{ } A tall man walked through the underground tunnels that snaked through the land of Veria. The figure was wearing a white button down short sleeved shirt, the collar neatly folded, and only a black V neck covering most of his chest, with designer pants meant to endure scrapes against the rough rock. The man's actual body language and facial expressions weren't as classy as his face. The only way anyone could describe him as is... disinterested. He couldn't understand why people would prefer taking these tunnels instead of his great train. They took longer, were even less well lit, and it was in no way as comfortable as even the CHEAPEST room on Sinclair.
He sighed as he focused back on the task at hand. His mother's birthday was coming up, and the man, Asche Sinclair, had been hoping to find a gem to gift to her. After all she had gifted him her most prized gem years ago, it was only fair he returned the favor by giving her something to add to her collection. No amount of gems could ever equal that gift, but it was the thought that counted. However, Ryujo couldn't help but feel something was... off right now. Like something was near by, but he couldn't sense its thoughts like usual.

{ } No more than a three steps after he acknowledged the thing that was somehow hiding its thoughts, he felt a sudden influx of thoughts, so much so that he froze in place. Someone was scared, and every word that went through their mind pertained to this. Where was their mother? Where was the exit? Where were they in the tunnel? What was IN the tunnel? But something seemed off about it. There was no calm point between the thoughts at all, not even a moment of rest for their brain. Something wasn't right... at all.
Asche looked at the source of the thoughts, a small child. A girl who couldn't have been over seven alone, and fairly clean. She would've had to gotten lost recently, not even stuck inside the cave for a day. Despite his... discomfort, Asche couldn't leave a child alone, especially in a cave. Once he was within ten feet of her, he would smile and make eye contact, the girl looking at him with frightened eyes. "Would you like help out of here?" Asche wouldn't try to have a polite conversation at the start, he'd focus on getting the girl somewhere safer, then comfort her. She wouldn't speak, only nodding. "Then take my hand and follow me." As soon as his hand extended outwards and the girl's hand gripped his, Asche instantly knew something was wrong. The grip was far too strong, and this became even more obvious when the girl flipped him over her head as if he was a paper weight. Asche's body flew through the air with almost no resistance to the forces throwing it, like a weight lifter throwing a small rock. Slamming against the wall, Asche would feel the air in his lungs forced from his body. He stared up at the girl with shock as her form seemed to flicker before becoming the infamous pokemon: Zoroark.
Of course it was a dark type. Certainly explained why its thoughts seemed too well scattered. Asche would waste no time, taking out a pokeball and throwing out his newest employee. From the ball would sprout a dragonite, a look of joy on its face as it flew around the new environment with the curiosity of a new born. This fit the pokemon, as it had only hatched a few days ago. It was an extraordinary site, seeing a pokemon evolve twice in the span of a day. Such joy at being surrounded by other dragon types, most fully evolved, and having two siblings, the pokemon was so over joyed it evolved minutes after hatching, and after seeing a practice battle, had such a drive to be useful to Asche it evolved right after the battle. It was a unique situation to say the least. Asche would waste no time however, immediately speaking to his pokemon. "Focus. Use Dragon Rush on the Zoroark." The Dragonite smiled and nodded, giving a small roar of approval as it did a dance in the air, one Asche recognized. Dragon Dance, and it wasn't even aware it was doing it. He had to admit it was amazing how well this pokemon had been bred. Without warning it turned towards the Zoroark and dashed directly at it. The Zoroark smirked as it lept over the dragonite giving it only a few feet between itself and the wall, as if it knew the Dragonite had no way of hitting it now. Asche returned the grin, much to the Zoroark's confusion. Then it turned noticing the Dragonite turn on a dime and slam the pokemon into the ground, knocking it out. Dragonites had been serpents before evolution, and many assumed that the poke didn't keep that agility with the sudden increase in size, although Asche knew better. Ashe threw a pokeball, capturing the little devil in the ball, in hopes of either taming it or giving it away to another trainer. While a dark type would make a nice edition to his tower, he had to admit he never fully trusted dark types, being the tricksters they were. This one seemed particularly battle hungry.
As he went to pick up the pokeball, he noticed something, a small dragon scale on the ground. He looked up as his pokemon, completely unaware the Zoroark had hit it while leaping over it. Of course it did barely everything thanks to Dragonite's second set of absorbent scales, but it was still something Asche made sure to take note of, in case he ran into another dark type. For now he decided to keep the scale, after all dragon scales were very very valuable.

{ } Asche sighed heavily, continuing his uncomfortable stroll through the tunnels. He knew there would be an exit to his left soon enough, and he frankly had spent more time than he wanted in here anyways. Of course that wasn't exactly hard, merely being in the tunnels was more than he was comfortable with. But regardless, he would be glad to be rid of this place as soon as possible, although his Dragonite had other plans.
It was much like his Swablu, exploring every new place it saw, although unlike Swablu it had no problem leaving him behind so it could see more. Infact he could sense it found... something, although he wasn't sure what the item was or if it was good or bad. Whatever it was, it was causing his Dragonite to fly back as fast as it could. Asche would stop where he was, a few feet behind the corner his Dragonite would come darting out from, a strange pearl in its mouth. As it skidded to a halt, barely managing to not tackle its own trainer, the Dragonite would hand Asche the strange item, one that Asche could at the least gift to his mother if he did not find a better one. At least he had actually done what he set out to do in the first place.MADE BY VEL OF GS Claiming the Gengarite
