Eventually, Jemma would come across a Pokemon. It was a Musharna, which she was quite surprised to see. She had her own Munna, but had yet to get the correct stone to evolve her. Seeing the Pokemon in the wild made her wonder if it had been abandoned or was just a lucky 'mon that found his necessary stone by chance. Regardless, she was going to walk past when the psychic-type moved. He moved to hover closer to her and called at her. With a smile, the blonde nodded her head in greeting and was about to continue on when he called at her again.

Not really certain why the Pokemon would need her attention,
she shifted and turned to look at the Pokemon. One of the forelegs shifted and pointed toward where she kept her Pokemon and she frowned. "You... want to battle my Pokemon? Did it really? She didn't consider being hurt very fun and was surprised by the concept a Pokemon might. Even so, the Musharna nodded its head and waited patiently. Well... all right, she supposed.

"Go ahead, Nori!" The Mareep popped out and bleated, gazing at the Musharna interestedly. "Use Charge," came the instruction and the little sheep started to gather energy, letting electricity gather and start to crackle in her fur. "Good. Now Discharge." Again,
the electric-type followed instructions and the air was filled with crackling arcs of energy. The psychic-type was shocked but shook it off without much difficulty. "Signal Beam!"

The gem on the tip of Nori's tail glowed greenish before firing a beam at the opposing Pokemon. Sure, he looked a little injured, but he didn't seem concerned. He called out,
causing the ground beneath their feet to glow purple and then create a dome around them. Immediately, this was followed by a beam erupting from the hole from which the Musharna's dream smoke normally came from. It smacked Nori easily, causing the little Pokemon to do a few flips before coming to a stop.

Jemma gasped and waited a moment as her Pokemon moved to get up.
She bleated her disapproval over this and Charged herself up without waiting for instruction. "O-okay, Nori!
Discharge again, then." The air filled with electricity again, but it seemed this time the psychic-type, while badly injured from the three attacks, was not too badly hurt by this attack alone. "Finish this with Power Gem." A red beam connected with the Musharna and it fainted, leaving Jemma a little... make that a lot relieved.

"You did great, Nori," she praised and went over to pet the sheep gently before the electric type would bleat and run over to a bush, pulling out a little orb which caused the woman to tilt her head before taking it from the Pokemon and pocketing it. "Look at my little treasure-hunter," she remarked with a giggle and stood back upright to begin walking into the forest some more and letting Nori follow along.

They didn't get far at all, though, before Nori began to glow. The white began to morph as the Mareep evolved. Once the white dispersed, she shook herself off and looked down at her new bipedal form and then bleated her delight at Jemma. "Oh wow! That Musharna must have had an idea that one of you was close to evolving," she observed with a smile and leaned down to give the Flaaffy a scritch on the chin. "Let's keep going." The two continued on their way into the forest, nothing exciting happening for a good ten to fifteen minutes. Then all of a sudden there was a commotion.

First the sound of scuttling feet, then the sound of a crash.
Jemma's brows furrowed slightly at this and then she started to hear squabbling. She and Nori went to investigate and found a chastised-looking Delibird with an angry-looking Venonat. In fact, the bug tried to attack the poor delivery Pokemon, which prompted Jemma and her Pokemon to intervene. Interrupting the purple Pokemon's attack came a blast of reddish energy. It hurt... a lot. The woman watched as the Venonat got back to its feet and used Disable, eyes glinting to render another Power Gem useless. Then he launched forward, biting into Nori to take her energy. The Flaaffy was prepared, however, and took less damage by not letting her get a good grip. Still, it was enough to make the electric-type quite weak.

"Uuse Charge!" As the sheep started to fill her wool with static, her trainer moved over to shield the Delibird. "Now Discharge!" Just as every time before, the air filled with electricity and the Venonat got hit, causing him to faint and Jemma to let out a soft sigh of relief."You did great, Nori. Now it's time to rest," the blonde instructed, getting a bleat in return as the Pokemon went back into her Pokeball. There was a pause for the woman to think before she pulled out a Pokeball and tossed it at the Venonat. As she waited for that, she turned her attention to the Delibird. "You look all right. Didn't get hurt at all. Good."

Her smile caused the delivery 'mon to swoon. A soft giggle came from Jemma, which snapped the bird out of its apparent fantasy at least a little. Then she produced two things from her tail: a strange-looking crystal that energy kept jumping from and a regular old Moon Stone. "Wow! I was just thinking about how one of my Pokemon needed this! You're very good at your job, aren't you?" The Delibird ruffled her own feathers in pride and then jumped a little. She needed to get back to work! Waving her wing at the delightful human, she turned and headed off. Jemma grinned a little and pocketed her present gratefully.

Click! Picking up the capture ball with the Venonat now safely inside, the blonde woman started off again. She didn't make it far at all before she noticed a bush with bright blue berries all over it. Walking over, she started to examine them. Strange how it seemed to have several berries all connected to each other. She wondered what it was called. What it did, even? Wait... wasn't there... a professor of berries in this region? Yeah! She remembered the news a few months ago saying he made a fantastic discovery.

"That's right... I was going to go see him. Something about a gender swap cookie for humans." Furrowing her brows, she wondered why she was talking aloud to herself and then just sighed. She still hadn't talked to her sister about her gender... Maybe this would really force her to confront her sibling. A glint on the ground pulled her from her thoughts and she dug out the blue shard from the dirt with a smile. "Good luck so far today," she murmured to herself.

Quite suddenly, her head jerked up. She'd heard a screech of sorts. What... was it? She stood up, gathered a couple berries to gingerly take with her, and went to find out what the commotion was. What she found was a pair of Pokemon fighting. A Pikipek and... a... Komala? It was all black with red, though... and as she flailed at the bird, Jemma shuffled through her Pokeballs to find a Pokemon to break them up. Before she could get a Pokemon out, the Pikipek had retaliated. Eventually, she managed to release a relatively new Pokemon: Ferdinand.

"Ah... U-use Hyper Voice!" Down went the Pikipek and the Komala shifted toward the new noisemaker. Oh shit... "Uproar!" All of a sudden, the entire forest was filled with screeching, flailing, and... well, a very big temper tantrum. The Komala thought about retaliating,
but... getting closer to that noise? Hell no... The reverberations and overwhelming annoyance ended up causing him to napfaint. Jemma, a little embarrassed, tossed two Pokeballs to capture the fallen Pokemon and would then return her Whismur. Such a crazy Pokemon...

It was about time to head back home, Jemma figured. With berries in hand, she had started her way back toward civilization, only to hear a sudden screech. Then she tripped, face-planting into the dirt as the vines that tripped her were recoiled. The Tangela emerged from the bushes and a Chatot came down to perch upon the other Pokemon. Today was not going particularly well for this woman when it came to Pokemon, it seemed. As she moved to kneel and look over at the Pokemon, the Chatot yelled, "Berry! Rowap! Ours!"

Surprised, Jemma looked down at the berries in hand. "O-oh! May... I take just one, then? I really--"

"No!" Taken aback, the woman just blinked and furrowed her brows. Looking at the berries, she set them down. Jemma considered what to do for a moment. She didn't like the idea of attacking the poor Pokemon. They were just defending their land, but... this was also really important to the blonde! She wanted to bring something to that professor, sure, but she also wanted to learn as well. Just one berry would have sufficed, but they weren't letting even one go...

Retrieving a Pokeball from her waist, she threw it to release her Drowzee, Michel. The wild Pokemon saw where this was going and jumped into action. The Chatot began screeching and beating his wings as hard as he could, creating mini booms. The Tangela responded in kind, concentrating his energy and then launching some of his vines forward. This knocked Michel back and the grass-type took this opportunity to dig in some roots so he would heal consistently.

To say that Jemma was shocked by the teamwork these two possessed would be an understatement. "Michel, use Ice Punch on the Chatot!" As she said this, she'd produce another Pokeball and release Ami, tossing the ball and simultaneously calling, "Frost Breath the Tangela!" The end result was what was hoped for: the Chatot got frozen and the Tangela fainted. With a sigh of relief, Jemma looked at the frozen Chatot and then to Michel. "Fire Punch him twice. Let's catch him," she instructed and the Drowzee nodded.

The first punch connected and thawed the ice, allowing the bird to move, but another followed which burned him. Not allowing a retaliation, Jemma tossed two Pokeballs, one to capture each of the Pokemon. It was only fair, really, for her to allow them to come with her. She'd make sure they had more of these berries... "Good job, both of you. You can return to your balls now." Returning both the Drowzee and Sealeo, she took a deep breath and waited a bit.
