Emily grinned proudly as the Poké Ball stopped shaking, picking it up with a grin, tossing it up and catching it at the side-swing. She wasn’t too sure what she was gonna do with these, she admitted, staring at the Poké Ball with a curious look, but she didn’t really pay much mind to it; she’ll figure it out. She held up the Poké Ball, grinning as her Pokémon each cheered for her, opening her eyes again to wave at her pink-haired friend.

“Pika Pika!”

Emily gasped and moved, suddenly jumping to the side just in time for several star-shaped projectiles to hit just behind where her feet were. She ran to the side a little, just enough to put herself a comfortable distance away from the attack, and whirled around. She was wide-eyed, wondering what had attacked her, but she made it a point to give her Pokémon a thank you thumbs up before yet another of the floating, spinning Rock-type Pokémon came up to them. It stopped, staring at her - at least she thought it did, it was hard to tell since they didn’t really have faces - and although Pikachu ran up to her, glaring at the wild Pokémon with sparks flying off of his cheeks, but the trainer held her hand up, keeping her eyes on the wild Pokémon.

“Hold up, Pikachu,” she said, still grinning, “I think it just wants to fight! Grimer, ya wanna fight some more?” She looked back at her Pokémon as it shuffled to the forefront. She nodded as her green Grimer glared at the wild Pokémon, which made the first move, sending a flurry of starry projectiles again. Emily grit her teeth, recognizing the Swift. “Brutal Swing on the attack!”

Once again, Grimer threw her arm out, pushing her body mass into it and extending it farther than it would normally go, swinging it around in a massive arc, smashing each and every star-shaped projectile into dust, even while the wild Pokémon ducked under the arm. “Gunk Shot, quick!” Suddenly, Grimer pulled her arm back towards herself, covering her mouth before heaving up a heavy, greenish and very chunky sludge, arcing through the air and slamming into the floating Pokémon. It shook itself off, though, turning sideways and spinning violently, rushing towards Grimer. Emily was quick to yell, ordering, “Minimize, quick!” Her Pokémon let out a cry of confirmation, splitting her body mass into two, moving both ways away from the Pokémon, making it fly between her. “Alright! Use Brutal Swing again!”

Grimer reformed, pulling her trash bag-colored body back together before throwing her mass into her arm again, swinging in a wide arc, slamming her hand right on the side of the Pokémon, hitting it hard enough to fling it to the side. “Awesome, now Shadow Sneak, quick!” Letting out a happy yell, Grimer complied, her shadow shooting out from her with incredible speed, shooting straight towards the Rock-type even while it was still recovering from the hit, the shadows reaching from the ground to physically strike the Pokémon.

“Yeah!” Emily cried, throwing a fist in the air. The attack striking wasn’t the only thing she was celebrating; that Shadow Sneak cracked that rocky shell, which meant…! She grinned when the Pokémon burst free from shell, letting out a loud and echoing cry, Riolu and Pikachu flinching when bits of rock flew past them. Emily was surprised at what was inside, though; the first one was red, the second one was blue, but this one was black, with little bits of color! Was this shiny, maybe? Or was it just another color of their’s?

She couldn’t stay on those thoughts: the Pokémon attacked again, sending a swarm of Swift at her Pokémon again. “Take it, and Gunk Shot again!” Swift was one of those moves that couldn’t be dodged, but she was alright with that. Grimer took the attack, each star hitting her, getting knocked back slightly, but she powered through it, shifting back into position before hurling up a dark green, chunky liquid again, arcing through the air to strike the wild Pokémon again. “One more hit oughta do it! Brutal Swing!”

Grimer yelled out again, and threw out her arm again, swinging her speedy arm to hit the Minior once again. The Pokémon flew to the side, hitting a wall and hitting the ground. Emily jumped, cheering for her Pokémon, running over and giving it a high-five. “Way to go, Grimer!” She grinned, wiping off the little bit of gunk her hand took on on her shirt, pulling out a Poké Ball and tossing it at the downed Pokémon.

She looked at Michi over her shoulder when she spoke up, blinking softly. “Huh? Yeah, sure…” She was disappointed, honestly; she was having a blast, literally. But then again, exploding things were kind of less cool than usual.
