have to. Don’t kill each other…” he ended with a nervous chuckle, before leaving the second pair alone for some “personal time”.
