Horizons is officially CLOSED. The board will remain accessible as an archive, but staff has moved on. If you're looking for a new Pokemon RP, try Lucky Strike or any number of others.
Welcome to Veria!
Pokémon Horizons is an expansive RP driven by member-planned plots and regular site events more than any singular site-wide plot, meaning there is always something to do and always room for new ideas.
From classic Pokémon staples to simple slice-of-life to grandiose encounters with Legendary Pokémon, there's a little something for everyone. We've been open since December 2015 and are always eager to welcome new friends~
Snuck into the caves by Mia's friends like usual, they were a bit...rougher, with his minecart this time. Was Mia upset with him? He did beat her at Pokken Tournament DX the last time they played but Mia never seemed the type to hold a grudge...eh. Who knows. He healed from whatever she wanted to do to him anyway so he wouldn't linger on it, moving on into the caves to see what he could find, humming quietly to himself and hoping he'd find something fun on his little journey. Maybe there were some cool z crystals he didn't have yet.
Venturing into the tunnels as per usual, Niso noticed they seemed to be running out of natural ores and gems down this path. He may have to ask Mia to get them to drop him off in a different tunnel set next time. As for now though, it seemed what he wasn't getting in loot, he was getting in pokemon. A little trubbish being picked on by a Banette eh?~ He was looking for at least one of those anyway, and the other was certainly a nice little bit of icing on the cake.
"Grubbin you take the Trubbish, the Banette is all yours Pawniard~"
The two Pokemon by his side took their targets quickly, the Grubbin rushing at the pile of trash, using his acrobatics to rush in from the side and take out the Trubbish from the bullying Bannette. Both Pokemon were confused by the sudden interruption, but before the more staggered Trubbish could even find it's feet, it was taken out by the following X scizzor.
Banette had a little more time to find it's feet from the interruption, but the challenging call from the Pawniard had his attention more than the interrupting Grubbin. Fine. You little weirdos wanted a fight? He'll pick on you instead! Rushing in with a ghostly shadow ball, the Bannette slammed it into the ground beside the Pawniard, only for the steel pokemon to dip swiftly to the side and slam a Night Slash back into the face of the Bannette, outclassing it with it's type, and swift movements, a few night slashes later and the Bannette was ready for capture.
Deeper into the tunnels now and Niso was even sure he couldn't hear the usual clunks of miners working deeper in the caves...was it a bank holiday or something...did they have Bank holidays in Veria? He'd been a student here for a year, he should know that. Shaking his head he kept moving deeper, his Pawniard and Grubbin staying close beside him as he tossed a small Z-crystal between his hands. There was a small scratching sound above his head but it didn't grasp his attention until-
Lurching forward as a Slakoth that had been blending in with the brown walls and the darkness landed on his head, Niso grasped it and flung it forward, wondering what on earth a Slakoth was doing in the caves...but when a Liepard and Pancham came to back it up, he supposed there wasn't much reason to question why things were in the caves. It seemed to just attract everything with it's shinies.
"Grubbin, Pancham! Pawniard, Slakoth and Liepard!"
The pokemon agreed to their target's, the Grubbin squirming around the Pancham's attacks as it tried to punch down into the earth around it. The tiny bug Pokemon didn't have much it could do to a fighting type, but with it's squirmy nature it managed to get the Pancham to wear itself out over time, eventually striking with an X-Scissor and allowing Niso to throw a pokeball, another gift for Mia.~
As for the Slakoth and Liepard, the Slakoth was easy enough to take out, a strong Night slash across the face was all it really took, but sadly not before the Slakoth managed to get out an infectious yawn. Crap...Already started to teeter on the edge of sleep, the Pawniard shifted left and right as it tried to maintain it's sense of balance, the Liepard getting a good few strikes in before the Pawniard finally passed out, but thanks to it's dual typing, it was easy enough for it to endure the attacks till it woke up, finally retaliating with a strong metal claw to allow Niso to attempt the capture.
Heading deeper into the tunnels Niso was surprised to see the fishes that swam threw the air. Flashbacks of Mr Fish biting down on his arm filling him and an instinctive flinch running through him. Releasing a ralts and a nincada just as a little insurance. They seemed to be mainly circling a houndour that had wondered into their territory anyway so it wasn't like there was anything to worry about if he just passed by them quiet-LY
The bonk of a slakoth falling out of fucking nowhere onto his head, Niso groaned and gripped his skull, trying to understand where the hell that had come from before it was clear all eyes were on him now. "Er...boys?~"
The Nincada and the Ralts took their battle poses, the ralts focusing on the slakoth first, firing it with a psychic blast to send it into the middle of the others. The Nincada threw up walls of dirt towards the electric eels, shooting them up one after another, knowing they couldn't hit the eels but it at least stopped their electrical attacks. With a sudden spin he fired off a few slashing attacks, cutting the electric eels out of the air as Ralts continued to pelt them each with psychic attacks. The Houndour threatened to cause a problem, but with a fairy attack from the ralts, it was taken down easily enough. With a cheeky smirk Niso started to find his greatballs, knowing a certain someone who might like these eels.
