Almost right as they landed, something caught Lucien’s eye: the sparkle of a particular crystal whose structure he knew very well by now. Hopping of his Tropius’s back (much to the latter’s bewilderment at how fast his trainer happened to be moving), Lucien quickly closed the distance between himself and the sparkling crystal. A hand reached forward, fishing it up off the ground.

Gold eyes reflected a yellow crystal, and a smile pulled at the corners of Lucien’s mouth. Oh yeah? Oh, hell yeah! He didn’t have this one yet! What a find! “Look et dis!” he grinned turning back to his Tropius. The earthen creature leaned in and squinted, not entirely too well versed in what he was seeing. Lucien chuckled and pocketed it for now. “Ah’ll hafta show ya how et works sometime,” he grinned giving a small two finger salute before looking around. Hmmm this particular island had a complex of buildings. He…. Wondered if they were stable enough to get through. Well, he was feeling adventurous so why not?

Starting up the way to the entrance of the building, Lucien’s Aura Sight would catch something at the last minute. Wait what was that? Looking in the direction he’d seen/felt it, he slowly started to back track through some lush area that set on top of the island. Bending down into the grass, he pushed some of it aside and pulled here and there before— Really? Two in a row? He’d never seen this particular Z-crystal before, though. It almost seemed to have a handle on it? Twisting it around in his hand, he wondered vaguely if it was something Different than a Z crystal, but …. No? It had the aura of one? Lucien chewed the inside of his mouth. He may have to look it up for himself later. Pocketing it for now, he righted himself again and started back towards the building. Gently pushing the wood that barred the entrance, he found himself inside…. Creepy.

Easing slowly through the building, Lucien allowed his gaze to flicker through the first room. Once his eyes had adjusted, it wasn’t so bad. However, it was… incredibly creepy that there was …. No aura here? Not quite as vacant as the wasteland, but everything in it seemed roughly dead? If a Ghost decided to jump out right about now, he was leaving this place, but slowly and surely he came further in and didn’t find anything.

The second room was … much more cluttered— with a mishmash of large and small items? A bookshelf was on its side with numerous books still pushed in it. A table had been turned over with what appeared to be broken china still left there. Drapes had been pulled up and around by a long pole that was now suspended by them. Much more random stuff was tossed here and there and strung all about. All of it, however, had a fine layer of dust left on it from however many years of neglect.

Fleshy lips pressed together uncomfortably before relaxing again. Yellow eyes flickered around. As he caught sight of a particular stone, however, Lucien paused in his search of the place. That was… huh… someone could actually use that, right? Picking it up and pocketing it for now, he went onwards.
