The world gave me a second chance Izumi Yamamura Word Count: 810 OOC: Next round, I'll start setting up the NPC opponent teams for each person, using the spawn generator. |
A figure would walk through the door, and immediately saluted a man in front of him. The location was unknown, but for anyone who stepped into that room, they might have felt a sense of foreboding. The entire room seemed to give off the aura of a bad omen, and it all seemed to radiate from the man being saluted. Any Pokemon with good instincts would be able to sense trouble from this man a mile away.
"Sir, our work on the machine is complete. The data we collected from the field testing ones being destroyed has been fruitful to developing stronger tech."
"Good. Once they can be better mass-produced, we will begin the next step of the plan."
"And the group that has been destroying them, sir?"
"While they've been a burden, they at least held use to our cause. Now... They have outlived their usefulness to us.
Get rid of them. Now."
"Sir, do you mean..."
"Did I stutter? Kill them. Each one, by any means necessary. Do not leave a single one alive."
"Sir, isn't that a bit-"
"Is there a problem with how I run this organization?"
"N-no sir! It's just that some of us have become a bit concerned that lately your tactics have been more extreme - and especially far more than the old leader's, and-"
"There are mistakes that we... No, our former leader, that ensured our last failure... I will not make the same ones."
"Sir, some of us aren't able to stomach-"
"Night Slash."
"Wh-"
"Sir, what happened here?"
"Nothing of your concern, Fayga [Pronounced Fye-Ga]. I assume you've received your orders?"
"Yes, sir. It has been deployed, the trap is ready."
"Good. And before you leave... Do send someone to clean up this mess."
"Yes, sir."
"And please...” The cloaked man would remark as the Light member would check on their fallen comrade. He was still breathing, but his wounds were serious. Whatever had attacked him had done so with little care as to if he lived or died. "Remind the rest of the team that I am not their former leader. I will not show weakness as he did. Tell them to look to their comrades who do understand what has to be done, and grow a backbone... Or they will end up as he did."

Small strike teams had hit several locations, all wearing the uniform and garb of the "Team Light" that each person involved had dealt with in the past. One of which had been the ranch of Josh Dragomir and Izumi Yamamura. As the attempts at their lives were fought off, each strike team or assassin would flee the scene, leaving enough distance for the near-victims to give chase via whatever means benefited them. Each would be led just outside of Sinclair, to an open field a fair ways from civilization.
Their ranch had been attacked.
In a day off that his fiance was making sure he made the most of, Josh had been finally starting to get used to relaxing at him, and letting his body rest before getting back to work. This was something that thrilled his fiance, of course, though unfortunately... Many good things did not last. Such as today. A strike team of Team Light agents had attacked their homestead, and dealt it a measure of damage that would need to be repaired later. But the strike team had underestimated just how many trained Pokemon between the two Trainers were let out of their ball and allowed to roam the ranch freely. Josh's large number of Pokemon, many who were in their final forms and trained well for battle, by themselves were enough for the strike team, and they had been forced to flee soon after the Pokemon had realized their Trainer was in danger and had assembled en-masse. Josh and Izumi had grabbed a team and given chase soon after on Josh's Charizard, Fawkes.
Touching down in a field outside of Sinclair, Josh would dismount Fawkes and help his fiance, Izumi Yamamura as well as his partner, the Pikachu Lightning down before looking around, realizing they had lost their target.
"Blast..." He would growl. "We lost them. Where the hell did they go?"
