Snowflake gave a nod right before the Miracle Eye was used. <Something’s not right… Just… danger. A lot of it. I feel it…> It bothered her that she couldn’t see it just yet. Normally she could guess what was wrong by sight, but now, no. <Be careful. Everyone be careful. Tell Dasha to have that knife idiot on hand.> Dasha would know which one once the message was relayed. Hand gripped on Mint’s Pokeball, she wouldn’t release him just yet but was ready to. By then Kai had caught up, however, and Dasha turned to him as well relaying Snowflake’s warning if Ted didn’t first. Right after, however, Snowflake would start to move again, and Dasha followed after.
As they came to the room, Dasha’s hand moved, and the light switch was flicked on. Blue eyes squinted at the mess that was the room equipment and items. The dampness of the room had her breath tighten a bit. Snowflake walked around the room carefully trying to grasp at the very least the direction of the sense of danger. When it seemed impossible, however, she relayed that to Ted as well. If they chose to move on, be careful. If they stayed any longer, be careful.
Dasha, meanwhile, listened and understood once it was relayed. Walking around the room, she bit her lip. As much as it would be a good idea to look through any papers they could find, she was worried about Fletch. She tried the com again but to no avail. “Snow let’s keep going,” she spoke. The Absol gave a nod and looked around for a door. On finding it she leaped to open it by the handle and waited for Dasha to come.

Kai walked somewhat slowly at first, both glancing into passing rooms for anything Dasha may have missed (or in case she was in one, until he spied her ahead) and to give Beam time to get back and catch up. Once he did, Kai recalled him, and he and Navi made a quicker line for the group ahead.
Well, Ted seemed to be making himself an asset, hm? That was good. Sable was still very raring to go, and Navi had done a good bit of work outside, so while Ted and Dasha caught him up, he decided to recall the Sylveon for now to downsize their group in the interest of stealth.
As Dasha entered the room where the Danger seemed located, Kai briefly panicked and reached out to grab her, but slightly misjudged the distance and realized she was already well within the room before he could correct, so he abandoned the effort. So long as nothing immediately jumped out... "Be on guard..." he warned.

There was very little sign of the fletchinder in the current room, but upon examination, the moisture in the air seemed to be explained by a small streak of water leading towards the door the Absol had found. Upon opening it, the sounds of the Fletchinder's com (recieving interference from the other being so close now) would sound. The pokemon was borderline conscious but mostly incapacitated, it was still capable of movement, but combat would be a risk.
-Fletchinder's control returned-
The next room Beyond the door was a server room Kai would recognize from the Goon's description if he reached it. Rows of servers lined the walls with a very distinct center-piece, a cylindrical container funnelling most of the room's resources into a single point, a rather large port with a three-pronged key slot next to it. The room was dark, and all the lights clearly destroyed. Snow would sense a faint air of danger throughout the entire room, though the fact water seemed to line every inch of the floor may have been why. Beyond the servers, three odd stands were erected. Each one similar in shape end design, though upon further inspection, 'rigs' may have been more apt. Each one seemed as though they were meant to support something during a state of maintanence or other form of work. Seconds would tick by. Snow and Dasha would have time to reach Fletchinder in the server room. Kai may have taken a few steps into the first room at most. Snow's senses spiked. Danger in the first room had found a central location to focus on, while the danger in it's own room spiked abnormally fast. Kai would hear an odd clicking above his head as the burning scent that filled the room grew stronger.
--TARGETS AQUIRED--
If Kai were to turn around he would see a likely recognizeable view from the Mission briefings. The both insect like and mechanical pokemon known as Genesect had been hiding just above the door, unfolding from it's compact hover form. It would lunge down, still clinging to the surface as he tried to strike the human directly in the shoulder, specifically the arm wielding the baton, deaming it to be the best point of attack for lowering the commander's threat level. Bounding off the wall, he landed between both interpol agents, moving with an unnatural speed and dexterity for it's mechanical form, the turret on it's back rising over it's head and spinning 180 degrees, the Genesect having examined the room down to the finest detail, as it would fire a charge beam towards the room Dasha and her pokemon had found themselves in. The attack would purposely miss all targets, striking the soaked floor and electrifying the entire room. The cannon would immediately swivel back around, aimed for the commander's Beheeyem, a dark form of energy clearly primed in it's barrel. As the pokemon finally took a moment to remain still, clear streams of smoke were pouring from it's joints, explaining the burning smell. Closer inspection of it's canon would show a blue drive inserted into it, explaining both the moisture, and the smell that had been filling the room. --P-P-PROTO-SECT *ZZZT* DIRECTIVE : KILL--
--TO PR-PR-PR *ZZZT* TO PREVENT DEATH PRESENT VERBAL KILL CODE--
Despite the brief warnings, the canon would fire at the Beheeyem, a dark pulse of surprising width bursting through the doorway at the psychic pokemon, the canon swiftly turning to the commander if the Beheeyem was deemed neutralized. -- FIVE. FOUR. R-R-REE *ZZT* TWO....--

A sharp breath drew into Dasha as sound returned to her com. “Fletch where are you?” She’d stopped walking, but even then all she could hear was a slight wheezing sound on the other end of it. Biting her lip, she started forward only to nearly slip on the slick floor. Snowflake was quick to move and catch her against herself before attempting to right her again. What her eyes finally caught, however, was the incapacitated Fletchinder not far off now. “Fletch!” Dasha was already closing the distance between them, bending down to check him over. It was right after that, however, that Snowflake’s sense of Danger jumped. A noise escaped from her and immediately had Dasha jolting.
Returning Fletch, she started back towards the first room only for Snowflake to tackle her out of the way as a Charge Beam came rushing at them. The floor, however, was suddenly sparking, however, and even as she landed, Dasha could feel it. A sharp pained cry escaped from both her and Snowflake who was quick to jump off and apologize. Shit. Well, clearly they found the thing that downed Fletch. Gritting her teeth, Dasha forced herself back up to standing.
“Snowflake, we’re going to need more power.” The Absol hummed deep in her throat understanding innately. Pulling the Keystone out from around her neck, Dasha stared at Snowflake. The latter burst with light Mega Evolving without a hitch. Their bond had been established long ago, and the strength of that was unquestionable. A nod was given, and both human and Absol moved out of the room again. “Night Slash!” Blessed with Mega speed, Snowflake went dashing at the Genesect, claw raised and ready to do some harder hitting damage.

The sounds called Kai's attention just enough to make him look up, and-- "FUCKING--" He stumbled back, almost slipped on the wet floor, then promptly had his shoulder slashed by the massive bug's claws. His baton clattered to and skid across the floor.
He clutched his shoulder wound; Sable jumped in and used a Cotton Guard (her earlier one regrettably worn off by now) as she growled menacingly. Ted panicked and skittered to duck behind Kai with a series of "Oh no oh dear oh dear OH NO!"
"Stand your ground," Kai barked, and just in time, as Ted was absolutely about to retreat into his ball to hide. Why was this happening this was terrible aaaaaaa. ;-;
The Charge Beam crackled, and no one had time to do much before it was fired. Kai, however, did think of the wet floor and, on a whim and a prayer, raised his right foot. Ted and Sable were blasted pretty good by the Charge Beam's dispersing, but Kai managed to stay standing; while his shoe and plastic prosthetic didn't insulate the attack entirely, it dampened it significantly.
"Ted, get some shields!" he ordered. Ted would manage to throw up a Light Screen just in time to absorb half the damage from Dark Pulse, but he was definitely visibly crying at this point. This was supposed to be a recon mission! Intel! Data files! Very low chance of battle! Those were all things Kaimana had said in convincing him to come along. If he'd known this was a possibility he'd have stayed at the office!
Dasha's sudden Mega Evolution caught Kai's attention hard, but only for a second before he forced himself to focus. Impressed as he was, he'd have to save the commentary for later.
"Sable--" he started, pulling her PokeBall only to get a sharp bark in return as she got to her feet. She turned and used a Charm on the Genesect, and prepared herself to jump in front of any attacks as needed. Kai huffed. She really wasn't strong enough or well-suited for a fight like this, but she was going to insist on staying part of it, wasn't she. "If you get yourself hurt she's literally going to kill me," he warned the Furfrou, but let her stay even as he pulled out and released his Rapidash. Meanwhile, Ted managed to get a Reflect up.
Kai injured but standing.

The kill code was absent, and the insects external scanners told it zero of the nearby threats had been eliminated. This was problematic. His orders buzzed in his mind. Kill. His targeting systems briefly scanned the room, his upper torso spinning a full 360 degrees to ensure he could see everyone, detecting no personel badges on any of them, nor did any relate to his limited facial recognition database. Both pointed towards the truth that neither human was an employee of the facility.
--KILL PROTOCOL CONFIRMED. EXECUTE OBLITERATE.EXE--
Turning sharply and suddenly, the Genesect would meat the attack of the Absol with his own X scizzor, the insect pokemon clearly able to hold his own even against a mega pokemon, his arms crossing his chest and deflecting the night slash, blue eyes flickering like broken lightbulbs clinging to life. The scent of smoke grew stronger with each attack as the defective prototype pushed it's hardware to the limits to execute it's orders.
--HIGH PRIORITY TARGET--
It's canon pushing up over it's head, the cannon fired a stream of vibrant energy, the signal beam aiming for the absol as it rebounded from the initial attempt to attack. The insect nearly jolted however as the rapidash entered the fray, whirling around rapidly, the drive in it's canon sparking as it tried to activate.
--DANGER! DANGER! ELIMINATE WEAKNESS--
getting down on all fours the pokemon's cannon extended up over it's head, the blast forming in it's barrel recognizeable to anyone who had seen footage of the sinclair incident, but what came out wasn't quite the power seen at the event. Clearly this creature's color wasn't the only thing that differentiated it from the original, as it's techno blast, while still formidable, was nothing to the real thing.

“Snow!” Dasha started, but the Mega Absol was already dividing into numerous copies as the Signal Beam rushed forth. Blessed with more speed than she had ever known prior to learning Mega Evolution, she could dodge this much no problem. How long she could keep it up might turn into a problem but whatever for now. As the Genesect turned its attention away from them, however, Dasha was quick to give orders. “Swords Dance!” she called. The Absol quickly whipped up a flurry of power boosting her Attack.
Dasha, meanwhile, frowned as she put Mint’s Pokeball away. He’d do no good against something like that. Tch and Anise was still weak, and Verde was out. Ugh, she’d have to use her ride Pokemon. “Giselle!” she tossed out the Arcanine’s Pokeball. “Flamethrower!” The Arcanine yipped! (Why was it yipping why did it not bark like a regular big dog why this.) Throwing back her head she released a spew of flames from her maw aiming to hit the Genescet’s back.

Oh thank goodness the creature was focusing on Dasha's Pokemon. N-not that he'd wish ill on his teammates! Ted's poor heart just didn't know if he could take much of this. He'd take the chance to use a Safeguard to protect the ones he could, though, not knowing if the creature had anything to make that super useful but deciding it better to be safe since his offensive strength wasn't the best.
Kai, meanwhile, grimaced at the events. "Sparkler--" He was cut off a bit trying to command the horse (named by one miss Kaimana Nalani) as an attack came straight toward her, but Sable leapt in the way to take it for her. Dammit, dog.. "Flare Blitz," Kai finished.
"And Ted, split the difference," Kai ordered. Ted actually perked up a bit. O-oh? Yes, he could do that! But only if the fire attacks didn't work, right?

Proto-sect's scanners could tell the odds were not in it's favor. Even as a defective model it was smart enough to realize it's order had been given more as a diversionary tactic. Nevertheless, it was programmed to carry out the order all the same. With the two fire pokemon and only one cannon, he swiftly began to run tactical simulations in his secondary processors, trying to find the most effective combat plan, but for now- --PROBABILITY OF SUCCESS APPROACHING ZERO. ACTIVATE SHIELDING--
Two brief flashes of colors coated the Genesect before a blast of fire struck it from behind. The damage was mitigated, but still incredibly painful. The cannon on its back almost instinctively turned to face the Arcanine only for the insect Pokemon to prioritize threats, leaping up into the air, its pointed appendages latched onto the ceiling as the Rapidash ran by underneath. A new plan rapidly formed as the pain split drained a portion of his energy. --ORIGNAL TACTIC EFFECTIVE--
Its cannon pointed to the ground once again, firing a charge beam at the moist floor. The Genesect recalled the older human had seemed immune to the attack, but his primary objective was to briefly distract the other Pokemon causing him trouble. As quickly as the charge beam fired, the cannon fired two quick yet powerful shots between both the Rapidash and the Arcanine, aiming to strike them while the charge beam's electrical current had locked the muscles of the Pokemon who might guard them. “Shi-“ Dasha stared to say something, but suddenly Giselle was snagging her by the back of her jacket and flinging her on her back. The Arcanine took the Charge Beam, but thanks to Ted’s efforts, this was mitigated at least some. As the canon was pointed in her direction, however, the Arcanine zipped away and around with an Extreme Speed avoiding the turret for now. She may have been ready to singe that bug machine but knew her priorities in this case had changed. She’d keep Dasha safe.
Sensing the danger, Snowflake braced herself for the Charge Beam and took it reasonably well. She formed a Swords Dance yet again raising her Attack that much higher before. Rushing forth with her high-end speed, she raised a claw and made to Night Slash the turret itself hoping to damage it rather than just the Genesect.

Kai was too busy watching everything else going on to properly react to the Charge Beam this time. Staggering and catching himself on a nearby (very defunct) piece of machinery to avoid falling, he questioned if the effort was worth it as pain shot through his injured shoulder once weight was put on that arm.
Sparkler took a hit, but managed to Agility her way out of the Techno Blast, at least. Afterward, she Flame Charged in with intent to take this thing out quickly.
Mother of fuck, Kai thought. Didn't that thing say 'Protosect' or something? And the Sinclair report said purple. While possible this was an enhanced version, the name and unfinished look of it suggested it was a prototype, so what the fuck kind of power and speed could the full version pull off?
"Ted, help her," he grumbled. Ted didn't think either he or Sable could do much at this point to a steel-y Pokemon, but wouldn't question her resolve as she jumped in to Headbutt. He... reluctantly added a Psychic.

The opponents Proto-sect faced were proving difficult and it couldn't find itself outlasting them for long. Still clinging to the ceiling, it's cannon aimed at those behind it while it's eyes locked on to Kaimana and his pokemon, gauging each of their reactions to the previous attacks and growing as agitated as his mechnically influenced mind would allow him to become. With the night slash, he would de-tatch from the ceiling, seeing the Absol as a growing threat and turning his cannon onto it mid fall, firing as he landed, the same stream of multicolored energy as before.
--NEW ORDERS I-I-INCOMING--
As a signal reached the brain of the proto-sect, the mechanical pokemon leaped to the side of the flame charge, it's machinery locking up in a brief moment of delayed response, taking the incoming psychic and headbutt attacks. Reaching a third of it's effective power, the pokemon's new orders that it had been transmitted registered, and eyes turned to Dasha, or rather, in her general direction.
--DESTROY RESEARCH--
Rushing for the femmale agent, the mechanical insect leaped into the air, transofmring into a far more compact shape and flying paste her and her pokemon at surprising speed, transforming back to normal as it reached the center pillar of the next room, wrapping around the metallic cylinder that focused the room's processing power, it's smoking, sparking body beginning to glow as it primed the self destruct function.

A deep noise reverberated from the Absol as the Protosect moved, and as it returned fire, she was quick to divide into numerous copes again to avoid the attack. Landing hard on the ground, she twisted back around sharply as her danger sense seemed to accelerate. Dasha—
Giselle, meanwhile, was more than ready to react when the Genesect turned towards her and the human in her charge. As it rushed at her, the Arcanine used yet another Extreme Speed to avoid the move only to subsequently let the creature to get by in that way as well. Dasha, meanwhile, had managed to follow it with her gaze as both her Pokemon and it moved. What was it do— “Giselle!” she snapped. The Arcanine turned on a dime and then immediately stopped short. “Flare Blitz!” The Arcanine’s eyes grew but she did what was asked of her taking in a huge breath and bursting into flames and running tackling the Protosect with everything she had.

Dammit, no, no, this was bad. Don't focus on Dasha's Pokemon! Don't--
As the Protosect set to self-destruct, Kai's nerves tightened and a wave of residual pain shot through him focused mostly in his leg. Instinct said to take cover, bu-- "DASHA!" What was she thinking!? Ordering her Pokemon to charge into this was reckless enough, but riding her into it was--!? He knew down to his bones he had no remote chance of getting to anything in time to make a difference, yet here he was running after them. "--GET!" was all he could sputter out.
Sparkler took that cue to try to get Dasha out of harm's way, charging with her boosted speed to ram into Giselle's side in an effort to knock her and Dasha out of the immediate way of the blast.
Sable, meanwhile, saw a danger and felt duty call. Her defenses were still way up from before, and her feet now crackled against the floor as she ran and leapt at Protosect with a reckless Wild Charge.

With the two agents conflicting in ideas on how to tackle this, the Proto-sect was left mainly alone to perform it's action. With reflect, light screen, and it's additional defensive measure's definitely still active, even with it's defective weakness to electricity the wild charge of the Furfrou did barely anything to deter it, clinging harder to the tube in the center of the room even as it was attacked, and finally erupting in an explosive energy that likely blasted all in the room to the edges of it, or out of the room entirely. While many of the processing servers were only in a state of disrepair after the attack, the center pillar was completely obliterated. Perhaps it's remains were worth salvaging, perhaps not...
The creatre had not suffered a normal faint like most pokemon but instead had truly sacrificed it's life for the order it recieved, metallic pieces of it strewn across the room, most notably the Cannon, with it's drive still majorly intact.
