With the first night of the battle round arriving, Mia was ecstatic. Given it was the battle round, she abandoned the hostess attire she'd been wearing other nights in favor of her more usual attire (and bravado!). She held a strong grin as she strutted out onto the stage, egging the applause of the Liggsian audience on as she strode out before them, and giving a big bow to them all before finally addressing them.

"Who's ready for some fancy fights!?~" The crowd cheered and her grin grew brighter. "Once again the Verian coordination associations have decided to try out the battle round for this year's event! So I need to hear you all cheer nice and loud to make sure we see more of these amazing battles in the future!" The crowd continued to cheer, even as Mia's Pokemon-- a Hitmonchan and Infernape in particular-- walked on from the opposite side to join her on the stage.

"Now, this isn't about being the strongest, but to see the beauty in a fight. If my Hitmonchan rushes in with a mach punch-" The Pokemon did so. "My Infernape can strike back, or, he can give you all a show and catch your eye!" The Infernape leapt over the Hitmonchan with it's acrobatics, and fired a stream of fire down upon it's head. "Now, let's hope out contestant's give us a show! We have so many of them organized between today and tomorrow, so let's hear our matchups!"
