It was just like the last time—Kouji had gotten swamped with a lot of orders, all last-minute; but this time most of them were headed to only one person, with a new Gym Leader putting in an order for a Cryogonal for them.

Knowing that Josh had the strange little snowflake as well as most of the other ‘mons in the request, he then punched in a bunch of coordinates on the Transporter before quickly writing down the details and went to the stock room to pick up the listed number of items he’d be needing for the requests he had to get out.

Once he’d gotten back, a grand total of six containment units were waiting for him. Scooping them all up in one fell swoop, he then made his way outside, finding his lone Oshawott slumbering near the beach. After poking it awake, to which he quickly fed it some treats, he then sent out the borrowed Tepig and then patted them both on the head, before leaving one of the weird-looking, giant ‘shrooms between them. “Be nice, okay?!” he said as he left the two alone.

The second pair he’d had to relocate near one of the trees, since this was Damian’s Gliscor he’d borrowed—and once he’d sent out Scorpius and left a second one of the weird-looking ‘shrooms between them, along with a Floral Honey (it was the last one, too. He had to buy more of them when he got the time).

Over at a secluded clearing, he then let loose a Cranidos, along with a… “Huh, he’s been busy, eh?” he muttered to himself, seeing the evolved form of Salandit emerge. Here he left the second Fancy ‘shroom between the two before heading off to a deserted corner of the ranch and sending out Josh’s Cryogonal.

Here he left another pot of Floral Honey, along with the last Incense he had, and crossed his fingers to hope for the best.

Kouji really did have a thing for eleventh-hour breeding requests, and this week was no different. He was a bit surprised to see that there were several affiliation requests waiting for him. And hey, who was he to refuse these requests? Grinning as he quickly took down note of who wanted in on the fun, he then snatched another small Post-it note and scribbled down who wanted in on which breeding requests, and hoped for the best.

Knowing that these would take up a lot of items, he then made his way to the stock room (and took a quick mental inventory, knowing he’d have to stock up on items sooner or later once he was done) and took out three pots of Floral Honey, along with a Breeding Cookie and one of those big, rubbery, yellow ‘shrooms. Once done, he then made his way back to the Transporter and punched in a few codes, not having to wait long as two borrowed containment units arrived.

He then made his way out, searching high and low for his Bergmite until he found it. Once he did, he then sent out its partner, one of Josh’s borrowed ‘mons, and watched as a Shieldon came into existence. “Okay you two. Don’t ram into each other,” he said, quickly feeding his Bergmite the cookie—to which he heard some kind of snickering in the back of his mind as he did so—before leaving the ‘shroom in front of the two and beating a hasty exit.

It didn’t take too long for him to send out a familiar, shiny Ponyta and leave it with the first pot of Floral Honey; along with searching for his own shy little Cherubi, who was hiding somewhere in the field of Berries. This he left a second pot of Floral Honey to keep it busy with, and he then located a sheltered cove, where he sent out the lent Absol—and left a third pot of Floral Honey beside it.

Now, to hope for the best.

It didn’t take too long before Kouji heard the yowling and howling noises—what the hell was going on?

Groaning, as he’d already pretzeled himself into a comfortable position on the couch, he then untangled himself from his spot and lumbered down the stairs, making sure to stop by the stock room and grabbing one particular paper bag that held a certain kind of… stimulant within it.

“I swear, this is nasty,” he grumbled, rolling his eyes to high heaven as he then slipped his feet into the work boots he’d always leave by the door before heading outside. Surprisingly, the Bergmite pair had gone off without a hitch—although one of his bosses would have to wait quite a while until their ‘mon request was ready. However, it was the three with the Floral Honey that had absolutely flopped, for lack of a better word.

He then made his way as quickly as he could across the locations, dropping off a rubbery, smaller yellow ‘shroom at each location, and this time crossing his fingers, hoping for the best.
