"So you said something about treasurer in the air? I just remembered I do have a flying type on me, I hardly ever use it so it had escaped me. You wouldn't want to be a sky guide would you?" Ral was almost using his normal cold tone, still frustrated with what had happened. Before Ral would let Thomas answer his question he would walk over and sit on a rock just to stand back up with a jolt of shock, turning around to see what he had set on he would find another crystal and placed it in his pocket then set back down.

Thomas listened as the man mentioned that he had a flight capable Pokemon, though it wasn't one he used. The trainer internally took note of the man's still cold tone. It was too early to tell if this was the real him showing, or if he was just salty about being bowled over by a Delibird.
"That depends on whether I'm here or not next month. I only came prepared for land-based exploration this time. But until then, if you're not used to flying on a Pokemon, I'd suggest taking some courses. I know of a few good places around Veria.", Thomas told the man.
Thomas noticed something at his foot, when a Delibird came speeding towards him. The bird would fish something from her bag, before handing Thomas an Unstable Stone, before running off. This was the second time he received such a stone from a Delibird, but it was something he was content with taking.
Thomas waved to the Delibird, before picking up the Mossy Rock that he felt his boot run up against.

Ral raised an eyebrow to the Delibird, ' Sure this one has manners.' The frustration of this sent ral to his limit, he tried his best to hide it. He started to kick rocks around till he immediately stopped. To his suprise he had come across another crystal, bending over and looking at it before placing it with the others Ral's mind would wander off.' So many crystals here, he must not be telling me something.. With keeping this thought in his head he would once again bring his attention back to Thomas. "That's a shame flying is something I have yet got to experience, another time then. So, Thomas, this jeweler you know, what kind of jewelry does they specialize in?" Ral was hopping this would trick Thomas in to letting out whatever he seemed to be hiding from him.

After pocketing the Unstable Crystal, as well as the Mossy Rock, Thomas silently continued his search for treasure. As he was doing so, he was watching the Gym Leader carefully. Though the fact that he was a Gym Leader did somewhat alleviate his paranoia, Thomas still felt the need to study the man, as he had with all of the Gym Leaders he encountered during his stay in Veria. And while all of them turned out to be just fine, he wouldn't let his guard down so easily.
"He's not so much a specialist as he is very well rounded in his knowledge. If you take a piece that is beyond his knowledge to him, then you can pat yourself on the back for making a discovery.", Thomas remarked. In truth, the jeweler knew about Z-Crystals and Mega Stones, and was a reliable source for not only finding out what a Stone or Crystal went to, but how to determine what it could go to for future reference.
"His shop is located in the Shopping District of Faraday, marked with a sign depicting halves of a Ruby and Sapphire put together.", Thomas would tell Ral.
It was then that Thomas would see something land in the soft dirt nearby. The trainer ran over to check on the object, noticing it was another Mega Stone, one that looked like it went to Greninja. Thomas pocketed the object quietly.

Ral would tilt his head as Thomas went and grabbed the item which just fell from the sky, 'Man their is a hole new world up there, someday I am going to see it.
With shifting his weight from one foot to the other he would ask Thomas one last question. "You ever have business in Aleal?" Ral really didn't know what made him ask this but he did anyways.

Once the Kalosian had the object in tow, he would turn back to face Ral. The blonde would ask him one more question, pertaining to Aleal City. In response, the trainer would nod to the man, before speaking up again.
"Yeah, I do visit Aleal on occasion. Is this about your Gym?", the trainer would ask Ral.
Though Aleal was a place that Interpol hardly had to be called into, it was, by far, Thomas' favorite city in Veria. If things had been different, then he would've elected to move into Aleal, which would've brought him closer to his older cousin. But then, he was fine with Faraday, which was in the same city as his own workplace.
But it wasn't like he was going to let Ral know that he was a Benoit, not just yet.
