It was like there was someone deliberately listening in and out to make her life miserable.
No sooner had she laid down the items in question, it did attract a swarm, yes—but it wasn’t the one she was looking for. In fact, it happened to be a swarm of Eevee.
Never had Andrea been so disappointed to see the fluffy creatures. While she liked them, yes, she was on the hunt for something else. Something pink and fluffy.
Not these. Sighing, as she knew the three brown foxes, led by what suspiciously appeared to be a pair of Leafeon, were bound to cause havoc on the surroundings, she had to act fast.
“Alright. I never wanted to commit such acts of murder, but you leave me no choice…” she muttered, popping two marbles to full size and watching as a Charmander and a Rufflet made their entry.
“Good morning, you two. We’ve got some house-cleaning to do,” she remarked, pointing at the family of five, before giving the two a sheepish grin in apology.
“Raine, get ready with a Dragon Dance, and then move in with a Fire Fang on the Leafeons you see! Julian, prep up with a Tailwind first, and get ready. Just use Bulk Up, let Raine have first shot at the two Grass-types over there. Shouldn’t take too long.”The Rufflet nodded, flapping its stubby wings as fast as it could manage; while the Charmander prepared itself and boosted its stats with
Dragon Dance. The Leafeon pair didn’t take to the intruders appearing too well, however—and began to whip up a storm of
Magical Leaf attacks, before sending the combined attack towards the incoming Charmander!
Not one to be deterred, the Fire-type took the Grass-type attack head-on; not minding much of the damage as it then bared a pair of burning fangs, taking a running start and leaping into the air—before coming down hard on the first Leafeon!
“Again, Raine! Use your Fire Fang and keep it under control! Julian, keep going. Build up your power with Bulk Up,” she continued, watching as the dance began to unfold between the Charmander and the Leafeon.
Not one to be deterred, the Leafeon that had been bitten quickly used
Swords Dance in an attempt to raise its power, before unleashing a second swarm of leaves at the Charmander—this time using
Razor Leaf in an attempt to deter it. While the whipping swirl of leaves did hurt the Charmander somewhat, it forged on, bearing its flaming maw once more and using another
Fire Fang attack on the attacking Grass-type! Knowing that they weren’t going to be stopping—at least not for a long while, she continued,
“Alternate between your Fire Fang, and your Dragon Rage! Don’t let them get the better of you! Make use of the speed you have! Use your Dragon Dance while you’re at it!”Nodding at her owner’s directions, the Charmander then slipped into the familiar motions of the dance once again, as the Leafeon kicked up a sudden cloud of dust into its eyes—it had used
Sand Attack! Howling in pain, the Fire-type stepped back—and this time unloaded a blast of draconic energy at the Leafeon, who’d been preparing to suck the life out of it with its
Giga Drain. Before the energy-sapping attack could hit, however—the Charmander had seemingly vanished from where it stood; only to reappear in a blur of red behind the Leafeon and sinking its flaming maw right where it hurt.
“Keep it up! Fire Fang, and Dragon Dance if you need to! Raine, you seriously need the speed to keep up with ‘em!” she continued, hoping that the racket wouldn’t attract the attention of whoever owned this garden she was trespassing in. Again and again, the Leafeon tried to attack the Charmander, but the more and more
Fire Fang attacks went flying—and soon enough, the first Leafeon was down.
…which left the problem of the second one, of course.
At this point, though, the Charmander had used enough of its
Dragon Dance to be speedy enough on its feet, and then turned its attention to the second Leafeon, who’d also launched into the same defense—a couple of
Swords Dance boosts, followed by several pelting swarms of
Razor Leaf attacks. The Charmander then braved through the hailstorm of green, bracing itself and then raining merry hell down on the second Leafeon with
Fire Fang, after
Fire Fang—even if it had missed a couple of times due to the Sand Attack from earlier, it was still angry enough to provoke its wrath.
Soon enough, both Leafeon had been knocked down and out on the grassy grounds, which then left the three Eevees… and with one whistle, the Charmander made her way back to Andrea’s side.
“Julian, you’re up next. Let’s overwhelm these three Eevees as fast as we can, we can’t afford to get caught out here!” she continued, this time letting the Rufflet take the center stage.
“Tailwind again, this time it’s your stage! And after that, use your Sky Drop!” she added, watching as the little bird then all but shot forward, eager for a good bit of smacking.
No sooner had it stirred up the
Tailwind for a boost in speed, it then flew high into the sky—leaving the three Eevee confused. Where had their target gone? One of the three had decided to use
Swift in an attempt to catch it by surprise upon landing—and while the Rufflet was surprised, yes, it had managed to grab another one of the Eevee that was about to sink its teeth and take a
Bite out of the Rufflet, bringing it higher into the sky—and then letting it drop, rather unceremoniously, atop the first Eevee’s head.
“Well, I didn’t know Julian was a vindictive little shit,” she said with a hint of glee in her voice, nodding as the Rufflet came soaring back down.
“Bulk Up once more, and this time, use your Slash attack! Take ‘em by surprise! Alternate between Slash, and Sky Drop if you have to!” she added, hoping that she made sense—and the Flying-type then went off to do its little thing, cawing in glee at the prospect of finally being able to go all-out. As the third Eevee then prepared to use a
Baby Doll-Eyes on it, the bird had vanished—having switched the turn order and using
Sky Drop instead of Slash first, this time picking up the other Eevee and dropping it right on the third one’s head!
Well, I didn’t expect Julian to do that, but okay… whatever works, works… she thought to herself, grinning as her Rufflet decided to play a game of bait-and-switch with
Sky Drop, always keeping the three Eevees guessing as to who’d end up taking a sudden tumble from the skies. Once the three had been sufficiently clobbered enough, the Rufflet then switched to an all-out
Slash attack, landing hit, after hit, after hit on the three Eevees, who’d still tried to retaliate with all manner of
Swift,
Bite, and in some cases,
Quick Attack!
It didn’t take too long for the Rufflet to eventually knock the three out, and seeing as the garden they’d decided to search in had pretty much become a mess, Andrea then slipped out of there, motioning for the Rufflet and the Charmander to follow her.
Charmander knocks out 2 Leafeon, Rufflet knocks out three Eevee.
