Fixing her jacket as she felt an oddly chilly breeze in the mines, Sam kept herself nice and warm as she delved deeper, sending out her Fletchinder to perch upon her lower back and wrap it's wings around her to help keep her warm. Almost sensing the need for warmth, the universe decided to send more fire her way as a burst of flame shot out from  a side tunnel, Sam's reactions sharp as she dipped to the side, somewhat alarmed by the random attack, Fletchinder taking to the air and ready to fight as a houndour and Liepard crept out from the darkness.

"Oh a dog and a Cat working together? Aren't you two lovely?~"

Sending out her much smaller Aron to help with the fight, Sam pointed for it to take on the Liepard while Fletchinder took on the houndour. The two pokemon dove at their targets, the Fletchinder tanking a flamethrower to get in a strong wing attack, while the Aron had a more difficult task wich, in a way, was an odd advantage. It took a harsh assurance attack from the Liepard, only to retaliate with a nicely charged metal burst, striking it deeper back into the caverns, the Aron chirping happily in response to it's counter attack being so effective.

"Alright guys one more assault lets go!"

This time the Aron protected against the following assurance attack and fired back with a Double-edge to push the Liepard back this time. Fletchinder had to swiftly dodge and weave around the piercing fire fang attacks from the Houndour, before striking it back and away with another wing attack, two red flashes as Sam tried to catch the opposing pokemon.

Sam felt the weight of the filled pokeballs in her hands, glad to find a liepard so Purp didn't feel too pressured to evolve like Skips had for the contest. Speaking of which, she'd have to find a new meowth sometime...she wondered briefly if Skips would feel like they were being replaced in the process, but she could only hope they understood that wasn't the case. Either way they had more to get on with if they wanted to find anything valuable and moved deeper into the caves. It wasn't long before some more nuisances reared their heads, a tiny trubbish and a Mimikyu. If Sam had to guess, they were from the slums of the underground, likely hiding out here from any larger pokemon that didn't think they belonged in their territory. All the same, they seemed pretty feisty as they came into Sam's path.

"Aron, Trubbish, Fletchinder, Mimikyu."

The pokemon took their commands and rushed in, the Aron charging with a double edge as Sam got some spare pokeballs ready. The tiny Aron had managed to throw the poison pokemon off balance, and its attempts to retaliate with a toxic attack of any kind were all inneffective. Eventually it could only strike back with take down, but even that was barely effective and seemed to do more to the trubbish than the Aron, who struck back with a metal burst and almost a smirk under it's iron mask.

Fletchinder had a more...interesting time with it's opponent. An initial wing attack struck hard and true, but all the pokemon did in response was...snap its neck!? What!? Fletchinder would soon realize the head was a decoy but that was a real fright for a second there. A retalitory slash struck the fletchinder while ti was caught off guard, but the aerial pokemon was still the faster of the two, blowing out a strong heatwave to push the Mimikyu back, before striking it with another wing attack for Sam to attempt a capture.

Two fighting types!? Aron was shaking and regretful of the urge he'd had to run ahead,thankfully before the two dark fighters could reach him Fletchinder rushed in to save his ass, but that didn't stop him from quaking in his boots like he had. The two fighters backed off as the flying type showed up, but sharing a smirk they were quick to use numbers to their advantage, each one leaping up to take on the bird at the same time. The fletchinder may have had type advantages, but that didn't mean it could outrank them all the way. A few wing attacks here or there as it dipped and dove through the two attackers, but eventually it was forced to land harshly on it's front, whining weakly as it glared at the two fighters. Sam could hear the small cry and was trying to find where the two ran off to, but for now, the two fighters locked onto the tiny Aron.

Bulking its defenses harshlyu, the tiny pikemon lowered it's head and tried to push through the pain of both opposing pokemon's attacks, whining as the pain built and built, but the fletchinder had done a good job in weakening the two of them. He took in the harsh punishment, and knowing he only needed to send back so much, he fired out a blast of metal shards from his burst attack, hissing at the other pokemon and glaring at each of them as he rushed to the fletchinder now that he was provided space, lingering beside it protectively till Sam caught up.
