It’s astonishing that these thickets have survived up here? Decked out in what had become her standard issue exploration gear, Sophie Sequoia run her finger down a loose and drooping ‘rope’ of green before teasing it to one side. Slipping through the gap that she had made in a natural curtain and running her hands through her hair, as she dragged a few pieces of green material from her pink locks, the young woman decided to bind the majority of her hair into a short tail at the back of her head.
But they almost seem to be thriving? Peering around herself as she peeled her hair back, Sophie had to admit that she was somewhat astounded by what she had found on one of the ‘islands’ of Faraday. The assumption that most would make about these floating patches of ground being that they were barren, whilst many of the masses of earth and dust were barren, an odd selection seemed to carry a host of wildlife that one might not expect.
And if the flora has adapted, I wonder what changes the fauna has seen? This more than anything something that an ecologist couldn’t ignore, especially when the ruins loomed in the distant view from her laboratory, Miss Sequoia had found herself finally unable to resist their lure any longer and had embarked on a solo mission of professional curiosity.

Was this once a garden or a park? Brushing away some vines that had coiled around the frame of what looked to have once been a rather fancy looking seat or bench, even though the wood that had been bolted to it seemed to have been broken or rotten away, Sophie could easily guess from the shape of her find what it once was. The estimation also fuelled by the fact that several of the plants around here seemed to be largely undocumented in the region as far as she knew, it seemed a reasonable leap of faith that these foreign pieces of flora were once guests that had been meant to impress and inspire and were now rampant now that their circumstances had been altered.
Since all these islands were one part of the city, it’s conceivable… Tugging a few more arms of a creeping plant away from the rusty frame before taking a quick snap with the camera on her phone, the girl stood up and looked around her surroundings for further clues as to the environment she was in as she quietly contemplated the accident that had created these hovering masses of land. However, before she had too much chance to pour over the objects that surrounded her, something apparently wanted to say hello.
“Goodness! Oh, had I been ignoring you?” Giving a small gasp of surprise as something pink nudged the back of her shoulder with its overturned nose, Miss Sequoia turned around to discover what looked to be a mix of a piglet and tapir staring at her with big pair of eyes, apparently more curious than threatened by her appearance. “Well, you’re certainly not a shy one, are you?” The researcher giggling softly as she found her new floating friend snuffling softly at her front once she had turned around, with a gentle smile the young woman ran her hand along the round and flower patterned flesh of the inquisitive creature as it seemed to inspect her. Seeming to scan the pockets she had on her vest until it discovered something it was interested in, Sophie found herself quite taken by the creature as it nudged at the pocket she kept a small supply of berries in.
“Hungry, are you?” Lightly pressing her hand on the forehead of the floating piglet and easing it back a few inches, the young woman unfastened her vest and pulled out a small, tube-like container of berries and offered one of them out to the curious creature. Her intuition proving to be correct, with little time to stand on ceremony the Munna that Miss Sequoia had discovered curled its overturned snout toward her and took what was offered ever so delicately, its nose acting almost like a trunk as it sensitively seized the treat.
“It’s good, right?” Sophie smiling and then giggling as the cute creature gave a soft squeak of enjoyment before turning over in the air, she reached into her pocket and pulled out a fresh Pokéball in order to make this piglet her own. “There’s plenty more like that back at my lab, if you’re interested?” Knowing that the link this species had with the world of dreams may well prove useful to the research of Arcadia at some point, the head of research used this information to brush away any guilt that she felt at a more girlish ulterior moment and held the ball out in front of herself as an invitation.

“Whoa!” Stumbling across something that had an unexpectedly remarkable value almost by accident, as Sophie Sequoia delved deeper into the wilderness of these lofty islands, she gasped suddenly as something seemed to suddenly hang from a branch in front of her. That’s! A long limbed Pokémon with an expression dopy enough to rival any Slowbro seeming to simply slip from its resting place, whilst Slakoth was not ordinarily something that would cause the average researcher much excitement, there was something special at work here.
The land as Veria seeming to boast every kind of species one could imagine, aside from the usual suspects for legendary Pokémon there was one kind of monster that had seemed to attain a near mythical status here. Not some fierce beast or elegant beauty that would show itself to mankind only when the time is right but rather a specimen that for one reason or another had been the only species not to thrive in this land, the lazy sloth known as Slakoth was something that locals experts had only dreamed about finding. Sophie had now, quite by chance, managed to find something that was considered a rarity and was not about to pass it up, that was for certain.
It doesn’t look very threatening though… Finding her hand had snapped to the spheres upon her belt the very second that she had been startled, Miss Sequoia relaxed her grip as she looked into a pair of eyes that seemed unconcerned with any real affair around itself. Certainly not seeming to be frightened of Sophie but also lacking the curiosity that the Munna has shown, as this tree dwelling entity hung in front of her it seemed to carry an air that seemed to simply accept the presence of the girl as much as it might a tree or stone in the road. I’d feel awful if I just attacked it out of nowhere? While it has been said that some people are so laid back they’re almost horizontal, one had to observe that this Slakoth superseded that statement to such a degree it would probably be better considered completely inverted. It simply seemed to have no interest in anything other than relaxing and going with the flow, Sophie felt herself seeming to absorb some of the chilled out vibe it was giving off and found herself actually feeling a little bit drowsy. Damn was that laziness infectious!
But I can’t just ignore it either, I’ll just have to be gentle and take a leaf from its book, go with the flow? Yawning and then shaking her head to try and wake herself back up, Miss Sequoia took a slow and steady set of steps forwards as the head of her target turned around at a rather sedate pace. The animal seeming to be perfectly comfortable with its drooping incline or at least not so uncomfortable with being draped from a branch that it was prepared to do anything about it, as Sophie drew up next to the serene sloth she smiled and opted to test just how at ease this creature was with her.
“Heeeeyyyy theeeerrreee budddddyyy!” Speaking slowly but having no real conclusion as to why she was compelled to do so, with an equally reserved pace of her palms Sophie lifted her hands up and gently brushed them through the tan fur of the hanging Slakoth and found herself surprised to note how soft this bushy covering was. The sedate soul she stroked seeming to show no objection to the act and simply yawning at her, as the young woman felt the aura of relaxation threatening her again, she bit her lip in order to focus herself as she moved her hands into a more supportive position.
“Eeeeaaaasy, theeeere weeee goooo!” Gently lifting the hanging Pokémon enough to support his weight, as the lazy Pokémon seemed to raise no struggle against her support Sophie felt a bit of daring and eased the furry fellow toward her like an overgrown baby. Surprised and a little impressed when she discovered just how heavy the body of this beast was and how effortlessly it had seemed to support itself from the branch, the young woman shifted her position to more easily carry this twenty plus kilos of animal, trying to hide the fact that she would struggle carry this kind of weight for more than a few minutes without being tired.
“You wanna come with me, buddy? My lab has some great spots to hang out?” Smiling down at her furry new friend as the weight of the fellow gave her a sense of urgency to wrap this little spot of courtship up, with a gentle look in her eye and her softest smile, Miss Sequoia attempted to coax this Pokémon into her collection. Not sure exactly what sort of sign this limp bodied sloth might give in order to offer its consent but taking the lack of resistance it had shown as a positive indicator, Sophie waited and wondered if this relaxed being would ever even bother to show any sign of refusal of her intent?

Is, or rather was that a soccer ball? Frowning as she found something with a bleached colour that could only have been white once upon a time, from a patch of overgrown ivy Sophie pulled out a largely deflated and rather well-worn mass of stitched leather, which she spent several seconds inspecting. Seems I’m finding mounting evidence for the ‘This was once a park’ theory… Frowning slightly as she ran her hands across the ball before turning it over in her hand, the young woman frowned as she felt something rattle inside the broken toy and decided to dip her fingers within. There’s something inside here… Probing something that children had likely once kicked around for a few seconds before feeling something hard inside, Miss Sequoia slowly pulled out a couple of objects that felt like rocks that someone or something had shoved within this toy. Dragging them out and into the dull light that could pierce the treeline, Sophie looked at a pair of gems that seemed different in almost every way. Have these been here since the accident, or did someone use this ball as a hiding place after? Noticing that one was round and like a marble whilst the other had a noticeable point at either end rather like a diamond, Sophie frowned as she wondered why they had been stored within a burst soccer ball, but was given little time to speculate before something shrieked behind her. SKREEEEEEEEE!!!! “W-What?” The young woman startled as something small screeched and hopped down to the ground from a tree, Sophie spun around to find herself staring at a small but spirited little monkey that seemed to be wearing a shrub as its hat. Pansage? But they’re usually more playful than aggressive? The scholar able to quickly guess the species that was snarling at her and surprised when she did, this little chimp with the leafy tail was a native of her homeland of Unova and she had seen quite a few in her time. What confused her however being the manner of an ape that was always seen as one of the more friendly types of Pokémon, it seemed that Miss Sequoia had done something to upset this beast and quickly guessed what it might be. “Were these yours?” The green monkey hissing at her and jumping up and down angrily, while the wordless language that the Pokémon used seemed to confirm the belief of the blue eyed beauty, it gave her little more time to offer an apology or make amends before launching forward with a wicked swipe with its impressive agility. “Hold on a second!” Sophie flinching and ducking down more out of reflex than anything as she found a paw let loose on a wild course that could have had her eye out, she dipped to one side with the soccer ball and gems in one hand as her other reached for her belt. “It looks like you need to cool off a bit!” Flicking her wrist as she summoned the first of her fighters today, while Miss Sequoua was not over the moon at the idea of attacking a little ape over the misunderstanding, it seemed she had no choice. Opting to rely upon a member of her menagerie that would have a clear advantage in this fight, whilst she had the option of calling upon a hot headed fire Pokémon, she had instead chosen to rely on the mix of frost and flora that was her Snover. To her, this seemed a better choice to preserve this odd environment. “It’s pretty wound up, and rather fast, Aspen!” The larger Pokémon that the professor had summoned hopping to the ground and quickly having its attention drawn by the angry little monkey, Sophie offered a word of warning as their adversary hopped back into the trees, making them rustle as it ran through them to try and confuse the duo. It’s gambit at least seeming to leave the direction from where it would strike a mystery, the trainer gasped as something small shot from the leaves and struck her fighter but found it far too small to even be their small statured enemy. “That’s a Leech Seed!” Instead something that looked like a bean flicked from the canopy and hitting her Snover in the back, for a second Miss Sequoia thought her partner had been hit by a seed bullet until the tiny item sent roots shooting into the body of Aspen. The snow dusted ally of Sophie groaning as this wicked example of battle botany proved a burden, the young woman winced as she saw it seem to drink away some of her frosty fighter’s strength and then send the energy shooting toward the trees, yet wasn’t about to waste that clue. “Quick, send an Icy Wind along with that energy to knock that monkey from the trees!” Using the energy trail like a bullseye to point out where their foe was hiding, with a grunt Aspen seemed to confirm her intentions and sent his arms forward like the winds of a bird, kicking up a sudden sub-zero blast that shot into the canopy. The leaves that fell within this arctic wake left crisp and white with frost as a bitter cold surged into the branches, after a screaming hiss their ape adversary was sent spiralling down from its perch and hit the ground hard, shivering from both the cold and the shock of being knocked out of the tree. “Now look, I only found these stones by accident, I wasn’t trying to steal them from you!” Sophie hoping that the prone Pansage would be more willing now to listen to reason, though she tried to explain the situation to the fallen creature, it didn’t seem to want to buy what she was trying to sell. Instead doing something rather curious after she spoke, once the little monkey had found its feet it seemed to duck down into the grassy growth and shine with a verdant aura. Is it… Drawing on the plants around it? Sophie somewhat perplexed to see the terrain twitching as a green aura seemed to swell from the ground, the Pansage gave a wild howl as its body was coated in energy that the plants around it seemed to give up, seemingly invigorated despite the hurt it had already suffered. Beating its hands against the ground a few times before gesturing forward, suddenly the grass that separated the churlish chimp seemed to explode with growth and shoot from the floor, wrapping around Aspen and pulling at him with such force that the Snover was slammed into the ground. It was an impressive display of power from someone so small, but unfortunately the monkey was up against the wrong foe.
“A nice ability, but Aspen is as in touch with nature as much as you are… Grass Attacks barely phase him!” Miss Sequoia offering a mix of compliment and explanation as her partner grunted and lurched free of the green strands that had bound him, as their enemy blinked in confusion the eyes of her Snover shone with an intent that made him look keen on settling this match. “He’s acting tough but he can’t have much left, use Ice Shard!” Sophie sensing the desire of her Pokémon and approving of his intent, as the frosty tree thrust a spiked arm out and began to grow crystals of what looked to be glass out of the air itself, the young woman accepted that her enemy would need to be taken down the hard way. Squeezing her fist as she watched the monkey look at the attack with a sense of continuing confusion for just a second before it was launched, the barrage of hard, cold ice quickly seemed to quell the creature and leave it as a quivering mass on the floor.
“Nice work Aspen, you did well!” Sophie nodding at the wide eyes of her ally in encouragement before letting her eye line fall over the form of her foe, after bobbing her head again the beauty sent a sphere spinning toward it. Intrigued by the unusual ability it had shown after being hit by Aspen’s attack and also wondering how the aggression the ape had shown factored into it, the young woman hoped that her luck with promising samples today was going to continue…

“Whew… Good job, Aspen, you’ve earned a break after that…” Their enemy trapped, with a sigh of relief now that the pressure was off her, Sophie Sequoia lifted up the Pokéball from which her wintery warrior had been released and pulled him back inside it, expecting he’d been left rather fatigued. The frosty tree disappearing in a beam of laser light, after shaking the broken ball she had found again to check if anything else was hidden and discovering she had already retrieved what she could, the field researching femme studied the stones she had dragged from it earlier. I’d have to test them back at the lab but… These definitely look like Mega and Z stones to me? Shocked to have found those special tools of the trainer tucked away inside a discarded toy, while the young woman felt a little bit guilty for swiping them from the monkey she had just captured, she decided ultimately that they had much greater value as a research item than as a treasure or toy of a creature that had no idea how to use them. SKREEEEE-EE-EEEE-EEEEE! Dropping the seemingly empty ball to the ground beside her and giving the prizes she had found one final look over, all of a sudden a screeching sound gave Miss Sequoia a strong feeling of Deja-vu as she found herself being screeched at by yet another monkey, though this one she was slightly less inclined to reason with. Here we go again… What is it, a brother or something The centre of Sophie’s brow tightening as she eyed a blue cousin of the Pansage she had fought snarling at her in a manner that much reminded her of the minutes before, the young woman sighed before finding she had to throw herself through the air to avoid an attack. This watery variant instead aiming debris from around it rather than its paws, the professor ducked a few lumps of stone and hard earth which were left to startle a blue eyed bird before before she unleashed a champion to defend herself from it. “You’re up, Lambchop!” Feeling a little bit less enthusiastic about the fight that lay ahead of her perhaps thanks to the familiarity that the species her foe carried brought, Sophie attempted to sound as encouraging as she could as a sheep sprang from its pokéball .The Mareep of Miss Sequoia letting loose a small bleat of surprise as a clump of earth whizzed past its head, with arms like wheels of a speeding chariot the enraged ape continued to hurl any and everything it could find on the floor until it finally found a mark with them. “Ouch! You OK?” A stone flung right into the shoulder of Lambchop with force enough to make her stumble backwards, Sophie hoped that the fluffiness that covered her companion might have softened the blow a little as the sheep regained her composure after giving a low groan of pain. “Perhaps best to finish this one off quickly! Use Thunderbolt, Lammy!” The potency of her partner and the type advantage that her Mareep held guiding the judgement of the pink haired woman, with a nod the trainer told her fleecy fighter to unleash the strongest move in her arsenal against this muck-flinging monkey. Lambchop certainly appearing keen on entertaining the notion that Sophie had shared and sending a crackle of energy through herself as she built her attack, after only a moment the body of the fluffy fighter was glowing with golden energy as their foe seemed to simply goggle and wonder what was happening. The electricity that the Mareep had built suddenly seeming to spring skyward, a moment of confusion seemed to pass for the monkey as the attack rebounded off the clouds above them before being sent back down with the force of a hammer. It’s not the most sporting move, but it’s certainly effective! Sophie feeling the hairs on her neck and arms seem to stand up as the air around her was split by an electrical harpoon, as energy seeped outward and seemed to tickle the skin of the pink haired professor the impact on their foe appeared far more pronounced. Body blackened by a blast that seemed to have been given an extra ounce of oomph as it dropped from the heavens, the Panpour seemed to have been stunned so thoroughly that for several seconds it seemed unable to even fall to the floor. The shock it had suffered eventually subsiding as the realms of slumber beckoned for the beast, with a soft thud a monkey that had been turned from blue to black hit the ground and quivered before Miss Sequoia in unconscious submission. Though I suppose it would be cruel to keep it parted from the one before… Seemed like they were connected? The trainer taking pity on the creature and perhaps wanting to see if the grass and water variants of this ape line actually were connected, with a snap of her hand Sophie sent a fresh trap spinning toward her target, aiming to snag her second simian of the day…

“Oh my!” The eyes and mouth of Miss Sequoia widening, as the ball she had trapped that troublesome monkey in was taken to her PC, the attention of the girl was stolen away by a strange glow emanating from her fluffy friend. The woods around them seeming to grow bright as Lambchop took on a white silhouette, as light rained around them Sophie watched as her partner evolved to a new form. “Congratulations, Lambchop!” Smirking as she looked over the now bipedal buddy, Sophie found herself with a hint of disappointment when she discovered that this stronger form boasted a smaller covering of that wonderful fluff, but was happy with her new Flaaffy’s overall colouring. The partner of Miss Sequoia now pink like her own hair, this vivid colour seemed enough of a compromise to make the evolution that Lambchop had undergone worthwhile visually. The metamorphic process tending to be one that made scary appearances accompany the new strength a Pokémon might possess, the young woman was satisfied to see that in the case of her sheep the cuteness had been retained even with this increase in potency. “Wanna have a chance to get used to that new body?” Tucking the orb from which her now pink partner had sprang onto her belt at the nod of her companion, the explorer decided to keep her partner out in the open for the time being. Usually keeping her Pokémon inside the spherical homes she carried, it was nice every once in a while to give them the chance to walk around and with her time increasingly dedicated to lab work lately, Miss Sequoia thought she had better make the most of this field study while she could. So, with a pink sheep at her side, the young woman continued to study the plants and ruins around herself. ~-~-~-~ Dedicated to Mayor Arturious Krombold Windhelm… Wiping away the grime from a small plaque that sat upon a shaft she had almost fallen over quite a few minutes later as Lambchop poked around a few meters away, Sophie lifted her arm up and used the camera built into her holographic watch-phone to take a snap of this piece of evidence. Sure enough in her estimation by this point that she had made a mental plan to confirm these facts once she got back to the lab, the girl was so lost in her musing that it was only when her companion gave a low warning cry that Miss Sequoia realized the two of them weren’t alone. “What is it, Lammy?” Looking up from her task as her freshly evolved Flaaffy seemed to almost growl, as the attention of the keen minded researcher returned to her environment, she hardly needed an answer to that question. The sound of something shuffling and rushing through the trees that surrounded this little find enough to easily catch her attention once she had broken out of ‘theory mode’, Sophie tightened her fist as she wondered what exactly seemed to have the duo surrounded. “If you’re trying to be stealthy, I think you’ve failed…” Either a monster like Onix that was large and long enough to wrap around this place with ease or a group seeming to have come across them, the blue eyes of the beauty shot from one side of the small clearing to another as she tried to spy what was making such a clamour. “Wah!” Gasping in surprise as something finally broke the tension, as something round and orange exploded from the overgrowth and flung past the face of the professor, Sophie felt her heart pound before realizing that the thing that bounced off a tree was not a monster but rather a ball. A basketball? An inflated orb that seemed to have been kept in a much better condition than the punctured item before hopping over the ground at her feet, the professor found herself pleased not to have found a brightly coloured Pokémon leaping out at her. After all, with the run she had today, she had expected a Pansear to fall in her lap at almost any moment! “I’ve really had enough of having things thrown at me today!” Taking a breath to compose herself before speaking out against this pattern that her day had followed, whilst trying to show more firmness than anger in her voice Miss Sequoia called out to her still hidden enemies, but illicited only a series of grunts that sounded together like a short chuckle. “Lambchop, see if your Discharge will dispel some of this shyness!” Shaking her head at the lacking reveal and deciding that she would have to take the initiative, with a swipe of her hand, Sophie tried to assert some control over the situation. The Pokémon partner she had with her seeming keen on testing out what she could do with her new body, while the patch of fur she could command was smaller than before it seemed no less potent as it began to crackle with energy. The area that surrounded Sophie beginning to glow with golden colour as a wake of electricity was sent shooting out and into the trees around them, the young woman felt her skin tingle and a shudder pass through her as lightning slipped past her body on either side and provoked a keener response from their unknown assailants. Heavy groans and grunts ringing from the treeline, after a moment or two the sluggish bodies of a quartet emerged, looking temporarily stunned by the strike but far from beaten. Passimian?! Almost feeling a sense of regret as her adversaries revealed themselves, having dealt with only the gentle and small enemies so far today, the sight of four big and strong Pokémon sent yet another shiver through Miss Sequoia and instinctively her hand sped toward her belt. Snatching up a pair of balls in order to offer her lone lamb a little bit of backup against these heavy odds, despite the shock that these apes had suffered they still appeared to be rather speedy in their response. Stomping into the ‘arena’ before showing off a brilliant speed combined with a brutal sense of teamwork, to her horror Sophie watched on as the warriors leapt forward with the timing of a trained swim team and lashed out at the outnumbered sheep with a series of wicked swipes that quickly made the sheep slump into the ground… Notes: 1000+ Continuing in Follow Up Post

“I’m sorry, Lambchop!” The eyes of Miss Sequoia stinging as she spotted her newly evolved partner being beaten so thoroughly, she moved her hand to recall the fluffy fighter before she suffered any more injury at the hands of this gang and wiped away a pair of tears. They’re fast… And strong! Heartbroken at the hurt that had been inflicted upon her Flaaffy but forcing herself to stay focused on the battle, the howling chest beating of her enemies gave Sophie a second or two to compose herself and concoct a plan to best these powerful pugilists.
I’m going to have to beat them to the punch if I hope to have a chance of beating them! Shaking her head and deciding she needed to subdue this group as quickly as she could, with four strong fighting types to battle, the professor knew that these physically gifted enemies would easily give as good as they got and she needed to rely on her fastest and perhaps most fragile friends in order to gain the upper hand. Whipping out a couple of Pokéball’s and hoping that the swiftest of her team would be able to overwhelm them before they got a chance to reply, Sophie let out a slow and slightly shaky breath as a blue frog and a moustachioed magician entered the fray, much to the confusion of her enemies.
“Every moment is critical, so fast as you can, hit them with a Dazzling Gleam, Esper!” Calling out to the spoon carrying Kadabra first of all as she hoped to take advantage of as many weak points these brawny brutes held, while the move that Miss Sequoia called for was not exactly the specialty of her psychic fighter she hoped he could bridge the gap with the pure force he could command.
Esper nodding at the order he was given and launching straight into his attack, the Passimian got over their confusion quickly and launched themselves forward, looking to dish out more of what had overwhelmed Lambchop. However, as fast and agile as they were, it wasn’t a match for the almost precognitive pace of the psychic Pokémon. A bright light seeming to explode outward as if Esper were some kind of flashbang, the impact rattled the apes to their very core and left them their very core, yet Sophie was not about to revel in her victory just yet.
“Now, while they’re off balance, use Surf to wipe them out Kunoichi!” Sensing that the attack of her Kadabra had done a lot of damage to this enemy group but wanting to make sure the job was done, the second fighter that Miss Sequoia had summoned sprang forward and with her brought a tide seemingly out of nowhere. A blast of water cresting with the small but sprightly amphibian at its peak, as the primate pugilists reeled from the first attack they were subjected a second strike that sent them spilling everywhere.
Blue liquid buffeting the bodies of the brutes and slamming them into the trees and ground, though the Frogadier landed on the now wet ground ready for a second round, it seemed not to be necessary. The bunch of beasts left quivering in shock or knocked unconscious by the sudden and surging barrage that the duo of Sophie had employed, the pink haired girl let out a long and slow breath before reaching into one of her pockets and pulling out a fresh trap for each of them.
I’m not so sure I should leave this group free to attack anything they like. Launching a ball toward each of the Passimian in turn and aiming to trap them for her own, whilst the gang hadn’t demonstrated any particularly quality that made them seem worthwhile test subjects, Miss Sequoia still felt compelled to capture them. Worried about and perhaps still a little ticked off by the way they had bullied her poor Lambchop, the girl did not feel so inclined to allow this troupe to continue to run rampant regardless of their remote locale…

I hope Lambchop is alright… A quartet of crimson orbs vanishing from the soggy ground in front of her, the urgency of the fight that had proceeded her capture had inflicted Sophie Sequoia with a hint of breathlessness, though she was far more concerned with the state of her fluffy friend than herself. Lifting up the Pokéball that she had recalled her Flaaffy into and staring into the translucent lid at the miniaturized form of a trembling sheep, the pink haired girl knew she was definitely in need of some attention and reached into one of her pockets for a potion. Unfortunately, though, before she could use it she was waylaid by an intrusion that had probably been rather late coming.
Here we go again… Such was the par for the course that her day had been that the screeching arrival of a flame-coloured monkey brought the blue eyed beauty more irritation than interest, with eyes that seemed to carry a little less of their usual shine Sophie stared at the Pansear that had leapt onto the scene for a second or two before using the minimum level of commitment to deflect it.
“Kunoichi?” A pair of her Pokémon already outside their balls and the fine froggy female part of the duo more than capable of dealing with a challenger of this level, with a little croak of obedience the aquatic ally of Miss Sequoia sprang forward. Vaulting into the air with the speed and height that even the monkey seemed to find astounding, from the mouth of amphibian spewed a torrent of water that hit like something meant to disperse rioters. A surging flow of liquid exploding from above the ape and sending it crashing into the trees, Sophie barely batted an eyelid as her new challenger was left quivering on the ground in defeat and sent a Pokéball spinning toward it rather nonchalantly.
“Might as well at least try to get the set, I suppose?” Casting a look to her Kadabra and Frogadier in turn as the orb wrapped around the shape of the searing simian, with little regard to the outcome of her capture Sophie set about seeing to her sheep, taking out some salve and applying it to the released body of her Flaaffy as the orb struggled on the ground a few feet away…
