A sudden shower of berries rained down upon Emi, with several berries falling into her bag in the process. Emi's first thought was that there must have been a strong gust of wind, though she didn't feel it--but then she remembered that she was inside, in a greenhouse, where such gusts of wind were highly unlikely to occur.

Then she saw her Kirlia, Eclipse, vigorously shaking a berry tree.

Emi couldn't help but giggle as she saw her Kirlia clutch the tree with both hands and shake it as hard as she could. Emi wasn't sure what exactly Eclipse was aiming for, whether the berry shower had been intended or just a happy accident, but it brought a smile to her face all the same.

Eclipse shook the tree again, and another shower of berries fell. While Emi had to admit that this was an easy way to get a few berries in her bag (and a handful had indeed lodged inside it this time as well), she wasn't sure that it was really a good idea overall.

"Eclipse?"

The Kirlia stepped back from the tree and looked at Emi with an expression that was somewhere in between nervous and guilty. "Kir?"

Emi considered her words carefully before responding. "Just be careful when you do that, alright? We're guests here, and we don't want to risk hurting one of the trees, do we? Besides, there might be other Pokemon in the tree that would rather it be... not shaken. And now there are leaves and berries everywhere." It was true--the floor of the Berry Grove, at least in the section near Emi and surrounding the shaken tree, was covered in a coating of berries and leaves, many of the berries squished and the leaves torn.

"...Lia."

"You're not in trouble, though, Eclipse. I know you didn't mean anything by it. Now c'mon, let's see how many of these berries we can pick up!"

Eclipse's expression brightened up with those last few words, bringing a smile to the Pokemon's face. "Kir-kir!"

As Emi bent down to pick up a berry, she got the feeling that she was being watched.

At first, she couldn't place the source of the feeling... but then she turned around to find her Gastly Sprite staring at her, holding two berries carefully within her mouth.

"Are those for me?" Emi asked.

Sprite nodded energetically before spitting out the berries in Emi's general direction. "Gaaast!"

Emi bent down and picked up the berries her Gastly had dropped, smiling as she did so. "Thank you so much!"

After putting the berries in her bag, Emi reached out to pet her Gastly, but hesitated, unsure how to do so. Would Sprite appreciate being petted in her solid middle, or would that be rude, to reach through her gaseous exterior? Was-

Sprite, for her part, settled the question by zooming towards Emi's extended hand until it was positioned exactly where the Gastly desired.

Emi giggled a little as she petted her Gastly. There were enough berries around that the Gastly's retrieval wasn't really necessary, but still, the thought was much appreciated.
