I think I’d rather enjoy an all-girl world… ‘Lesbians’ don’t sound so bad to me? Smirking at the notion that the other girl had raised as she moved over to investigate whatever she had knocked free, though labels for certain concepts of sexuality were still a rather new thing to her, Saya hadn’t really found much objection to the notion of having a girlfriend or wife of her own? Certainly by no means a hater of male relations but turned off the idea of marriage when she was younger due to the lower status that women were expected to hold in it, it felt to Miss Tachibana that a relationship that only involved the fairer sex would be well, fairer? Saya had certainly found the idea of cooking for the redhead nearby far more tolerable than she ever had the man she once had been arranged to marry.
“Oh, I wonder what this is?” Ducking down as she found the small and round thing that her vigour had sent over their ‘site’, Miss Tachibana scooped up something that seemed glassy like a large bead and still carried a few pieces of stone stuck to it.
“It seems rather pretty?" Kneeling on the earth they had uncovered and holding this marble-like item up into the light, Saya could see it shine with a mix of magenta and yellow rather than being perfectly clear, and dusted off some debris before holding it out toward her host.
"Do you know what it is, Yumi-san?” Never having seen anything like this item that she had accidentally dug up but finding it to be rather enchanting, like so many situations recently the dark haired girl hoped that Yumi had a little more expertise than her?

Peering over, leaning atop her shovel's handle as Saya focused on grabbing what had flown from the rocks a moment ago, as Yumi started to realize what it was her shoulders instinctively tensed a little, but not enough to really be noticeable through her clothes. She let out a faint chuckle as Saya seemed to turn the focus to her as a question...Saya could be naive sometimes, and still not trusting Mega evolution perfectly since her incident, a brief temptation to lie sprouted before it was quickly put down.
"That's er...well specifically I'd say that's..." She hummed under her breath, she used to have an encyclopedic knowledge of these stones but...it HAD been a while. "Mawilite...maybe aerodactylite...its a special stone that you can use with a certain pokemon to...bring out it's potential? Its a bit of risky business though..." She shrugged and smiled. "Pretty valuable, whether you wanna sell it or keep it. Damn lucky find I'd say!~"

Mawilite? Aerodactylite? Not exactly understanding what the possible names that Yumi gave her for the stone she had found beyond a more general understanding that they sounded mineral-esque, Miss Tachibana wondered how a gem might make one of her monsters stronger? Where they supposed to be adorned with it in some manner and it would lend them strength, or maybe swallow it like the supplements she had received when she first came to Veria? Saya could only imagine, but as her friend continued, Saya felt she had only one choice in what to do with it.
“Valuable, you say? Then surely I should pass it on to you?” Looking over the item again when Yumi mentioned its supposed worth, without much of a second thought the kneeling woman extended her hand to her friend again, offering her the item they had found.
“It was found on your grounds after all, my discovery was more accidental than anything?” Holding the gem out to the redhead and looking into her eye, Saya felt she had little claim over the stone to begin with. After all, if one happened to slaughter someone else’s livestock, it did not become your property did it? It seemed natural that something from the ground on Yumi’s island belonged to her, or at least that was the way Miss Tachibana felt.
“Besides, you have allowed me to exploit your hospitality extensively, and it is the least that I can do to pay a little of that debt back?” Admitting a little bit of the duty that she felt she was due to return to the other woman, after springing back onto her feet Saya attempted to seize one of the hands of her humble host to force the stone into it, unable to even consider keeping it for her own if Yumi desired it… |
