Tyler Vincent Jaegar
Ty | 23 | Male Demisexual |
Caravella City | Trainer | Thief/ Hired "Muscle" |
Appearance
Ty stands about six feet tall, and fairly athletic in build. He's not ripped, or anything, but he's in fairly good shape and has a rather defined build. He has red hair that usually hugs his jaw, and he has three scars resembling claw marks over his left eye. His skin is fairly tanned, and he keeps a small bit of stubble.
His usually style is generally a black coat over a solid colored button-up shirt(usually black or white), with black pants and shoes. As it stands, he doesn't really wear(or own) much else.
He generally wears an air of confidence about him, and walks with both a swagger in his step and a fire of determination in his eyes. On occasion, a grin will flash across his face that indicates when he has an idea that may be crazy or mischievous, but that is a lot rarer than it used to be. Though these days, he doesn't smile a lot in general.

Personality
- Quiet: Ty is a man of few words; he said what needs to be said. Nothing more, nothing less. He tends to sway towards the 'strong silent' stereotype.
- Cynical: Ty has grown to see the negative side of humanity, and he believes that everyone is, at their core, out for their own selfish motives. As such, he's learned to keep people at arm's reach, and only as long as it's beneficial, because he believes people will turn on anyone as soon as it suits them.
- Patient: Over time, the young thief has learned to play the long game, and as such, he has acquired an immense patience. He doesn't tend to let little things get to him anymore, and he can stick to a plan for as long as he needs to.
- Cold: Certain events in his life have led Ty to close himself from people, letting himself retreat into a more solitary state. He doesn't let many people close, and even then, he only lets them so far.
- Witty: If one hangs around him long enough, or says something stupid enough, Ty will end up revealing his sharp wit. He is very quick with a retort when need be, and it shows that his childlike sense of humor is still in there somewhere, though he doesn't tend to show it much. However, it is nice to have a good laugh every now and then.
- Unrepentant: Where Ty used to have qualms about what he did to survive, or for his lifestyle choices, he now merely realizes that sometimes you just have to do what you have to do, and you shouldn't have to apologize for doing something to someone that would likely do the same in your situation.
- Protective: A protective streak still runs up Ty's spine, mostly when Pokemon is threatened, but he doesn't like seeing the weak preyed on either. While there isn't much he wouldn't do for money, bullying is an exception, which hearkens back to his younger days.
- Unreliable: Trust is not something that Ty has in ready supply, nor does he warrant any. As soon as the benefits of having someone around run out, he's apt to leave. The bottom line is, Ty follows the money.
History
Ty was born in Era, to a thief and free spirit, and was the result of what happens when two passionate young people with hormones get alone without supervision. When his mother died in childbirth, Ty's dad, Kel, took care of him as best he could while juggling his job.
He taught Ty the ways of stealing from travelers, and of Pokemon training. When he was thirteen, Ty woke up to find his Dad gone, and a Pokeball containing a young Growlithe was in his hand. He felt hurt, rejected, betrayed, even. From that day forward, Ty knew he was on his own, aside from Blazer. They went everywhere, using the only skill-set they knew.
They faced hardships, many a night sleeping on the cold ground outside and nearly freezing to death. Occasionally, he runs into a good haul, but that ends up being blown on frivolous things like a fancy place to sleep, more food, or just a day of free-spending, because as a thief, he was never really taught to save money.
However, deep down, he always sort of felt bad for his marks, even though he did the only thing he knew to survive. That...and every time he saw his reflection, he saw his father. So, he dyed his hair blonde, to at least hide some of the resemblance. But he was still a thief....a troubled thief, but a thief.
And then he went to a festival one day when he was twenty, and he met Nami. And...she turned his whole world upside down. He learned he didn't have to steal, and that maybe some people were worth changing for. So, he decided to renounce his thieving ways and become an honest person. He and Nami dated for quite some time, and they were happy together, but then the war broke out, and Nami was set on leaving the region. Ty, however, was more focused on trying to help. He didn't take sides, because his focus was more on the innocent people that were affected.
This difference in opinion led to Nami not only leaving Era, but him as well, and it was here that the darkness of his past started to seep back in. However, he still did his best, using his team of mostly fire types to help civilians that were in trouble, or even to protect them from harm. It was during a confrontation between a thug and a small child that Ty got the scratch across his face. Things continued to get bleaker, and he thought maybe Nami had been right, but he still tried his best.
Until he got word that his father had been caught after all these years and executed. Though he hated the man, this still hurt. Now without the chance to reconcile, and seeing that his home region was now in shambles, Ty decided it was time to leave. He'd stopped dying his hair, realizing that...maybe with all of his selfish, uncaring ways...maybe his father was right.
He traveled to other various regions for a little while, taking only a few select Pokemon with him, until finally, he boarded a ship bound for Veria. It was here that he planned to start a new life; the life he should have lived a long time ago.

Skills (3/11)
Dexterity(Major): A Dexterity Major has very fine motor skills and can manipulate things quickly. Weapon fighters would be able to hit with point precision and accuracy often hitting the weak points in their foes. Other uses of the major would be delicate surgical work, extremely detailed artistic designs, and craftsmanship (tool making to specialized cooking) in other areas.
As a thief, Ty has learned to pick pockets and lift objects with relative ease, thanks to his light fingers.
Endurance(Minor): An Endurance Minor can take some decent damage (deep cuts, minor breaks or fractures, or even some weaker Pokémon attacks) and force themselves to keep going forward. This can apply to ignoring pain during a battle or dealing with it after the end of the conflict. They may be able to push themselves for a mile on a broken leg or stay up for two days if they don’t feel particularly safe to sleep.
Ty's developed a high tolerance to pain, and an ability to push through things that the average person couldn't. Such is what comes with the life that he chose.
