As if on cue, Psyche scampered up to Skye and sat in one of his hands so that the one was occupied while the other hand was petting her. He nodded, she wasn't wrong Espurrs and Meowstics were very adorable and not something anyone would expect coming from him since, well he looked rather frightening to some people. "Yeah they are, but Meowstic was already evolved when I got her. She's...a hand me down from my mom. Psyche here is a retired coordinating pokemon." The pokemon chriped as a matter of fact, she looked very proud when it was obvious that she was being praised. "Psyche has won a lot of ribbons, and after she retired she followed me so I wouldn't be alone on my trip." That's not exactly how it went but basically it was how it went. The Meowstic nuzzled her owners free hand and began to purr. "Sure I have other pokemon and they're all very interesting but none of them are like her. Not as stubborn either." He snorted at the pokemon looked up and made a face at him. But it was true, she was the only one that refused to go inside her pokeball. Instead of arguing he decided it was easier to just have her hanging around him. "Ah so...what is it that you do Kris? Are you a trainer or something?" Kristina Vasiliev

Ohh, a parent's Pokemon. Kris nodded a little at that. Both of her own parents were known for giving Pokemon as gifts from time to time. That was… how she got most of her Pokemon, actually, eheh. A content Pokemon though… She's won a lot of ribbons. Lips pressed together, but Kris remained smiling for the most part. I haven't even gotten one ribbon… clawed at her stomach, twisting and turning it over. Even after so many contents.. Kris's face wouldn't show a thing, but the Espurr in her arms shifted some to lay differently. Tight tummies weren't as comfortable.
As the question as turned back on Kris, she paused a moment. "I'm… kinda a coordinator," she answered. "I've been in several contents... and several TV shows and movies when I was younger." Not to mention the one she was technically working on that had recently gone into hiatus for whatever reason, sigh. "Kristina Vasiliev is my full name, if you've heard of me." She giggled once vaguely doubting it. Sure she had done some child acting roles, but those had been years ago, and she had specifically left the limelight for many years in order to get a chance to grow up in privacy. Now, though, it was practically demanded of her. A thought occurred to her right after. "Are you trying to be a coordinator too?" she asked.

Kristina Vasiliev...the young man dipped into his memory to see if he recalled anything. However any memory he had before he had to wear the mask was fragmented. He could recall things like friends and family but not events or what he looked like before the mask. After a moment he shook his head, as much as he would like to dig around old memories it was giving him a headache. Psyche could sense the discomfort and licked Skye’s hand. The sudden contact rousing his attention to her, he patted her head and looked back to the girl. "Sorry, doesn't ring a bell but then again I donn't really watch movies."
It was kind of a happy coincidence that Kris turned out to be a coordinator. Skye rememebered a lot of the elaborate costuming it took to match the pokemon and the repertoire of moves that needed to be in sync with one another. Coordinating wasn't as easy as one would think. As far as he knew, it wasn't really something you could do on the side if you were planning on earning ribbons. Kris did mention being an actress, which would require a lot of time too. He didn't want to openly admit it but he was a little envious of Kris. At least she knew what she wanted to do with her life. Skye’s life consisted of major inconviences that would snowball so out of control that everything would be metaphorically on fire and it's fine. Everything is fine despite the unfortunate circumstances that came with existing. He always dreamed of maybe being a trainer, a traveller, or an artist like his father had been. It was too bad that he didnt get to figure those things out and instead resort to living like some kind of wandering hermit. Despite not knowing what he wanted in life, he knew that he couldn't be half the coordinator Kris was and not even a fraction of what his mother was. "No way, I'm not cut out for that kind of thing. It's a nice thought though, I can't do Psyche any justice but if I could I might consider it. What about you though? You said you were kinda in it, are you focusing on your acting career more? Doing both of those things sounds very impressive but it seems like you you're not really into the idea of both?"Kristina Vasiliev

Kris shrugged a little weakly. It had been worth a shot but wasn't too surprising either way. She had met quite a few who had actually recognized her, and she had quite a few contest watchers who recognized her name now but.... Even then she was hardly as popular as some big names out there.
Her stomach flip-flopped, however, as Kris caught a brief thought. I really don't know if this is what I want to do… She wouldn't, couldn't, say that out loud, but in the safety of her own mind, she knew it well enough. It was what her mother wanted of her, though, and that might as well have sealed the deal in of itself.
The vocalization of Skye's words had her lips pressing together. She… understood that too. Sometimes it felt like she was just letting her Pokemon down more than anything else. Her lips quirked a little briefly as the question was turned around to her again, and a hand shifted to feel through the Espurr's soft fur again. "Kinda, yeah, I have a couple productions I'm doing work for right now, but a lot of the time I've- been focusing on training my Pokemon." That was only partly a lie. Most of her time was spent online in forums and spamming her bestie with IMs, but she couldn't really consider that a productive use of her time. Her mother certainly didn't see it as such.
Her gaze flickered to the Meowstic again, however. "Do you battle at all?" Trainers certainly did, as it was their primary function, but she knew just as many people who kept Pokemon as pets and friends more than battlers.

Skye merely nodded, he wasn't a mind reader so the girl's disgressions were not apparent to her. However he did people watch, more than he cared to admit but he could pick up on subtle hints here and there. He wasn't sure what it was but sometimes it looked like she swallowed a fly. He wasn't sure if it was because of the things he said, but those nuanced faces she made made it seem like he might've said something that could've offended her but didn't have the heart to say anything to him. He hoped that wasn't the case, he kind of actually liked talking to Kristina. She doesn't look down on him or treat him like some of plague. That was nice, he wondered if there was more nice people like her? It would be a welcoming change of pace from what he was used to. "That's cool, I'll keep an eye out for them so I can see you on tv."The question Kris was asking was kind of a grey area for him, he did technically battle otherwise how else would he have the pokemon he had? But he didn't battle other trainers and he most certainly had no plans to challenge whatever version of gyms they had here in this region. He wasn't so sure if he could make a whole career our of just battling and collecting chunks of metal to prove that he's the best. He felt more comfortable travelling around and bonding with the few pokemon he'd catch. "Kind of? I don't really do the whole trainer thing if that's what you're asking. I just..."He really didn't want to think or talk about it. "I'm just a free roamer, a no mad, a traveller so to speak."Kristina Vasiliev

A smallish smile quirked on Kris's features as Skye assured her that he'd keep an eye out see her on the TV. That was a lot more encouraging than what she knew what to do with, truthfully, but … but yeah, hehehe. As Skye described his 'occupation', however, Kris's eyes grow briefly. "You can do that?" dumped out of her mouth before she had a chance to stop herself. Almost immediately after the fact, she bit her lower lip.
Yellow eyes evaded, and she found one of her Espurr to stare at instead. "I mean … just traveling around without a specific aim seems… kind of interesting… is all" In ways that she wasn't actually sure were interesting in the long run but… "I don't think I could actually do it with all the obligations I have." Her hold on the Espurr shifted some, and the lattered mewled in response. Kris eased up again a bit apologetically.

Skye raised a brow, not that Kris could see but he was quite confused by her wording. She made it sound like just leaving and just travelling around wasn't an option. Perhaps it wasn't, he doesn't know anything about her to make that kind of judgement. After all, he didn't get a lot of opportunities eithers but he also didn't let people push him into a corner and do what they said. His aunt did always say that he had his father's stubborness and rebel streak in that sense. He stared at her for a moment, trying distract herself. It was obvious she didn't meant to say what she said aloud. "Yeah, " granted he didn't have a choice in the matter but... "You don't have to do anything anyone tells you to Kris, you're your own person. And you're not obliged to give anyone your time for any reason at all."He began to wonder, was she acting because someone wanted her to do that? She didn't sound too thrilled talking about it. In fact, nothing she said that she was doing didn't spark a light in her eyes like they were now. The idea of just aimmlessly wandering, no, to be free he thinks. That's what she wants right? "You know, there's nothing more I despise then people who try to control you,"He started thinking back to his own family. The ones who want to use him for that money that belongs to him. He wondered what would happen to him if they had their way? Would he just be their little trapped prisoner? Or would be be some of amalgamation of their morals and ideas, a puppet for them to push their agendas on Kalos. "sometimes people will want to live vicariously through you. To reexperience missed opportunities as if you're some kind of do over button. It's too late for those people though, you can't undo time and you can't live someone's life for them. You should do something that makes you happy, something that gets you excited. Who cares what other people will think? They're not you."

Kris's eyes grew. Teeth met lower lip. Color warmed otherwise pale features. Had this come from Kiran, or Sam, or anyone else she may have considered a close friend, it most certainly would have been more well received. She would have taken such words to heart, considered her options, and maybe said she'd think on it or something.
Instead, sharp, defiant feelings rose up in her veins. "You don't know me," Kris snapped out hard and fast. Her Espurr who had been in various states of distraction through this conversation all jolted to look in Kris's direction. Daisy who was in her arms looked up worriedly. Kris, however, had her eyes fixed on Skye. "Don't just say things like that." Her hands around Daisy tightened a little, and the latter whined softly. Kris eased up, but her lips remained pursed after.
She should probably have said something more, explained that her situation was complicated, or maybe that her celebrity status changed things- She could have maybe explained that her mom was doing everything she could for her benefit, that she lived in luxury because her parents had worked so hard, and that there was still so much they did for her in other was as well. She had a dozen and one reasons all lined up so fast that even her writer was a little stunned for a moment. Instead: "Please don't say something like that again." was the simple request.

Skye was taken aback by her sudden outburst, it felt like he had just stupidly stepped on a land mine. Even the pokemon were surprised, Psyche stared at Kristina and then stared at Skylar. He was honestly confused, he couldnt understand why she she was reacting this way. More so he felt his heart sank, he didn't mean to upset her. But he felt conflicted, on one hand he felt guilty but on the other hand he was like??? No??? She couldn't just ignore everything and pretend that everything was okay. She couldn't just ignore her problems, whatever they may be. Hold on there Tenebrose, you're doing the same thing too. It wouldn't be fair for him to say anything more. But what did it matter? He felt like he already ruined anything he had here. Maybe he'd never see her again....he supposed it was just. He sat quietly for a moment, unsure if he should even say anything else. He simply nodded, another five minutes passed before he spoke up once again. "I'm...I'm sorry."
Maybe he should just go. Kristina Vasiliev

In that five-minute silence, Kris's attention had flickered away from Skye. She'd shifted a little and pulled out her phone instead, allowing her eyes to drop to the glowing screen. Scrolling through some messages and emails, she'd answered a couple here and there, but her senses were still open, her mind still painfully receptive to Skye's thoughts.
As intuitive and understanding as she was made to be with her psychic powers, Kris was more than aware that Skye hadn't meant any harm. Though she didn't pry into his thoughts, he basically listed out his justifications in thought form anyway, so it wasn't hard to grasp just why he had said such things. He found a situation very similar to his own and was saying what had worked for him, or something akin to that. Distantly, though, she wondered if he might be better online, writing out these kinds of monologues rather than saying them aloud and being left to the silence. Probably…
The apology had her gaze flickering to him again, and for a moment, she stared before giving a small nod. "Forgiven," was the sole word that escaped from her. For all she was and all she wasn't, Kris sort of deep-rooted precision in her voice right then. She could have said no problem, it's fine, or otherwise, but that would imply that there wasn't a problem and that… wasn't truthful.
A weird breath slowly drew in and out of Kris. The superficial part of herself was ready to move on from this conversation, but the understanding part of her was very aware that Skye was also lonely. Her eyes raised and flickered over the various park and playground equipment not far off. Forcing herself to stand, she looked back towards Skye. "Hey let's go swing," she spoke making a small point and then ebbing around the park bench.

And just like that he had been forgiven, well it couldn't possibly be that easy. No, he was certain it would be a while before she would be actually fine with it. Maybe longer if she was the kind of person to hold onto things like that. Well, he supposed this was out of his hands now. He should probably leave, surely he overstayed his welcome. And it seemed obvious that this was the end of the conversation based on how the girl took to her cellphone to do...actually he didnt know what anyone would do with a phone aside making calls. This may have ended badly but he did enjoy the time the other allotted him.
Before he could get up she already was up and looking over the park, then looking back at him and asking him to go swinging. He turned to see a gated area with a swingset in place. He looks back to her and nods.
"Sure."
He stands up and walks with her towards the swingset.

Shifting a little, Kris stood as well. She'd set Daisy down for now, giving her a small pat on the head before turning and starting in the general direction of the swings as well. The Espurr hesitated for a moment before following after her trainer anyways. She was still worried, as were they all, actually, but she was the one to take it into her hands for now.
Kris, meanwhile, wandered up to the swings pretty easily before sitting down again. The flurry of her dress might have worried her with this kind of thing, but the temperature had kept her in long leggings underneath for more than several months now. Leaning back into the swing, she let it go forward and then moved her legs to slowly gain some height. "If you're around for a while you should come see my performances sometime," she started talking again, as if everything was fine, as if nothing strange had happened. "It'd be really nice to have a familiar face in the crowd." Despite the fact that she hadn't actually even see his face.

Skye took the seat beside Kris and started swinging slowly. Psyche was clinging onto his shoulder. She loved swings and made happy meowing sounds as the swing began to pick up speed. The silence was long between them, it was starting to worry Skye but then she spoke. Maybe she did forgive him, she was inviting him to see her performing at a couple of contests here. He hummed curiously, he didn't actually have to leave the city just yet despite just thinking he should. He wasn't sure how good shevwas, if he was honest she was probably amazing but even talented people needed support. Sure he was a little short on cash right now but he could manage. "Of course, I'd love to." His voice unknowingly perked a bit. He almost sounded like a puppy wandering around, looking for attention. God that sounded so pathetic. He cleared his throat, trying to prevent his ears from turning red and making it obvious that he was a little embarrassed. "I uh...thanks, for the conversation. It was nice." Kristina Vasiliev

Kris's lips quirked a little at Skye's response. His tone was so straightforward, and she kinda sorta appreciated it. "Thanks," she answered back with a small shrug. She wasn't exactly sure when the next one would be, but hopefully soon, as soon as soon could get.
The statement that came after, however, had her pausing for a moment again. Her features shifted, her eyes scanned over the boy. Even without peeking into his mind further, she was aware of the rejection he'd faced, the loss and whatever else. "If.. you have a phone or any of the regional devices… we could swap numbers?" she ask-offered raising a hand to show off her pink HoloWatch. She could just as easily fish out her phone, but that one was with her all the time anyways so, yeah.
As creepy as this conversation had started, and as weirdly as it had smoothed out, she wasn't too excited by the idea, but maybe with time that could change. Texting, IMing, and whatever else would probably make things easier.

He wasnt sure when the nect contest was but he could always find out and keep tabs on the dates. He paused for a moment as she offered to keep contact via mobile device. He didn't really own a phone per say but also, why would she want to message him? He hoped she didn't just feel sorry for him and decided to offer. He stopped swinging altogether to grab his backpack. He rummaged through it until he found his holocaster. It was pretty old but it still worked just as well.
"You don't have to really, I appreciate the offer. Uhm I don't own a phone but I have this. Is this okay?"
