As the thanks hit the air, Lucien closed his eyes briefly. His inner eye focused again on Skye’s aura, tracing over it for signs that it had stabilized at least some and— yeah it kind of had maybe ish. He leaned back against the bench and ‘watched’ Skye put himself back together again. Good, that was good, yeah.
It was only as Skye started talking again that a gold eye would flicker open once more. “Surez…. Ac’tually ya know what might be cool?” he asked slowly shifting and standing again. Ugh he was sore for whatever reason heh. Popping one arm and then the next, he looked around and then nodded.
“Derz’sah set up ‘f a bumpercar thingy somewhere ovar there,” he commented thumbing back in the direction of the main festivities. “We should go find et heh.” It dealt less with depth perception and more with smacking into people and having fun so… yeah. Pulling out his phone and scrolling through a few attractions, he found it again. “Jus’ gotta go this way.”

Skye tilted his head curiously, bumpercars huh? He remembered seeing one the last time he went to a festival like this, it looked really fun and there was no aiming required so why not? Skye perked a bit and nodded. "Sounds fun, we should go do that." Skye started to head into the direction Lucien pointed out. As they headed out of the empty roadway Skye's anxiety was passing, it was as if a great weight on his shoulders had been released. It seemed a little silly now that it was all over, it was nothing to be upset over and yet it got to him. Perhaps, holding onto those feelings was not a very good idea. It sounds like given right? But sometimes the mind just immediately bottles things up without even thinking. This was something Skye was for sure going to fix. Especially since he thought about maybe going to see his aunt somehow, secretly of course. "Have you ever driven a car before Lucien? I feel like bumpercars is everyone dream of driving but without worrying about crashing and stuff." Skye didn't want the entire walk to be silence between them, even mutual silence didn't seem to be a good idea at the moment. Skye attempted some lighthearted banter to ease the awkward sensations he was feeling. He was so not used to this friendship thing. If anyone could even call it that. Lucien Benoit |

Walking alongside Skye, Lucien allowed his vision to flicker forward and draw over the numerous shops and stalls again both closer up and in the distance. If he squinted, he was pretty sure he could already make out the aura outline of the bumper car pen, heh. Skye’s words, however, pulled him from these thoughts.
“Ah yeah,” Lucien grinned a bit. “Learned ta drive a couple years back ‘n Alola.” That had been an experience, heh. Rather than have a parent or educator teach him, he had learned from one of his older friends. Perhaps that was for the better given how much more comfortable he was around peers. Perhaps it was for the worse because he picked up some of their bad habits, heh. “Gawt mah driver’s license ‘ere in Veria too, ‘n a motorcycle license.” He flashed a grin as if asking Skye to ask more about it.
“Bumper cars ‘r tha most fun tho’ fer sure.” They didn’t require eyes on the road, attention always focused, safety first, insurance, and Arceus knew what else. They were just…. things to smash and people to knock into, heh.
“Ya drive?” he asked turning the question around again pretty easily. Some part of him doubted it given Skye’s vision, but who knew. Tech was pretty high now a days, and if there were supposedly self-driving cars somewhere in the world, there had to be cars with those kinds of driving modifications or something, right?

It was interesting to hear that Lucien knew how to drive, Skye didn't really go anywhere near cars in general. Most people usually use mass public transportation or even their own pokemon give or take. He knew his aunt drove but she like bikes in general, she attempted to teach him but without his right eye he had no hope of being allowed to drive. At least the bumper cars didn't require a license, or two eyes. Skye shook his head as Lucien asked if he drove. "I can't, usually if you have enough vision in one eye you can still drive with one eye but that on top of my prothetic that I need to wear hinders my vision too much." He shrugs, it wasn't a huge deal to him since he was used to travelling on his own. He never really had the need for a car, it was more of a luxury than a necessity. Though he really like to be in a car and drive around, just to see what it was like. He perked up at the motorcycle license because of course his aunt rode those, he loved riding on the motorcycle when they were in Alola. "You can ride a motorcycle? That's cool! My aunt did too, we used to ride around the island on her bike. I think that was my favorite part of living in Alola." Lucien Benoit |

Lucien’s features fell a little as Skye began to explain his own limitations. Being reminded that Skye only had one eye on top of having a face mask for daily business just… kinda sucked— er. Hearing about it and knowing it and imagining it made it suck. Wait— No that wasn’t. Ah fuck it. It just sucked, end of story.
At least Skye seemed to perk up some at the mention of a motorcycle. Oh yeah? His aunt did? “Mannnnn ‘f ya were ‘round when ah was in Alola ‘t wouldah been great ta race ya,” he grinned toothily before shrugging his shoulders some right after. “Ah have a couple bikes ‘ut jus’ one ah ride ah lot.” The other few were in states of repair or used specifically for aesthetics heh. “Mah dad hates ‘em ‘ut ah love ‘em…” Never mind that his dad worried more for his safety than anything else when it came to such things. “We should go ridin’ sometime…”
But anyways for right then…. “Ey look,” Lucien pointed forward. The bumper cars were right in front of them now. A small noise of giddiness escaped from Lucien as he scootched over to ensure that they could get in. Yes the ride manager was happy to take his money, and Lucien was already skipping over into one of the cars. “Hurry up Slowpoke!”

Skye snorted at Lucien's comment, "a great race you would've lost. My aunt was a speed demon on her bike." He remembered the few times they raced at night where it was just stretches of farmland for miles on end. He'd always look behind him to find the lights of the other bikers way off into the distance. Skye wondered where Lucien kept all his bikes, he didn't really see them at the ranch. To be fair he didn't know they existed so there would be no need to deliberately look for them. "Sounds like your dad is a worrywort." There was nothing wrong with being worried but worrying about eveything wasn't very good on health. Also Skye noticed that Lucien seemed to reference his father in a negative manner, hmm, where they not on good terms? Skye would ask but then he'd look like a hypocrite declining Lucien's offer only to ask privy questions of his own. "Ah, yeah we should..." He was really lost in his thoughts and trying to catch up to Lucien who not only had longer legs, but had the audacity to start running off towards the bumpercars. Lucien snickered a little as Skye described his aunt. Well damn she sounded neat as hell didn’t she? Hella yeah. So much better than his own dad. A small, semi-more-somber nod was given at the follow up statement. Yeah, Dad was…. Dad was something.
ANYWAYS ON TO BUMPERCARS! Collapsing into his own car and laughing a bit as Skye spoke, Lucien shurggged his shoulders in response. “Ah’m nawt that tall! Yer jus’ slow~” he insisted before feeling the familiar charge as the bumper cars started up. Hitting the singular pedal in the small car, he went zooming forward and slamming right into the side wall. Mwah. This thing was a little hard to steer heh. Twisting it around and hitting the gas again, he went dashing sideways to Skye’s car. BUMP. BADUMPH. A sharp laugh reverberated from Lucien.

Skye made a noise to the blonde's retort, yeah right!? He looked like he was 7 feet tall, a liar it was he was right now. Skye got into his own little car, he tested out the steering wheel and pedal before zipping off. Depite the crappy vision that he had he was still able to get around without any obvious issues. Although he had to drive this things away from walls, he could drive with his left side facing the wall but then he wouldn't be able to see anyone coming in on his right. If he drive the opposite way he'd be able to see the people but then he'd forget the wall was there and run into it. A lot. As he was still attempting to figure out which way to drive this thing he got slammed by Lucien at his side. There was a loud thump and the sound of Lucien's laughter. A small 'oof' came from blue hair young man. "Nice driving there sport, where'd you get your license from? A cereal box?" He said in a joking but dead pannish manner. It was mostly to poke a little bit of fun at Lucien. Skye drove off quickly before the other could even respond, oddly enough he was able to get past some of the other bumper car riders without getting bumped. Wasn't the point to bump into them? Yeah but it this thing was hard to steer enough as is it, trying to purposely bump someone would be very impossible. Now once he stopped trying to bump them he skidded past another driver and slightly bumped into them. He could hear the panels above exploding with electrical energy. Lucien Benoit |

The joke was indeed a little too old for Lucien’s time, but he laughed anyways. As Skye turned and started on, Lucien grinned and closed both eyes. Focusing on the auras in the area and sensing where and how they were moving, he started to drive again. A girl in one of the cars yelped when she was knocked into and would squint on seeing Lucien’s eyes closed. He wouldn’t see it in her face but in the changes of her aura, and a small laugh escaped from him as he backed up and went driving around to smack into others still.
“He’s got some serious luck,” one of the boys commented as both of them noticed what was happening. Lucien wouldn’t let their conversation go on long, however, as he trued and rammed them both where they were left.
“HAH!” Yeah, he was maybe having too much fun right then. It seemed like as soon as they had started, the ‘game’ was already over, though, and as the cars came to a halt again, a whine escaped from Lucien. Ahhhhh. That had been so much silly funnnnn.

Bam! Skye jerked around in the little car as he smacked right into a person's car. He could say honestly that he didn't see them as they were deep on his right hand side. As he attempts to back up, he only heard the crackling of the electricity above him. He backed up hard enough to bump into the person behind him, he could hear the kid curse under his breath. Before the boy had a chance to say snything else, Skye turned. The look on his face was priceless, Skye's prosthetic scared the holy arceus out him. The kid squeaked and sped backwards as quickly as he could. Skye waved, what a weird kid. As Skye started to drive around again, he noticed the other riders were steadily avoiding him now. Oh. Okay. Guess the fun was over now. He sighed, thinking about pulling over and getting out. It wasn't much fun if no one wanted to run into him. That was when he felt someone run into him, hard. He jerked around in a painful manner. That actually hurt, he turned around and saw the kid that ran away from him. He backed up and ran into Skye. Again. And again. And again. And again. If Skye didn't know any better, this guy was trying hurt him. Why? Because he made him scream like a little baby? "Dude its just a game. Chill out." This only seem to piss the other rider off, he backed up more intending for the next hit to knock Skye out of his car. Whelp, time to run. Skye hit the pedal and shot off away with the kid behind him, he could've sworn he heard a scream, 'come back here and take it like a man' from the kid. "Phrasing my dude!" He shouted back, at least with people trying to avoid him he could get away from this crazy idiot. Oh where the hell did Lucien go? His monocular vision couldn't find the blonde anywhere, how did he loose a 7' blonde giant within this small enclosed area? Lucien Benoit |

Lucien had missed the entire situation with Skye and the other cart rider. Instead, as the ‘ride’ had ‘ended’, he had shifted to throw his legs out from the car. Man, he knew he was tall, but he didn’t expect to feel like a sardine when coming out of it, heh. Guess that was what he got for going for a small car! Hahahah. Ah well, looking around at the others that were starting to get out of their own cars right after, he did see a strange guy making a beeline for— Woah, what the—
The guy may have been fast, but Lucien was faster. His long legs let him intercept the guy headed for Skye a couple paces before. “Woah dude, what tha—“ A sharp noise escaped from Lucien as the guy raised a fist and slammed it against his cheek. Recoiling a couple of steps, Lucien blinked, a mixture of surprised and dazed, to see this guy still walking towards Skye. “Ey chill the fuck out—“ Lucien snagged the guy but the wrist but was swatted at for his troubles.

The ride was over and Skye leapt out of the cart faster than one could say salsa verde, oh man this guy was pretty pissed off as he too got out of his own cart and started making his way towards Skye. He should run but then he'd leave Lucien behind, Lucien could find him later though it was time to flee. Skye manuvered around people trying to get to the exit, he only heard Lucien's voice and a smacking sound. Skye turned and saw a fist slam into Lucien's face, this kid was either stupid or terrifying. A combination of both was probably worse than anything he could imagine. The other was heading towards Skye again who was now hiding behind the booth where the ride manager has been standing, perhaps he had gone on a momentarily break before starting up the ride again? Skye kept the booth between him and the other male who was still reaching for him. "Come on man, I want to leave here without any significant bruising." Before the other could close in, Lucien grabbed the other's wrist and now the young man was taking out his aggression out on Lucien. It was then that staff and other festival goers called in security who escourted the young man out. Skye rolled his eyes, they couldn't do that like five minutes ago when this dude was going after him? Lucien could take a few swats of hand here and there, but as that hand closed into a fist again and socked him upside the face, he was left gritting his teeth. “Enough dude,” he snapped/snarled, his own hand reaching up to seize the guy’s arm again hard. A green aura encompassed part of his hand as he squeezed, and finally the other man recoiled a little. As the fighting was stopped by security, however, and the clearer culprit was escorted away, Lucien was left standing there scowling a bit.
”Hey are you ok?”
Yellow eyes flickered back to Skye, and out of habit, Lucien found himself smiling a little. “Ah yeah, t’s fine…” he answered shaking out one hand and setting it on the back of his neck. “Do ya know what the fuck was up wit’ that guy? His aura was all…” Lucien squinted and then shook his head in an effort to clear it. It was fine now, yeah? Not like his face couldn’t recover heh.

Skylar frowned as he watched the red mark on Lucien's face begin to swell, it looked rather painful. The blue haired young man winced a bit, hands reaching up into his pigtails and swiftly tugged on them to calm himself down. He sheepishly looked up at Lucien who looked thoroughly pissed off with the guy, but looking back at Skye he smiled. Skye looked away, feeling heat at the back of his neck. "Sorry, it's all my fault. I bumped into him out there and when I turned around my face scared him. He ran off and everyone that saw laughed at him. I think he was upset he was embarrassed." Fingers continuously tangled and pulled the blue colored hair, he sighed. He supposed it couldn't be helped how things turned out, it was probably for the best. Had Lucien not stepped in Skylar would've gotten hurt, he wasn't much of a fighter and didn't have it in him to hurt anyone. Nonetheless Lucien didn't have to get hurt, why were people like this sometimes? He looked back at the blonde, he wasn't sure what he meant by his aura. Skye could only assume it looked angry, he'd imagine bright reds and lots of edges. Those kind of things looked aggressive right?
